Honest shop, gave me a fair assessment of my vehicle problems. I decided not to have work done and he didn't charge me for diagnostics.

Very friendly and knowledgable.got ma another transmission so I maybe able to keep my car a bit longer.but gave me advice if I want to sell my 1996 lincoln Thankyou read more

The owner or manager is a very honest man. We thought we had a problem with transmission and all he did was put an oil and it was fixed. They could've literally told us anything to charge us but they never did. Didn't charge as well for the oil or service. Highly recommended! You can trust them with your car read more

Honest fair pricing Will definitely use again! Scheduled appointment and done exactly when they said it's be done. read more

Lost the transmission in our GMC and though we have a trusted mechanic for smaller jobs, we wanted to take it to a shop that specializes in tranny repair. Found Bob's on Yelp (thanks Yelp!) and was confident once we read the reviews. Went to the shop and met Bob personally, which left us more confident in our choice. Bob was friendly, knowledgeable, and quoted us a very fair price. Turnaround time was reasonable, it came with a warranty, and the truck drives like a dream! So happy to have a trusted transmission specialist in town!! read more

The most honest transmission shop in the area. They also do vehicle repairs. I went to Hoppys transmission now closed in 1990s and it was the worst. read more

The following review is from my grandfather. Going to Bob's transmission was the right move for me He was Honest, fair priced, and did my trans fast. My old truck shifts like when it was new now. Also he is a real nice guy. read more

This repair was out of the blue. I found Bob on Yelp and gave him a call. He sounded honest and competent so I took a chance and had my expedition towed over to his shop. Without ever seeing him or his shop. He did exactly what he said he would do. it was fixed and ready to drive within a week or so. No issues. It was not the cheapest repair; but I've had low ball repairs in the past that ended up being more costly and done poorly. Bob's transmission has been great so far. read more

Can't say enough good things about this repair shop ! Honest , reasonable, and quick ! Did a great job and was so happy !

Bob's Transmissions did a great job on my truck. The throw out bearing went bad and completely failed last week. I made an appointment to drop off and get a diagnosis. Bob got it done in one day! Diagnosis was done by early afternoon, and the work was done by early afternoon the next day. I really appreciate the quick turn around. I got my truck back before the holiday and had been prepared for a delay due to Thanksgiving. Thanks, Bob, for the hard work. I will be recommending Bob's Transmissions to my friends. read more

The GM TH 350 Transmission in our '30 Ford Hot Rod was having issues: it would not upshift, hardly at all. We left it with Bob, hoping not hear too bad ($) of news about what he found. Few hours later He called to say that it was just the transmissions vacuum modulator hose that had fallen off! He put a new one on and said that it shifted fine. Further, he said that there was "no charge"! WOW! I am so amazed that there are still trustworthy, honest businesses .. especially, here in Las Vegas Valley. I will say that I had heard many good things in the past via word of mouth about Bob's Transmission. I heard " Best Trans knowledge in the valley"," honest", "reliable", "Old School values and work ethic", etc. I'm here to tell you that it's all True! If you have Transmission problems, no worries, go see Bob! Signed: a customer for life. read more

Do not let these guys touch your truck!!!! They can't build a transmission to last a year!!!!!! They had 3 chances with mine and changed me for the first and the third time cause he said i was out of the 1 year !! When you go back they make excuses, blaim you .... They kept saying im waiting for a lift . I gave them so much time they dont care about you the customer!!! They dragged me along like i was begging for free work !!! Do not trust them !! Guy had me pay him 3 time in home depot parking lot i felt so shady!! Sure enough bunk tranny!! When none of his work lasted a year!!!! I ended up going to aamco paid the $$ but i have 3 years no worry warranty!! read more

I've met Bob, he is very honest and comes very highly recommended from friends and other shops that also recommended his service, he has gone an extra mile, to help me after dealing with a other bad shop. I really like that he stands behind his work read more

I was shopping around for my transmission to be replaced which I opted for the transmission with the 3 year warranty unlimited miles since I plan on holding onto my 2002 Ford Explorer a little longer than I expected to. I met Bob and was immediately impressed with his way of doing business, he's a no frills true salt of the earth guy! That transmission had to be ordered and said it would take roughly 3 weeks to get in and he had it in just over 2 weeks a d gave me a call and said he had the transmission in and when can I bring it in, I brought it in at 12:30 and the next day he had it out and running to where I picked it up that following afternoon. Easy to deal with and delivered what he said he would, if your looking for someone that truly appreciates your business I highly recommend Bob's Transmissions read more

Had a great experience at Bob's. Bob was genuine, friendly, and most importantly honest. I will definitely use him for any future transmission issues, and will be recommending him read more

All the reviews are accurate! That's the reason we took our F150 here for a transmission job. They contacted our warranty people right away & worked directly with them for a smooth & fast completion. When minor issues came up afterwards, they took her in again and corrected the issues in a very timely manner and with no more charges. The owner is personable and honest. More than fair prices too. Highly recommend this business! read more

No one likes to have to take their vehicle into a transmission shop. But knowing that Bob's Transmissions came highly recommended by a mechanic I completely trust, it made my trip to Bob's stress-free. After my replacement transmission arrived for my GMC pickup, Bob called to have me bring my pickup in the next day. 24 hours after bring it in, my pickup was repaired. My new transmission has a 3-year nationwide warranty with unlimited miles. Bob is a great guy and knows how to take care of a customer. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Bob's Transmission recently installed a clutch in my son's mustang. I found Bob to be friendly, knowledgeable and honest. The work quality is great and they got the job done fast. There was an unfortunate incident in which one of my son's wheels got damaged during a test drive. Bob was professional and paid to have the wheel restored back to new, with no hassle. I highly recommend his services. He will have all of my families transmission business. read more

Transmission tune up , and general car repair. Very honest. And knowledgeable and on time

I am beyond pleased with Bob's work! My 4L65E transmission kicked the bucket. I pulled the trans myself I was going to rebuild it. But once I got it up on the bench I could tell someone had been into it before. I suspected, it needed more than a basic rebuild. So I called up Bob mid afternoon he told me he would have it ready the next morning. So I dropped the trans off with the rebuild kit. Bob called me back two hours later and informed me that my suspicions where correct, it needed some hard parts. True to his word though I picked it up the next morning. I've been driving it for a month now with no issues. It shifts very firm but not hard. I love towing my boat with this old rebuilt transmission. Support your small local business where a hand shake still means something. Big thanks to Bob and his team Jake read more

Bob is a great guy who's professional and fair. He's the ONLY person I will ask to service my vehicles.

Well Bob saved my butt again. The brakes were shot on my 1986 Jeep Wagoneer. He had it all done in super time and advised my one axle needed a seal and the local drive line shop to recommend. Bob is an outstanding man with the patience of a saint. Highly recommend for any and all repairs. He rebuilt my transmission in this same JEEP 2 years ago, no issues ever. Thanks Bob! Had an appointment at Ford Country to look at my transmission. Showed up for appointment and was told they don't work on transmissions ?!?!? Because of this we found Bob's Transmissions and so glad we did. We called and he said to bring the car over. Turn out it wasn't the transmission after all. The problem was fixed the next day. Bob is a nice guy and I would recommend him all day long!! read more

My car started making horrible noises and emitting noxious fumes. I took my car to Bob's and he provided great service. He replaced 2 coils at a fair price and referred me to another excellent mechanic for additional work. I'm delighted with his work. The high ratings on his business are well deserved. read more

I visited Bob a few times and all were great experiences - I highly recommend Bob's Transmissions!

We had a check engine light appear on our car seriously right when we were going to get a smog check to register our vehicle (worst luck ever) It was a pretty scary code, (im not a car person) but it was about the torque converter. Looked up some information on that and OMG that can be a pricey problem. Called a few shops and received many different answers/quotes. I spotted Bob's Transmissions on Google and noticed how close it was to my home (literally walking distance) and thought, why not? Good reviews on both Yelp and Google so I gave him a call. He told me he could do the repair, to bring the car in and leave it for a bit. We expected to get a call saying "that will be 3,000" instead we received a call that said he had it fixed up, gave us a startling low cost and said he got it smogged and it passed. He did say that if the light came back on we would have to do a different repair and gave my husband an approximate price (still about 2-3k less than others I called) and said to come on and pick it up. I am so grateful that we decided to bring our car to him. He didn't try to sell us, didn't just jump to the big ticket repair and saved us thousands of dollars. You just DON'T find anyone like that anymore. We have another vehicle that we have been driving until it dies before going to get a new vehicle because we knew that if we took it anywhere it would amount to thousands of dollars, but we might just bring it there and see what they can do for us. I think we have finally found our regular car place. read more

Bob is the real deal. Replaced my automatic tranny in a 2004 GMC Sierra with a reconditioned/rebuilt unit with a 3 year warranty. Installed for under $3000. It now runs like a dream. Honest, no worries, no BS and no hard sell. This is the guy. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Other then dental work, one of the scariest consumer decisions you can make is choosing a transmission shop. There are so many horror stories out there. After conducting research over a few days, including Yelp, I called up and Bob answered the phone. He walked me through the process and gave me a price. A solid price and not an estimate that would get jacked up at a later time. In addition to rebuilding the transmission for a fair price, and since the transmission was coming out, they replaced the rear main seal on the engine which stopped an annoying oil leak. It's been a few months now and all is well with the world. Thanks Bob! read more

Outstanding service! Bob is a very humble man who won't overcharge you. Very reasonable prices. I was being charged close to $2,000 at another place (not including the $119.00 they charged just to confirm required repairs) whereas Bob's transmission charged me $1,634.00 for a clutch and slave cylinder change. That's close to a $400.00 savings. I'm very grateful to have found this place because nowadays it's difficult to find a reputable mechanic and one who won't overprice the parts. Speaking of parts, they used all dealer parts on my repairs. His great service didn't stop at savings or dealer parts, I was kept informed on the status of the repairs. I was called after initial inspection, midway through the repairs (to let me know we were on track with scheduled completion/pick up date) and at the end once repairs were done. The shop is quite a distance from me so I pretty much saved closer to $300 but even then it's totally worth it. I've attached the quote from the other place and the final receipt from Bob's transmission. read more

You know why this guy has a 5 star rating? Because he deserves it. Let me tell you about Bob. We all essentially want three things from our "car guy", right? 1) Honesty / integrity (without that trust , it's a non-starter), 2) a top notch mechanic who thoroughly knows and takes pride in his craft, and 3) someone who is reasonably priced and knows things are still tough out there for everyone. Bob exceeds that criteria and more. He's a damn nice guy on top of it! We have an old beast of a car that was on its last leg, and Bob not only saved it, but it's running better than ever! Do yourself a favor ... for ANY of your car needs - big or small - take your car to Bob's Transmissions. You'll be glad you did. Tom read more

My car died and had to be towed to Bob's. I had to leave the key and catch a flight back home. I caught Bob on the phone before the flight. He was so kind and empathetic to my situation. A day later he quickly got back to me with the result. My car was beyond repair. (Not their issue) He gave me several recommendations on what to do since I wasn't from the area. He went above and beyond helping me out with everything. I highly recommend Bob's and his customer service is top notch. read more

fixed transmission issues on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Took skids plates off the right way and put them back on, which is no easy feat. Once inside he looked at everything and serviced what needed serviced too. Very nice guy. Fair. Great work so far about 6 months in with no problems. Will recommend to my other jeep buddies. Bob replaced the transmission in my Acura (same as any Honda transmission). His price was $600 less than the dealership and $1000 less than the independent Honda shop I normally go to for all my work. He was very informative when I brought the car to him in the first place as well - I got more information about the problem and my options in 5 minutes than I had from the dealership/service shop I went to before, even though I had asked about the transmission multiple times since it seemed to be slipping over the last few months. Bob was actually the first person to tell me the specific transmission error codes that were showing in my car - the check engine light was not on but I guess there is a separate transmission error log. If the issue had been minor and repairable, I'm sure he would have identified and fixed it instead of just charging me for a transmission replacement. Most importantly, he replaced several broken parts at cost with no additional labor charge during the transmission work. I have tried to get mechanics and dealerships to combine work like this for a discount in the past with no luck, but Bob said that of course it makes sense to do it all now. He used all the correct OEM parts purchased at a Honda/Acura dealership for the repairs. I highly recommend Bob's shop to anyone who needs transmission work. read more

The automatic transmission in my 2004 Honda Accord V-6 quit on me. I came across Bob's Transmissions in Henderson on the internet. I called Bob & he was very pleasant & friendly. He replaced my transmission with a rebuilt one from a rebuilder who only rebuilds Acura & Honda transmissions. The rebuilt transmission had a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. Bob also replaced broken motor & transmission mounts & a leaky heater valve with no additional labor charges. Bob indicated that he used factory original dealer parts in his repairs. He kept me informed of his progress during the time he had my car. My experience with Bob's Transmissions was very positive. He is honest; pleasant; easy to work with; his bill was reasonable; & he had the work completed in the time frame he gave me. My car is running very well with no problems. I would highly recommend Bob's Transmissions without any reservations. read more
