One of the helper springs that was installed to bolster the rear of the truck for towing.
    Lisa W.

I was referred to Urban Auto Workz by Firestone because I needed specialized helper springs installed on my truck to assist with towing a trailer. Zach and his staff were professional and knew exactly what I needed. Zach took the time to explain how the springs would benefit my driving, and I felt the overall price he offered was very fair. As soon as I got my truck back I noticed an improvement in the way it was driving, even before hooking up a trailer. The back of the truck is a few inches higher which gives the front tires better contact with the road. It makes a huge difference, and I'm very pleased. I will definitely bring my truck back to Zach and his crew when I need it serviced again.

I also purchased brand-new black lug nuts so the entire setup would look clean and finished. Unfortunately, the service experience was very disappointing. When the work was completed, my brand-new wheels looked like they had been handled very roughly. The lug nuts looked worn as if they were years old, and my center caps had visible scuffs and surface damage. It appears the wheels were treated very aggressively during installation. The service manager who took my order also did not seem to listen carefully to my requests about how I wanted the wheels positioned and mounted on the van, which caused confusion and delays. I had previously left them a low score, and this is an updated review. I gave them more business hoping that this time things would improve, but I am even more disappointed with the outcome. Overall, I feel that my investment in new rims and tires was not respected, and the service quality did not meet the standard I expected. I feel that the damage caused during service outweighed the value of the work performed, and I am very dissatisfied with the experience.

He called Discount Tire for me to see if they carry my size in stock - I have a small sedan - and they did. This was right around 5:30 pm. I was stressed about the time since Discount Tire closes at 6:00 pm. When I finally got to Discount Tire around 5:45 pm I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming attitude of every employee I encountered ... I expected them to be bummed and maybe not have a great attitude that a person (me) showed up so late, right before closing. It was a great experience and I am so appreciative that they not only got me back on the road but did it with a professional and uber courteous manner. To the owner - whoever is in charge of your hiring, keep them. Your staff is wonderful. Every young face was friendly, professional and had a great attitude. I checked out on 6-16-26 at 6:16 pm.

Had a terrible experience here read review:…read more The dudes over at the Mark Street location are a bunch of Joes-- drive an extra 5 minutes and head over to the Sunset Location. I came in for a brand new set of tires all around for my Mazda 3. They ended up doing the ""balancing and alignment"" These Joes ended up adding more than 14 quarter-ounce weights on a single front wheel. They were basically chasing weight. Instead of thinking, "Hey, this is a red flag, maybe we should break down the tire and check if it's good," they just kept chasing it. I took the car home. Mind you, this is my lady's car, not mine. She gets on the highway and tells me she feels a rattle going past 50 mph. I take the car for a spin and feel the exact same thing. I take it back to these guys and tell them, "Hey, I noticed you have over 14 quarter-ounce weights on the front of a Mazda 3. This is a small car; that is completely out of the ordinary." They ended up doing it the "right way" and got the balancing done. I took it back on the highway, and it wasn't rattling anymore. Cool problem solved. Look, accidents and mistakes happen. When you're working out in the field in the Nevada summer, I understand people get tired, lazy, and have customers coming in non-stop. However, a couple of days after they fixed that little inconvenience, I took the car for another spin and noticed a new creaking noise. The car has fewer than 30,000 miles on it and is only two to three years old. So, I finally decided to bring it over to the Discount Tire on Sunset Road. These guys are the best; they actually know what they're doing. They aren't just a bunch of Joes--they're all in sync and know exactly what's going on. Immediately after I brought the car in, their technician checked it out and pointed out that the weights from the other shop were hanging out of the wheel instead of being placed on the inside. Now, that wasn't the cause of the creaking noise I was hearing, but the fact that another technician could immediately point out such unprofessional workmanship says it all. The quality of work at the Mark Street location is just incredibly poor. If I were you, I would take your money and bring it over to Discount Tire on Sunset. These guys know what's up, they don't waste your time, they tell it to you straight, and they will actually address any issues with you. They don't have junior apprentices or random Joes working on your vehicle. I don't know what is going on over at Mark Street, but they seriously need to get their technicians recertified. Taking two extra days just to get a full set of tires balanced and aligned is ridiculous. It should have been done right the first time. This is basic, standard work. They are a bunch of Joes over there and a complete waste of time.

Until today, I had never stopped at any Discount Tire store. I had only a short wait at the service desk. I explained that I needed all four sensors replaced and I asked for a quote. Their quote was all inclusive (out the door taxes, parts, service) which I found extremely reasonable. Their price was literally hundreds of dollars cheaper than my local dealership quoted me. I asked to be placed on their calendar and the service writer told me they could do it then. When I asked how long, he quoted me an hour. I handed over my keys and the wait began. After an hour, my car came rolling out of their shop bay. The mechanic who worked on it came into the waiting room and spoke with me personally. Afterwards, I paid my bill and I was on my way in exactly the amount of time quoted. And the pesky TPMS dash light was thankfully extinguished when I departed. The waiting area was clean and everyone I spoke with was very nice and professional. I sat near the service desk and I listened to interactions between staff and other customers. It was the same. Staff were helpful and those others appeared to have left very happy with the service they received. On a final note, they scanned all four of my tires on my car. I had good tread left and they did not try to upsell me new tires. I appreciated the hassle free and prompt service along with the very reasonable cost. I would definitely come back here when it's time for new tires.

First, I called the number provided and nobody answered. No biggie, I left a message on the obvious Google Voice system, it's been 48 hours and I'm still waiting for that call to be answered so I'm guessing nobody monitors that number. After I called, I took the time to fill out a detailed "request a quote" form and provided exceptional information to the respondant to save them time and effort if possible. I did receive follow up message where I described my issue in depth, I provided my availability and my general location and was told that I would be notified of appointment availability. Long story short, 18 hours of silence from the company led me to take my vehicle to a local shop and get my vehicle serviced. Almost 48 hours after requesting a quote I STILL haven't been offered an appointment. I guess it's probably a good thing that I'm not stranded beside the road waiting, I'd probably be carjacked by now. Not saying the dude doesn't do good work, but you must need to be special to get respect of an appointment or at least enough courtesy to decline the work because you don't have time.
