I chose Urban Automotive because of their good reviews, even though it meant driving clear across town. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I called to make the appointment, I clearly explained the issues I was having with my vehicle. The woman I spoke with told me the diagnostic fee would be $49.99. Based on that information, I scheduled the appointment and drove across town to bring my vehicle in. When I arrived, the same woman then told me the diagnostic would actually cost over $200 because what I described was considered "two separate issues." I was extremely frustrated because I had already explained those exact issues to her over the phone. What bothered me even more was that once I questioned the price, she suddenly wanted to give me a full disclosure and explanation of how their diagnostic pricing works. That information should have been disclosed to me when I made the appointment, not after I drove across town and showed up expecting the $49.99 diagnostic fee I had been quoted. None of this was mentioned during our original phone conversation. I decided not to have the diagnostic done because Hyundai charges around $200, and for that price I would rather take my vehicle directly to the dealership. My issue isn't that a diagnostic can cost more depending on the problem. My issue is how the pricing was communicated to me. If I had been given the full disclosure over the phone and told that my particular concerns could result in multiple diagnostic charges totaling over $200, I could have made an informed decision before making the trip. Unfortunately, I feel I was misled when I scheduled the appointment. Being upfront with customers about pricing from the beginning would have prevented this entire situation and saved me a wasted trip across town. read more

The shop worked quick to get us in. I already knew what the issue was and was going to fix it myself, but at 110 degrees and not all the potentially required tools, I didn't really want to start something I didn't want to finish. I had all the parts already, but the shop said they couldn't use it as they warranty their work and have to ensure the source. That was a bummer on my end due to markup vs what I got them for, but in the end I still didn't want to do the work. They warned that my vehicle, an older Jeep, was known for snapping bolts and potentially tripling the work. I knew that, it was one of the reasons I didn't want to deal with it! The shop said they'd try to avoid that issue, and they took care and made it through with no broken bolts. Vince up front and Zach the owner were both very friendly, explained everything, didn't keep tacking on hidden costs, and so far everything is working great. Their prices were fair and they do an entire vehicle inspection that you can pick and choose what to address. Honest, fair, quality work. I couldn't ask for a better garage for me and my family. read more

Best service I ever had. My fuel pump went out on my Mercedes. The team did a fantastic job fixing it and updating me throughout the process. I loved the front office staff as well. Very sweet and easy to talk to. I never felt like a bother and they answered all my questions with great attitude. I highly recommend Urban Auto Workz! The owner, Zach, and his team are absolutely phenomenal. The scheduling is simple, the pricing is best in town, the service is quick. I had my 2024 Camaro 2SS and my 2008 Chevy Silverado with a 7 1/2 inch lift on it aligned here along with a full inspection. The full inspection is so sweet. Thanks Urban Auto. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else. Good honest mechanics. Good friendly quality service

Zack and his team over at Urban Auto are great! Super personable and knowledgeable about cars, they walk you through exactly what is being done to your car or what went wrong!! You get 10% off when you pay in cash, but all car fixes cost money so it's hard to say how they fair price wise but you don't necessarily feel like you're been taken for a ride here which is nice. I had a truck that another shop wrote off as needed a new engine but Urban Auto went the extra mile and was able to bring my baby back to life, no engine needed, and it's been driving wonderful ever since!! Definitely feels like these guys know cars and what they are talking about when it comes to your vehicle!! read more

Urban Auto Workz 1010 N. Stephanie Street Ste C4 Henderson, NV 89014 702-568-7226 Zach Hall Service Advisor Shawn Coakley Technician You contact Urban Auto Workz (702-568-7226) if you want the most highly skilled, ethical, and fast, people anywhere in Las Vegas, handling your vehicle. You are NOT taking any chances with these guys. They are real people who know how good they are and do not need to be anything but honest. I cannot stress this enough. You will never need another mechanic again! I LOVE THESE GUYS! THEY ARE HONEST. CARING. HIGHLY SKILLED. THEY LISTEN. THEY DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! Thank you, Zach Hall, my Service Advisor, who gracefully, with a fabulous and caring attitude, handled my tow from that ARROGANT and USELESS Chapman repair center. I was a wreck over my Durango after the treatment I received from Chapman. AND VERY DESPERATE. There's no better opportunity for a repair shop to take advantage of you when they know you are helpless. I cannot say enough good things about Zach Hall. He did not overpromise. He, and his shop, did exactly what he said they would. He listened to my explanation why I needed to be towed out of Chapman AND GAVE ME THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. I'm not sure too many places would believe you over an established service center. And not take some liberties with your charges as long as they come in under the original quote. I still cannot believe how professionally they handled things. At the end of it all, the cost for all the repairs I needed came in so much lower than I expected, I started to cry. I was that humbled and grateful for the honesty and fairness. Zach Hall is a highly ethical business person and extraordinary human being. That is a fact! Within fifteen minutes of receiving my Durango, Shawn Coakley had her starting. Which was a repair Chapman would not do. (Please see that review.). And why I had her towed in the first place. Within hours, I also had a perfect diagnostic of my vehicle. All aspects. Pictures. And very well-written explanations by the BEST AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN I have ever met, Shawn Coakley! What he found made sense, and the urgency for each indicated clearly. He maintained constant, relevant, communication with me. It was very obvious how highly skilled he is based on those conversations. You can be forthright and confident with the customer when you actually know EXACTLY what you're talking about. Like with Zach, Shawn did exactly what he said he would do. He took time to review his quote, and even after I accepted the total, he came back and was able to take a significant amount off that figure as he went along! AND TOLD ME! I'm sorry, but that is honesty you do NOT come across anywhere. This is hands down the VERY BEST AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP ANYWHERE. Accuracy, skill level, timeliness, pricing, ethics, and honesty. All in one place. I am forever grateful for the recommendation that had me calling Urban Auto Workz! read more

I was referred to Urban Auto Workz by Firestone because I needed specialized helper springs installed on my truck to assist with towing a trailer. Zach and his staff were professional and knew exactly what I needed. Zach took the time to explain how the springs would benefit my driving, and I felt the overall price he offered was very fair. As soon as I got my truck back I noticed an improvement in the way it was driving, even before hooking up a trailer. The back of the truck is a few inches higher which gives the front tires better contact with the road. It makes a huge difference, and I'm very pleased. I will definitely bring my truck back to Zach and his crew when I need it serviced again. read more

Great service provided for my '08 MBZ C350 & '05 ML 500, Zach and his team took great care of me.

I took my truck to Urban Auto Work yesterday. I had 8 tires in the bed of my Dodge. This was last minute. I was desperate to get my tires swapped out, as the ones I was driving on were terribly bald ! A mechanic named Zack got right on it. It was no small job either. Everyone there was so nice, and personable. This was on a Friday afternoons, late afternoon. They didn't have to take me, but they did. Needless to say, all work was completed in a timely and professional manner. The cost was very reasonable too. I am So Thankful to Urban Auto Work and all of the employees who helped me. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop. They did a full analysis of my car and gave me a link to review the diagnosis online. I have an old car that is nearly at the "end of life" stage. Zac was very helpful and really considered what was worth doing and what was not. His honesty was so refreshing. He could have charged me a couple $1000 but with his recommendations in the end it was only couple of hundred to keep me in the road for a while longer. Historically finding a good honest mechanic has been a shot in the dark. Look no further... go straight to this shop you won't regret it! Thanks Zac :) read more

When I was young and unaware, I was taken advantage of at another car shop. I'm glad Urban Auto Workz was recommended to me as this has not happened here. When I did get work done recently, they sent pictures and followed up with a call. Never had I had that done before. Just the other day I received a text checking how my car was running. Pretty awesome service! They never hound me or give me ridiculous prices. I have more work that needs to be done, but get it over time and I will continue bringing my car here when she needs a little more TLC. read more

I was told by another shop that my engine block had failed, and I am really glad I got the second opinion because UAW was able to correctly diagnose what was wrong and get my car back to me in 3 days. The pricing was fair, and the work was high quality. When I had a question a few days after I got my car back, I was able to roll up and ask Zach right away. I've been to a lot of mechanics around town during my nine years in the valley. I guess it's a spin of the wheel if you will get good service here or not. My usual mechanic was booked up. So I used my trusty yelp to see if I could find an honest reliable, affordable mechanic. So I found this place. So I told him, this is what a mechanic said was wrong with it. My power steering hose was leaking. So I took it in. It cost me $349.00 w/ oil change. (Now my A/C stopped working the day after I got my car from him). Welp, 1 week later, it's still leaking. So they said, ohhhh, well you said it was this hose, and it might be another hose. Ok, so you just lost your honest card! If it wasn't that hose, and you changed it anyway, you were just after $$$ So then they said, oh, one of the other hoses clamps was loose. So they supposed to have tightned it. Well it was still leaking 1 week later. So I took it back in. And he said, ohhh we found out what hose it was. It's going to cost you $130.00. (I got it done for $84.00) At that point, I was done! I didn't want him to touch my car again. Hell, he might have put holes in that along with the damage he did to my A/C hose. No we didn't mention it to him at the time, because I wasn't sure if I was going to let him repair it or not. And I decided not to let him touch my car again. When I took it to the guy to check out my A/C he looked at the hose, and said to me, have you had any work done on your car. I said yes, my power steering hose. He said, we can't prove that they did it, but this is where they were working, and he was the only one that has worked on my car in months, now all of a sudden it's not working! Did they do this on purpose, did they do it on accident? Regardless, they know they did it, and they should have repaired it! So it's like gambling, if you go to them, I wouldn't advice it! And I'm only the dutchess, because I had to take my car backk so many times for the same problem! read more

This is so long overdue. I found Zach randomly on Yelp about a year ago after my truck needed an alternator. It was pretty pathetic having to get towed to a shop...a first for me. Zach's shop was the earliest open and most convenient location. Since that time I have come to trust him as a superb mechanic and a great resource for all my auto questions. I most recently spent a morning getting some work done and even had not one, but two fellow customers absolutely raving about his work. It's very nice reassurance when others have the same experience! Zach you are fantastic! read more

I had an issue with a "sound" coming from my right front wheel. Having done a simple suspension lift and had the alignment done immediately after, I couldn't figure out why it showed itself. I took it to one guy and he said it was my lower ball joint, so I had him repair it. Still didn't fix it. Took it to another guy and told him to go ahead and check camber and toe on the alignment. Said there was an issue with the toe-in and it "could have been the problem"....still didn't fix it. I asked Zack and Mike about it and IMMEDIATELY...they say "it's your wheel bearing". They take it for a 1 minute test ride and confirm. While there, WE looked at the other one too, and decided it was on it's way to being the same problem. They didn't try to upsell me, but instead let me feel the roughness in the other rotor and simply "recommended" I keep an eye out on the other one too. They removed and replaced the two rotor/hub assemblies in about an hour and a half. Car rides 20X better than it did, and considering I can't remember how long it's been riding rougher in the front end, I'm glad these guys were so quick to diagnose. Can't imagine how many MPG I lost running that rough on damaged bearings. Nice guys, and very very helpful. Cannot recommend enough! read more

Today was my second time taking my car to Urban. Again, they did a quick and fantastic job. I had the dreaded check engine light come on my dash a while back and it's almost time to renew registration so had to take care of it soon. They plugged into my car and got the codes that were making my light come on. Had to do with fuel mixture and the manifold pressure sensor. Mechanic rooted around my engine for a few minutes and discovered a vacuum tube had fallen off the sensor. Attached it back on the sensor and problem solved! Only charged for the diagnostic part and nothing for the actual fix. Out of there for $50! Thanks for being honest. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing work done. Second time in 2 visits they kept the cost down and helped me out. read more

Stands behind their work! Great guy. Zach is patient and explains what you need. He works on three of our cars and I have no problem leaving our cars with him. He's done work on our brakes or fluids and more and everything is backed by guarantees and warranty. No complaints here. I saw the other review and my question would be if they went back to the shop to allow the mechanics a chance to find what happened. I highly recommend this owner and I believe he's super honest. My 1999 Honda accord was stalling for the last 7 months and I took it to several mechanics and none of them could figure it out. I have never before experienced an auto mechanic so honest! Zach was highly recommended to me as trustworthy, by my business partner. I brought in my car that I had neglected to maintain properly. I had some expensive repairs, as quoted by another shop. I took it to Urban Auto Workz for confirmation of the assessment, and they concurred. I had agreed to do the repairs and then just before starting the work, Zach informed me that my mileage was low enough that it might still be covered under the manufacture's warranty. So he was so gracious in not charging me and I took it to the manufacturer's dealership and they looked at it and because it was my own neglect declined to cover it, and suggested the most expensive route immediately. But the fact that Zach would even offer that I check with the manufacturer was surprising. And then I brought it back to him and there was a preliminary fix we could try before the super expensive fix and he was open to trying and has done wonders and I'm very happy with my car and he saved me many thousands of dollars versus my other alternatives. Zach is a genius and he has integrity. I would highly recommend the shop. He treats customers like they are customers for life so he doesn't try to maximize his profit for every visit to his shop.
