Once I took my Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel to Brice, he explained the costs I should have paid and offered me great savings on future issues with my 2008 truck. He explained the Diesel engine issue that could destroy my engine from one loose bolt and I verified this Diesel engine destroyer. Brice fixed this at a reasonable price and while fixing that replaced a failing starter. Brice's customer service is outstanding. It's almost as though he treats every vehicle he repairs as his own and wants it to be fixed right the first time. America's garage is the only place I will take all of my vehicles forever!

I chose Urban Automotive because of their good reviews, even though it meant driving clear across…read moretown. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I called to make the appointment, I clearly explained the issues I was having with my vehicle. The woman I spoke with told me the diagnostic fee would be $49.99. Based on that information, I scheduled the appointment and drove across town to bring my vehicle in. When I arrived, the same woman then told me the diagnostic would actually cost over $200 because what I described was considered "two separate issues." I was extremely frustrated because I had already explained those exact issues to her over the phone. What bothered me even more was that once I questioned the price, she suddenly wanted to give me a full disclosure and explanation of how their diagnostic pricing works. That information should have been disclosed to me when I made the appointment, not after I drove across town and showed up expecting the $49.99 diagnostic fee I had been quoted. None of this was mentioned during our original phone conversation. I decided not to have the diagnostic done because Hyundai charges around $200, and for that price I would rather take my vehicle directly to the dealership. My issue isn't that a diagnostic can cost more depending on the problem. My issue is how the pricing was communicated to me. If I had been given the full disclosure over the phone and told that my particular concerns could result in multiple diagnostic charges totaling over $200, I could have made an informed decision before making the trip. Unfortunately, I feel I was misled when I scheduled the appointment. Being upfront with customers about pricing from the beginning would have prevented this entire situation and saved me a wasted trip across town.

I had all the parts already, but the shop said they couldn't use it as they warranty their work and have to ensure the source. That was a bummer on my end due to markup vs what I got them for, but in the end I still didn't want to do the work. They warned that my vehicle, an older Jeep, was known for snapping bolts and potentially tripling the work. I knew that, it was one of the reasons I didn't want to deal with it! The shop said they'd try to avoid that issue, and they took care and made it through with no broken bolts. Vince up front and Zach the owner were both very friendly, explained everything, didn't keep tacking on hidden costs, and so far everything is working great. Their prices were fair and they do an entire vehicle inspection that you can pick and choose what to address. Honest, fair, quality work. I couldn't ask for a better garage for me and my family.

I can't express my gratitude enough, so I'm writing this review! He is a genuine mechanic and knows what he is doing. Prices are reasonable and not overly ridiculous for labor. Not only did they diagnose and fix the transmission problem, but they also discovered other issues I had no idea about. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me so I understood exactly what was going on with my truck. What really stood out was their communication. They kept me updated the entire time--whether it was parts being ordered, delays in delivery, or progress on the repairs. I was never left wondering what was happening, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. They even provided pictures showing the damaged parts side by side with the new ones, which really showed their transparency and attention to detail. On top of that, they made sure to test drive the truck to confirm everything was running smoothly before handing it back to me. They also stepped in and corrected a mistake made by my warranty parts vendor, which could have easily turned into a much bigger headache. That level of honesty and dedication is hard to find. Overall, Sonny's Auto Repair is professional, thorough, and truly cares about their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work, and clear communication.
