Rick the owner of Henderson transmission, that's one smart cookie. I am in the automotive business and deal with a lot of different automobile shops. I must say Rick has to be one of the most knowledgeable transmission guys I talk to. Fix a couple problems with the 700R4; Rick got it right in and out to me the very next day for a very great price, and fixed a couple other items at no charge. So take it from a car guy. Henerson Transmission is the best in town that I know of. I lived in Las Vegas for 30 plus years! read more

Hands down the best transmission shop in the valley. Owner and techs are super knowledgeable and honest. They always go above and beyond.

Honest group of guys. We have used them for our business and I recently used them for my 69 Ford rebuild.

Just had my 1948 Ford coupe Transmission worked on at Henderson Transmission. They were able to get it in and out quickly and able to fix the problem I had. Thanks to Steve and Scot for all the great help. I would highly recommend them. read more

I thought I had a transmission leak but it turned out to be an issue with my water pump. Although they said they don't typically do repairs beyond transmissions, they fixed my issue by they next morning. Very professional and trustworthy. read more

I've been taking my vehicles to Henderson Transmission for years. I have a Ford 7.3L diesel truck which unfortunately had the transmission give out around 85k miles. They ended up rebuilding it for me and it's still running strong at 240k miles (plan on keeping it awhile!). I'm pretty happy the transmission has already lasted twice as long as the factory transmission. I've had them do fluid changes as well as recently had them upgrade the transmission cooler as the stock 7.3L cooler is a little small if you're towing much of a trailer. Always have had a good experience and don't feel like they're trying to sell me services I don't need. read more

Steve and the team at Henderson Transmission are second to none! I picked up an old squarebody GMC pickup to restore and hit some shows in other states. Long story short, had a u-joint let go and take out the driveshaft, pinion yoke, and tail-shaft of my 700R4. Brought what was left of my transmission to Steve, explained what happened and what I was looking for in a rebuild. A couple of days later, I was headed back over to pickup my rebuilt transmission. Steve set my build up with a heavier duty 4wd case, factory high stall torque converter, custom shift kit, and heavy duty inspection cover. Steve was a wealth of information on the initial install and line pressure adjustments as this was a bench build and I was installing it myself. Once I had installed the unit, I immediately drove the truck over to Steve to have him double check my install and to make sure I'd set the line pressure correctly. After a quick couple of adjustments my the master... I was back down the road eager to get on with my build. Bottom line, Steve and his team at Henderson Transmission are top notch full stop. No sizzle sold here. These lads deliver a result and that is a huge smile each and every time I hit the go pedal!!! read more

While on vacation in Las Vegas, my transmission completely went out on me. The dealership quoted me an outrageous amount to fix it. Luckily, I found Henderson Transmission and they quoted me a very reasonable amount. Steve was amazing to work with. He was always very responsive and was very knowledgeable and explained things to me in layman's terms. I couldn't recommend this company enough. Don't hesitate to take your car here! read more

Came in and I thought I was gonna have to pay 600-1000 bucks and the guy told me 150 out the door and it took them 35 minutes from the time I walked in til I paid and left. I will forever come to these guys. Best in the valley for damn sure! read more

I visited Henderson transmission on two occasions. Once for my Saturn Vue and another for Plymouth Acclaim. Steve Harris was the tech that worked on my Transmissions. He made my tragedy into a pleasant experience. He explained everything very well and you can tell he was knowledgeable in his field, in the end I sent him two more clients. I would recommend this shop to everyone that is in need of transmission help. read more

Honest, great service, and saved me money. I compared to other places. Yes to Henderson Transmission.

Outstanding shop, service, and people. Rick and Steve are good folks. As honest, and ethical as it gets. Went to Henderson Transmission for a rebuild on my Chevy S10 with 120,000 miles. As soon as I got it back, I took it on a trip to Reno and back. No issues, absolutely perfect. Got home, and with daily commuting (about 3,000 miles) came a small shift issue. Took it back, and Steve stepped up and diagnosed the issue in not a lot of time. Turns out one of the new parts in the overhaul kit failed. Steve put me back on the road, and for all his efforts in diagnosing, and repairing the issue did not charge me a dime. Would not "take" anything either, I offered. Said I already paid for the warranty with the original cost of the overhaul. Wow, now when was the last time you heard of an ethical shop honoring a warranty without a hassle ?. I've sent others to Henderson Transmission, and they were just as pleased as I am. "Character" is a good word for this business, as they have it. read more
