The perfect beginners class to Pilates!!! I signed up on ClassPass and took the Launch class- Intro to Pilates. I walked in expecting to learn the basics of Pilates form as well as learning the basics of the reformer. The instructor Aileen provided the basics and a whole lot more!! Not only did we go through the basics of Pilates, including breath work, pelvic positioning, and technique, but we learned so much about the history of Pilates. While we performed basic movements the reformer, Aileen went into great detail about where Pilates originated during the war and how it became to be the widely loved practice it is today. This was definitely a beginners class so I wouldn't recommend if you're already experienced with the various pieces of equipment including the reformer and the chair. read more

This studio has ample classic Pilates classes, however the construction and now lack of parking have made it impossible to get to. Not to mention their prices are sky high now. If you don't live within walking distance or have a huge gym budget look elsewhere. read more

I like convenience. When I lived in Roscoe Village, I got really into pilates and it didn't hurt that I only lived a few blocks from my studio. When I moved, I barely did pilates - it was mostly here and there through ClassPass. In 2022, I was feeling comfortable enough to start working out outside of my house and decided to give LQSP a chance. I'd been there once before on ClassPass ages ago and didn't love it and recalled it being really crowded, but I felt like now that the pandemic had more or less stabilized it made sense to give them another chance. I've been taking mat and reformer classes with regularity, most frequently with Aileen and Logan. I was a little apprehensive going to my first throwback jams class. Throwback is such a relative term; but I love the playlists Aileen puts together. Her classes are some of the most challenging, but accessible mat classes I've taken. I love the clarity of Logan's direction and the precision of the reformer movements we do. When I can swing it time-wise, I try to do 1 mat and 1 reformer class a week. Reformer classes are small (5) and mat max out at I think 8. I'll admit when class is full, it is a tight fit. The team at the studio is super nice and I really enjoy my classes there. read more

Fun studio with lots of energy. Chris is a very welcoming and smart instructor. Space is snug and parking limited, otherwise a gem.

New owner & great instructors! What a gem to have in the neighborhood! I especially like Wendy & Chris for my Pilates needs. I think they are the very best! read more

I've been going here for 3 or so years and just love it. Class sizes are small which allows the instructors to really be able to help you and ensure you're doing things correctly and safely. My favorite instructors are Aileen and Bonnie. They've really helped me transform my body and get me in the best shape of my life! read more

Let me just tell you - this place is so special to me! I started taking Pilates a little over a year ago at a great studio in Lakeview, but every time I would slog to the studio in the snow, I would secretly wish there was somewhere in my neighborhood. Fast forward to the opening of Logan Square Pilates! I felt like I had WISHED this place into existence! At the time I was taking dance classes, and when I started taking Pilates Mat with Angela, I really felt connected and informed by someone with some extra secrets! Then - I started taking equipment classes with Aileen! What a treat she is! Aileen's informative and fun style got me hooked, and the two of them kept me coming back and trying more classes! I will say, I have only done Pilates Mat and Pilates Equipment, but I am so dedicated because of what an amazing space this place has provided me that I am now going to begin pursuing my own Pilates Certification. I love love love this studio! A true home not too far away from my home :) read more

Logan Square/Avondale area is a bit of a desert when it comes to barre/yoga/Pilates studios, so when Logan Square Pilates opened up I was thrilled. The space is bare (think Swedish minimalist, but this is a specialized studio not a gym!) but well equipped. There are two sections - a back area that has four reformers and some other Pilates equipment and a front area that is for mat and barre classes. The front area can probably hold about 10-12 mats, which I prefer over a studio with 40 people falling over each other. I've taken two classes so far, barre and mat Pilates, and loved the teachers (Amy and Aileen) and the work out. Both are knowledablge and hands on enough to make sure you aren't injuring yourself. The studio pricing is more than reasonable for the area and type of exercise. I've already signed up for the 8 class a month membership ($116/month). So happy they are here and can't wait to see how they grow! read more

After being a monthly member for close to 6 months I can say this studio is still as amazing as the day I signed up! I can only speak for Pilates reformer classes, but they are consistently amazing! My main instructor Angela is wonderful! All movements are still explained, no matter how many classes you have taken. I always feel like I learned something about my body when I leave. I can't speak highly enough about this studio and look forward to every class I take! read more

I regularly attend the studio's Wednesday night candlight yoga class and it's quickly become one of my favorite weekly rituals. The atmosphere is both intimate and welcoming, the instructor is wonderful and leads with an inclusive and super-friendly vibe, the music is pleasant and unobtrusive, front-desk service is always friendly and familiar, the space and props/mats are super clean. It's just an all around positive experience and I couldn't recommend LSQP more. I also love that they support other small local businesses. read more

I dropped in because I had a free code for a class and have been curious about this place ever since I heard it was opening! Such a gorgeous space! Definitely on the small side, but that just means smaller class size with more individual instruction from the teacher. The studio is bright, clean, and very inviting. I tried the Barre Sculpt class (barre is my go-to workout), and it was challenging! Interesting to do barre from a Pilates instructor, real focus on working the core. Definitely glad I came. There's Pilates equipment in the back, which I admittingly know nothing about but I saw some people working on them and it looked awesome. I've been saying for a few years that Logan needs a female geared workout space, and I'm so happy to welcome LSP to our neighborhood. Love that it's local Logan ladies who started it too, so cool. Right now, I have a membership at another place so while I haven't joined LSP, I'll probably be back for more classes, since it's right around the corner from where I live. read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood!! tried out this studio the other day for a Pilates class and absolutely loved my experience there! The instructor, Aileen, was extremely knowledgeable about each of the movements and made the class fun yet challenging. Their mission is to "ignite confidence and vitality in our community through the core principles of Pilates: concentration, control, breath, position, and fluidity" - I really felt the passion and dedication that was put into opening up this studio. Such a welcoming vibe - I can't wait to come back and try out more classes! read more

Only took one class but so far so good. Brianna led our mat Pilates session. My first time doing pilates anywhere. She is very patient and in tune with the entire class. A good workout! The facility is clean and well lit. Instructor took time to explain each step keeping in mind people's inherent differences regarding pain threshold. And speaking of pain...was a bit sore next morning - sure sign of a kick ass workout. Added bonus....studio is right next to the Logan Square Spaulding blue line exit . So if you live along the blue line like my family and I do...it's easy to get to. Will be back here again! read more

I love the studio and recently was introduced to the beginners Pilates equipment class. I loved Aileen (the instructor) and her walk through of Pilates from its history to how the equipment works. I loved the workout, because it challenged my mind and body equally. I also love the location and how easy it is to get there and the variety of businesses I can visit after or before class. I feel excited to take another Pilates equipment class! read more

This is a fabulous, warm, and welcoming studio. It's very small, so you get familiar with your instructors and fellow students in an intimate environment. I completed both the equipment and floor class launch packs, which were a great deal, and was impressed with all my classes/instructors (in particular Aileen.) The facilities and front of house staff are both lovely. If I lived closer by and Pilates was more in my budget, you would see me there all the time! read more

I have been a regular here for almost two years and truly consider this another home. I've never had such a positive relationship with working out and fitness and truly feel better about my body's strength and resiliency because of the studio. I love the pilates reformer classes and have enjoyed all of the instructors! They really create a welcoming environment for all body types and shapes and folks of all experience levels. I love that the studio is small because I really get individualized attention and corrections in each class. It's so much more than a pilates studio, it's a community that I truly love being a part of. I also love their commitment to social justice and diversity and all the ways they remain really active in, and connected to, the Logan Square/greater Chicago community. read more

I understand that LSQP is a new studio, but they definitely still have some kinks to work out. I tried the new client offer of 30% off a 4-class package (group classes). I really wanted to love this place since it's so close to my apartment, but overall, I was disappointed. To me, especially in a small studio, the little things matter. The music choice always seemed to be an issue/distraction before or during class. The instructor didn't know what music to choose so they spent some time looking, or they were unaware of how their Bluetooth speaker worked so it was always some sort of debacle that did not make me feel relaxed before my class. Also, while doing a yoga class, it's not ideal to be able to hear loud music playing in the back room (there is a glass sliding door but it does not block sound). So I could hear the other class going on and ruined the mood and flow of the class I was in. Also docking stars for their online booking system. The whole point is for it to be convenient to purchase and book classes online. I already paid for my package and signed up for one class, but when I went to book a second class, it asked for me to pay again. Kristi was attentive and fixed the issue promptly, but it was still mildly annoying. The instructors, Aileen and Michelle, were both very nice and knowledgeable. This review is more so about the studio space/procedures than the instructors. Maybe I'm being petty, but if I'm signing up for a class, I expect it to run smoothly. read more

I moved to Chicago almost 4 years ago and have been looking for a Pilates studio that is affordable and well coming. This place is so Inviting and wonderful! The staff there are all so nice and accommodating. The facility is always clean and well put together. The instructors are so amazing at what they do. They explain things so well while giving you amazing workout and teaching mindfulness of your body. They always let you know when you need to make a correction to your form in such an informative and non judgmental way. In my experiences they are all very attentive and focused during class. read more

I love every Instructor. They make you laugh and feel so empowered. Classes are small and intimate so you become a community very quickly there. I am a Barre girl, but I feel so safe there that I am stepping out of my comfort zone and trying pilates, yoga and am loving them too! So my body is getting a full, amazing workout. Thanks, Girls for making me looking forward to getting my ass kicked!! read more

SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS STUDIO! I have done Pilates on and off my whole life and this reminds me of my very first Pilates studio back in NYC. Logan Square Pilates has been a wonderful, accepting place for me to get strong and help with a back issue. My spine is fused as a result of severe scoliosis and Aileen is extremely knowledgeable about body mechanics and knows how to adjust in order to make the class work for me. I never feel like there is a class I "can't" do as I know they'll help me. I love this place! read more

As a longtime sufferer of back pain, Pilates has provided the most relief for me. I was overjoyed to have this beautiful studio open in my neighborhood. Classes with Aileen are always a blast, since she brings such a positive and fun attitude to each and every session. She is very knowledgeable, patient and able to adjust exercises to each individual. As a bonus, the prices here are some of the best I've seen in the city. They also offer barre and yoga classes that are even more affordable. Do not hesitate to try a class here! You'll find a challenging, full-body workout in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. read more

New to Pilates so this is a totally new experience for me. I've been to several sessions and feel like I'm getting something out of them. I live close so love they have opened in Logan Square. Instructors are great very engaging and helpful! Still at it 5 months later, more class options now so I'm not bored. I can see myself doing this exercise for along time I love all the people I've met. read more

I'm so glad this fitness studio exists in my neighborhood. I have a mild, but chronic lower back issue that was being made worse by years of weightlifting. I wanted to stay strong and fit, but needed something that was more body mechanic conscious. After a private session with Aileen, I was more than impressed by how tough the workout was, but at the same time how good I felt after. I'm planning on visiting this studio for awhile. read more

Such a warm and welcoming studio. I'm coming back to pilates after many years and was a bit nervous! I felt welcomed and comfortable right away. The classes are small but the studio itself is spacious. The Instructor was gentle and explained the correct positions without making me feel bad or stupid. Do not hesitate to try this wonderful studio! read more

A very well run studio with nice equipment and qualified instructors. The launch packs are a great value and way to ensure new clients are familiarized with the studio and equipment. So if you are new to Pilates and have never used the machines - the launch class is really welcoming and geared to beginners - so it's a great way to get started. read more

As someone who is prone to knee injuries, LSQP is one of the few places I feel confident that I can visit often to get a great workout without the risk of injury. Im really in love with this place. I have been wanting to try pilates for some time now, but always felt intimidated by the instructors/classes and machines. When a friend told me about LSP opening and how close it was to the blue line stop in Logan, I decided to give it a try. I started out with a barre class, taught by Aileen. I felt this was a great first choice because the class gives you a little bit of barre but also a little bit of mat pilates. The hour class went by super fast, Aileen was attentive and helped everyone with their form - I am rather uncoordinated and it can get really embarrassing- AND there are only 8 people to a class, which I really like; it allows a nice pace without feeing rushed, nor do you feel cramped or self conscious. I was a satisfying type of sore for about two days, and could tell I had worked several areas that needed it, specifically core, glutes, and hamstrings. After this, I decided to purchase the package with 2 private sessions of machine pilates, which was discounted since LSP just opened. I've had one session with Amy and am hooked! I have mild scoliosis but work in a field that has me on my feet around 12 hours a day and doing heavy, awkward lifting, causing me to have chronic upper back and neck pain. After my 1st private session I could tell a HUGE difference. Pilates is all about breathing and using your core muscles for all activity. I always knew how important breathing and a strong core were but never really had someone properly show me how to train my body until Amy. I felt stronger and more fluid after just one session on the reformer and cadillac. Amy was very patient, thorough, and explained how to use both machines very well. Super excited to move forward with pilates and barre and feel even more pain relief and overall strength! read more

I started takin Pilates classes here and it really helped with my core strength and muscle balance. Great studio and staff!

I love it here. LSQP is a great addition to the neighborhood. I started with yoga, which was great, and have since added in the pilates equipment and some private sessions - Aileen is a delight to work with. The pricing is reasonable, and the location can't be beat. There's a very positive female-centered atmosphere, but it's also been great to see men taking the classes. The only thing to know is that it does benefit those taking classes to plan out their schedule, as the pilates equipment and other popular classes fill up and have wait lists. read more
