Midnight Session Cascadian Dark Ale
Vanessa L.

Wow, its been a while since we last visited Logan Brewing Company and they taste as great as I remembered! Was only in for a while on a Saturday evening as this was our last stop for our date night. There werent that many people at this time, so plenty of seating still available inside and outside. Outside, on the colder nights, the area is heated with heat lamps so if there is no room inside, you can enjoy some beer outside. My beer to enjoy was the Midnight Session. Hoppy and dark, a Cascadian Dark Ale. They offer a 16oz off the bat but they do have 12oz if you cant finish it all. Overall, will continue to come visit again when we are in the area.

Cute brewery with great service. I love that you can bring your own food and games to this brewery. Their beer choices are wide and they change what they carry often. They also have a wine slushy which is delicious and perfect on a sunny day. Parking didn't seem to be an issue, found a spot around the corner.

Randomly picked this location to stop in to check out the local brewery scene in the area. I had a layover of one night in the Seattle area and was staying near the airport. This was one of the closet breweries to my hotel. It is located on the ground floor of what looks like an apartment building. The surrounding area looks pretty new with a park across the street and several apartment or condo tours adjacent to each other. The area feels very urban designed to get people out of their cars and to walk around the area. Driving into the area and being dropped off, you can see many local restaurants and the local library. You also can not miss the brewery. There is a pretty good size patio out front and plenty of windows to see in and let light inside. You walk in and can see the beers on tap on the wall over the bar. You walk down a ramp to the bar where you place your order. If your like me when you walk into a new brewery, you stare at the beer list for awhile deciding what you want. It can get crowded here if everyone is looking up at the beer list. They do offer flights. I got a flight of four different beers and they were pretty good. They have a good mixture of different types of beer. Ale X Barleywine was pretty potent. Prismabloom Hazy IPA was pretty good. Mind on Midnight Cascadian Dark Ale was pretty good. I am not really a fan of coffee and beer combinations but this was not bad. Double Hearts Raspberry Sour Ale was probably my favorite. Sours are starting to be my go to instead of IPA's right now. Staff was friendly. It was trivia night when I stopped in and I was asked if I wanted to participate. Place was full by the time trivia started and the people here were serious about it. I have never been in a brewery almost full of people and the place so quiet. They do offer snacks for sale and you can bring in outside food. Walking in on the wall by the door is a map of local restaurants which I thought was nice for non local visitor. This is a definite must place to visit if you are looking for some local beer. If you are on overnight layover at SEATAC, it is quick 20 minute or so ride from the airport area hotels. It can be combined with a dinner visit to a local restaurant so it is the cost of two rides.

Got the chance to check out the newest brewery in Burien last night and I am a fan! Logan Brewing is right around historic downtown, in a quiet roundabout area. There's street parking and lot parking around, and I was able to snag a spot right next to the brewery on the street. The inside of the brewery is smaller, but seating is available. There's also a nice-sized patio, which is where we sat. They have heaters for colder months, but with it warming up I was comfortable without a heater! They also take reservations on their website for indoor or outdoor seating, which I took advantage of just in case it was busy. I tried the West of Wonder Hazy Double IPA (their collab beer with Flying Lion) and the Metagame West Coast IPA. They were both delicious, but my favorite was definitely the West of Wonder. So good, and really refreshing on a warm day! Two pints and 3 crowlers set me back $50, but I think that's reasonable compared to other breweries and for how tasty the beer is. Dog-friendly, too! Can't wait to come back here and try more of the brews!

It was my first time here and it was a great experience! I usually stay away from breweries since I'm not the biggest fan of beer, but the staff here made it bearable. We weren't sure what to get, but they allowed us to sample some of the options before we decided on what we wanted. After we got our drinks, we were able to seat ourselves either indoors or outdoors. It was fairly nice outside, so we went outside. The cleanliness inside and out is great. I believe they are also dog friendly since we always see people hanging out and drinking here with their dogs. They even have a little bowl of water for dogs to drink from.

I don't know how I haven't given this brewery flying colors on here yet. We go like twice a week! If I could give twice as many stars, I would. Logan Brewing opened during the pandemic and were able to make it through thanks to their awesome staff, the support of the community, and their AMAZING beers. The owners, Chris & Claire, are utterly fantastic people and are super passionate about this business. Their team is packed with friendly, knowledgeable staff who treat you like family. The brewery has a really cool video game theme to it, so most (if not all) of their beers make a slight nod to that which is nerdy. Okay, onto the brews. I don't even know where to start. It's all the best! Can it be? Well, it is. They have so many different styles, it's impossible for anyone to not find a beer to enjoy. Hoppy, sour, fruity, strong, dark, roasty, malty, low ABV, high ABV, even PINK. My favorites are their dark beers, personally. The "Star Chaser" Baltic Porter is not always around, but when it is, grab one. One of their flagship beers, "Mind on Midnight," is a CDA (Cascadian Dark Ale) and NO ONE makes a CDA, let alone keeps it around all year long. "Mind on Midnight" is infused with coffee from a little coffee shop just down the street, too, so it's got a lovely hint of java that just makes my heart happy. Events, local pop-ups, weekly trivia, holiday beer specials, and more! Keep an eye on this spot because they always have something fun and new a'brewing (get it? get it? yeah, I'll see myself out).

A great brewery find in Burien, just off the Main Street downtown in a space I've experienced quite a few times in Washington, under offices or apartments in a urban local. Very open, lots of seating inside and outside, shaded. Inside, you can see where the magic is made. I was lucky enough to have the owner pouring on a Wednesday afternoon, so it was great to get his take on their brews and his recommendations. You can definitely tell he enjoys what he does ( who wouldn't?!?) not only from our conversation but his conversations with other customers, very excited about what's coming up next or just canned. A great selection of beers, and if beer isn't your thing, they also have a good selection of ciders and wines. Interesting names for sone of their beers, loved the tip to Tolkien and Lord of the Rings and Jackson with their New Zealand Pilsner, made with NZ hops, "Don't tell the Elf" refreshing and crisp, a good, different take on a pilsner. Looking forward to trying more with return visits on tap. Also looking forward to their third anniversary celebration, August 12th & 13th! More bees to try!! They do have light snacks and you're welcome to bring food from the many food places nearby. Tasty beer and great friendly atmosphere. Yelping on... Cheers!!

Usually newer breweries don't escape my attention for very long in the Seattle metro area. But since Covid arrived everything got screwed up and I feel like I'm not on top of my game. It didn't come to my notice Logan Brewing even existed until I saw that they had a shirt entry in for a monthly t shirt service one month involving breweries around the country in which you pay and receive a shirt of your choice from a brewery each month. Shirts on Tap is the name of that service and it's really fun and where Logan Brewing was discovered on my watch. Logan Brewing is located in Burien which I have to say is refreshing to see because Burien and surrounding suburban area could stand to have a craft brewery or two. It's located in a redeveloped area and looks nice. With parks, shops and housing. It's a part of town I've never been to. For Logan Brewing I had one of their beers. I wanted something light and easy. So that is what I got. The Easy Mode was a very flavorful blonde ale which was perfect for the nice, warm day for when we were out and about. The taproom is clean and sleek and is a very enjoyable place to unwind. Glad I found out about this brewery even if it wasn't through the usual manner(which is scouring through various Yelp searches).

Great beer selection, super welcoming and happy staff, and awesome conversation. Great combination for a Beer Hoppers happy place. The Blonde Ale they have is an Award Winner, which is super cool. They also have a Hibiscus version, for the fruity lovers. *Thumbs up to both* The best part (in my opinion) about this place, is the heaters. I will sit outside all season if I can, so anywhere with outdoor heaters always gets my attention. That little extra perk made this place a WIN for me. The only bummer is the sound of the large aircrafts coming and going from what I assume is a nearby airport. The sound almost drowned out some of our conversations throughout the night. After a few drinks however, it starts to fade away.

As an appetizer, we ordered the grilled pork belly. Served on a bed of fennel & apple salad,(?) the pork was well-cooked, tender, and had a great smoky flavor. This was the high point of the meal for me. One of my family members ordered the fish & chips as an entrée and I tasted a piece of it; it was a tasty piece of fish and a nice tartar sauce, but the slaw served with it was over-seasoned and mostly inedible. My entrée was the pork schnitzel, and it was decidedly not what I was expecting. The pork was not pounded thin, but rather served as a 1inch think boneless, breaded pork chop on a bed of sautéed purple cabbage and a mustard sauce. It was tasty but not $30 tasty, especially as the pork chop in look & taste came off as Shake & Bake? I honestly am providing this place 3.5 stars because the pork belly was yummy and the other members of my party were mostly satisfied with the meal, tho one did complain that their burger was rather dry. While I would eat there again because I would want to eat the fish n chips and try that pork belly again, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for their first time in Burien.

The restaurant itself (and bar) is cozily set up, booths and tables, and charming art work from the movie "Caddy Shack" - loved that! The brisket sandwich was tops, the fries were good, the loaded potatoes are a fun option (the bacon was a little hard to eat - not crunchy, not soft). The main upset was the French Onion Soup, which was, let's just say, not their specialty area. It was overwhelmingly salty, with meager bread to soak up the broth. The server was kind enough to take it off our bill - it was, at least for me, inedible. My spouse thought the same. This was a glitch in an otherwise fine evening. Also notable was that, even though we came in about an hour before close, they never made us felt rushed. We will definitely go back for the ambience and try other menu items - and other drinks.
