    Live band and open mic.Tuesday.

BLUES JAM TUESDAY NIGHTS! If you sing, play, or love the blues, you will want to drop by Elmer's on a Tuesday night! I got there early and signed up on the list. I was the first one on it. The band plays an opening set before having the signed-up jammers come up. Then, it's mix and match guest musicians with the house band and other jammers. The venue is a pretty standard dive bar. Burgers and apps. I, however, had already had dinner, but I did have a couple of beers while waiting my turn to play. The wait staff is very very nice, and I think there was some snafu with my beer order, and the waitress made it up to me by buying me a small pitcher. Bless her heart. When I got called up, I played my harmonica with another jammer on guitar who also sang. We did a couple of numbers. Nobody ever asked me to get off the stage, but it was late, and I was tired, so I excused myself after about three tunes. I had a great time, though. It's been a while since I jammed at a bar. The last time was when I lived in Los Angeles, so this was my first attempt at the Seattle bar jam scene. So, I didn't try the food, so I can't really give the full Tony B review treatment. However, in rating my own expericnce, I wouldn't be able to deduct any stars. It's possible I may update this review later after trying the food. For now though, I'm going to go ahead and give five stars. BTW, if you enjoyed my review or found it useful funny, or cool, please don't hesitate to click the little button to say so, or better yet, go ahead and friend me. So go on! Press that button, and never miss a single one of my epic reviews in the Seattle area and beyond. Excelsior!

Jeez, what did they do to this place? The walls are empty, the music is awful pop-country (and no point in putting my hard earned bucks in the jukebox, because it's barely audible), the pinball machines are gone, and it's lit like a dentist office. I guess they're trying to not be a dive bar, but that's what they did best! Service is good, food is fine, drinks are alright. (McCormick for a well bourbon though? C'mon, folks get with the times, and put Evan Williams on the rail) Make Elmers Great Again!! Put some junk up on the wall, paint it a dark color, and switch to lights that are no more than 3500k in color temp, dim them a little, turn the music up!

Stopped in for a quick bite before a morning flight out of SeaTac airport since the neighboring breakfast spot had a 30min wait. Service was very fast and friendly.

    Jack Daniels Clock; cool.

I was surprised that the rest of the world (aka the people walking by on the sidewalk) disappeared while we had good conversation and great food. Dinner included a burger w/ sweet potato fries (fries were kinda bland, I think needed just a tiny bit more salt). Friends had grilled cheese sandwich and tator tots (also too bland), fish tacos, Caesar salad. All great except where noted.

We ordered the cheese curds along with the spicy dry rub wings. The cheese curds were delicious, and all of the dipping sauces were excellent, but for me, the real star of the show was the dry rub wings. They were perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had just the right amount of spice. I also ordered the BBB Signature Cocktail without the whiskey, and it was refreshing and delicious. Our server was upbeat, fun, and incredibly sweet. In fact, every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. The atmosphere felt like a true neighborhood pub, with plenty of TVs for watching the game and lots of regulars who clearly feel at home there. The guests seated in front of us were chatting with our waitress like old friends, which really added to the warm, community feel of the place. If you're looking for a laid-back neighborhood bar with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely worth a visit

My husband and I were visiting the Burien Farmer's Market and decided to stop in for lunch here. The day before our area experienced a heat wave. Apparently this effected this place of business. There were fans going everywhere, no a/c in place; I was hesitant to enter and I should have gone with my instincts. It wasn't awful so that we couldn't stand it, so we stayed. We had a very friendly waitress, wish I could remember her name but she was very good. I ordered a peach tea and my husband ordered a cider, I believe it was pineapple and another fruit based. I ordered the Ahi Taco Wrap and my husband ordered the Luna Fish and Chips. My husband's drink arrived with an apology from another server as she poured the wrong drink for him. He was gracious and took it anyway. Out come our plates. I tasted my husbands fish and found it seriously lacking in flavor; nothing great here. Now let's get to my Ahi wrap; I had serious issues with this. This includes tuna, avocado, cilantro lime coleslaw with chipotle aioli and lime on the side. House made chips and salsa were included. The wrap was hugely disappointing. The ratio of tuna to coleslaw was seriously off. 90 percent of this wrap was coleslaw. The chips weren't fresh and the salsa was just ok, had a sweet type of base, which I don't like in my salsa. The lime included was stale and I couldn't get a drop out of this. The chipotle was so so. The coleslaw had no distinctive cilantro lime flavor. This dish was entirely disappointing and priced at 19.95. Never again. My husband's dish had two pieces of fish and was priced at 18.50. So after the cost of the drinks, the meal was over 60. Shame on us for a few things: 1. For not looking closely at the prices 2. And for most importantly, for simply not grabbing a decently priced hot dog at the farmers market. I'm positive this would have been better and a better deal. We will not be back to this place. The only reason I gave this a one star was for the waitress and the peach tea. Seriously.
