Nicole our bartender/waitress was very friendly and prompt to provide service. She greeted us kindly and took our drink order right away. We ordered breakfast and the portions were very large. My BLT was fresh and the bread and bacon was crispy. Also really enjoyed the boards posted at the entrance with all the local advertisement and the giving back board with the thank you notes from the community. A really great hometown feel at the edge of town. The farthest place the college kids normally will go. Stop in if you are in the area.

She asked if I had been there before and asked me what I wanted to drink and gave me a menu. I come to EC a few times a year and this was my first time at CNH but it wont be my last. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (with crinkle cut fries) and an order of the cheese curds. Curds came out fresh, hot and crispy. Paired with their ranch, these were the perfect start to the meal. After that came out the freshly grilled burger and fries. This was a no frills burger, but it was exactly what I like. Nice char on the burger, melty cheese and crispy salty bacon. Each bite brought me to a family bbq that I was missing. Fries were hot and fresh, perfect in my eyes. CNH came in clutch for a quick lunch and I will be back!

solid place to grab some food and drinks…read more we randomly ended up here while trying to go somewhere else (let's just say my other half is not the best navigator). it was definitely a happy mistake. we got here on a Friday evening and did the fish fry with cod. it was delicious! the batter was nice and crisp, without being heavy. they also seasoned the batter really well. I think it was dill. either way, I feel like the batter is an afterthought at other places with fried fish. the crinkle fries were ok. I would have preferred them crsipier and with more seasoning. the service was great! our server, Ian, was top notch. friendly, without being overbearing. we had a great conversation and he really helped make our experience wonderful. give them a try. sure, it's off the beaten path, but the atmosphere was terrific and the fish is delicious!

Just a few things to mention. Service was very good. We were sat right away. We ordered pickle…read morefries which came out quick and were very tasty. One minor complaint for me was the amount of breading with a thin sliced pickle in the middle. For my meal I ordered the maple bourbon burger, I will say the burger was very salty. I couldn't finish it all, so I ended up taking it home. Here's my main complaint. I'm finding out a lot of places are not very handicap accessible including the lack of handicap parking, before we left I needed to use the bathroom. I could barely get into the bathroom with my walker. My daughter had to hold the door as I squeezed myself in. I'm not a big person either. Just a tight squeeze all together. Once I got to the handicap stall, there was no lights towards the back. It was very dark. I also noticed there were no rails to hold onto as I tried to sit down on the very low toilet. I'm recovering from hip surgery and it wasn't easy sitting/getting off the toilet. I also happened to look up to see if there were lights and maybe there were burned out and that's when I noticed a extremely dirty exhaust fan. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. Not a huge deal, but The District always seemed to me as a big upscale restaurant, I felt a little under dressed. I love the vibe and the music and the customer service was great during my visit.

Cute place, not too far off the river and within walking distance to a fun dessert stop, but the…read moreservice was less than stellar. It's the type of place you'd like to go and hang out it while watching a game. Menu for drinks is also fun. However, the wait for our food was nearly an hour and it wasn't crazy busy. I came into this experience very excited about the menu, but the execution was disappointing. We ordered "The Spread" with two different types of wings for our kids, along with curds and fried pickles. Our spread came out, after an hour wait, with only one of the wing sauces we ordered and it was not the one they really wanted. The pickles are extremely thin and very heavily breaded so it's hard to taste the pickles amongst the heavy breading. Curds were fine. I ordered the Balsamic Chicken Quinoa Bowl and to my surprise it came out cold. It wasn't cold as if it was made with cold ingredients, it was the type of cold that makes you think it sat for a while before being delivered to the table. If it is supposed to be cold, it should be notated on the menu. After waiting so long for our food we didn't even bother with asking for something else or letting the server know that things weren't right. We just wanted to get on our way to get to our destination. The server never acknowledged the long wait time or offered to do anything to compensate for it, which leads me to believe this may be commonplace at this establishment. I should have taken the warning from other reviews about the poor service, but since they weren't recent we thought we'd give them a chance to redeem themselves and earn a great review. Won't return.

The building is classic Wisconsin wood finished but with a modern feel to it. The interior space is clean and very inviting. The wood work is intricate. The service was top notch. The owners, Jim and Kim are super friendly. Everything about Wilson Creek is exemplary. Try it some night for dinner!
