When I picked up my car, the bumper looked good, however, there were a steak in the paint. The repair process was realized quick, and the communication throughout the repair process was clear and professional (frequent texts). Like most people who park outside, I received some damage to my truck (4 or 5 dents from hail). I was dreading the process I would have to go through to get my truck fix. After I received a estimate of damage from my insurance company and received my money, I started looking around to see what body shops are in the area. I found Critical Collision was only a few miles from where I live. I read all the reviews and every review was extremely positive. so I gave George a call and he was able to pickup right away. George is extremely nice and approachable. He took time to talk to me about the hail damage and the door dings I wanted to get fixed. He told me he can take care of all that and if he finds any other dings, dents or other imperfections that he would take care of those too. He told me that he would let me know when he can get my truck in and he would give me a call to schedule a time to drop it off. A few days goes by and he asks if I can bring it in today or tomorrow. I told him I would bring it in today if that still works for him. I drop off my truck and a little of 1 1/2 hours goes by and he tells me my truck is ready. Wow, that was fast! I head to the body shop and inspect my truck. All the hail damage and door dings are gone! it looks brand new. Do yourself a favor and give George a call. They are no longer mobile and have had the brick and mortar location for one year since the Austin hailstorm. I was referred to Charlie by the manager at Whitakers. Charlie or his crew used to travel to Whitakers to repair car dings. I had my car ding repaired at Whitakers by Charlie or his crew member six years ago for $200. They no longer travel to Whitakers so now Whitakers refers directly to their Cedar Park location. I made an appointment and was in and out in 45 minutes. The cost of the car ding depends on the location. My ding was located high on the driver's bend so they didn't have to open the door and were able to access it through the window. Charlie only charged me $150 for one ding. But with his contrasting light, he saw an additional two mini dings so he fixed them for free! I'm so happy that my driver's car door looks new!

He quoted me a more than fair price and told me that he wouldn't be able to remove the dent under my racing striped because it might pull up the vinyl. While I was sleeping, he fixed my hail damage. Lori called me at noon and told me it was ready to go. Matt told me he had found a few more dings while the car was under the light and had repaired them without calling me because he knew I was tired and needed rest. He also performed a miracle and repaired the damage under my racing stripe, which he had previously told me he would not be able to do. Truth be told, he did far more work bringing my car back to its pre-hail condition than we had agreed upon and he didn't charge me a dime extra. I would have been willing to pay him for his work but he didn't even charge more for the extra repairs he did. The work is beautiful and it didn't take him long to do it. I would recommend Matt and Lori to ANYONE and I will definitely be coming back with my second car that took a few hits in the same storm. This company gets great reviews and you'll see why in the first ten minutes of meeting them.

In my experience, Autocraft Bodywerks is not equipped to work on Teslas. After Central Texas's May…read more2024 hailstorm, my Tesla Y needed major body repair. I went against my better judgment and brought it to Autocraft Bodywerks instead of the Tesla Collision Center; the former had a shorter wait time. The San Marcos shop had my car for *four months* before returning it to me with a slew of problems, mainly an audibly loud wind noise coming from the passenger side, and both right side doors and the trunk not closing without being slammed. The South Austin location then attempted to remedy their sister shop's work (they did manage to repair some of the interior damage that was caused by the San Marcos shop - thank you for that, Tammie), but they did not fix the wind noise or the doors, and in fact there are now two additional external problems - one being the frunk/hood not being properly aligned and the other involving the trunk. It appears that they do not know what they are doing. I don't know how else to summarize my experience. Unfortunately, my insurance paid them upfront and now I'm left with a vehicle that doesn't function properly. I do not recommend bringing your Tesla to them.
