I went in today with a gift card from Christmas ready to shop. There was a large girl with long brunette hair, and a small girl with shorter blond hair and glasses. I was in there for at least 20 minutes. No one ever greeted me, no one ever came to tell me about any specials. They seemed to notice almost everyone else shopping in the store. They seemed to start fitting rooms for almost everyone in the store. And I seemed to wander around with a pile of cloths waiting to even be acknowledged. After being passed by several times by both associates waiting for anyone at all to offer me a fitting room , I set my pile of stuff on a table and walked out. Not sure what happened to the great service I've become accostumed to receiving here, but it was anything but. Worst trip in I've ever made. Maybe retracing these 2 so called customer service associates would be an idea. Very disappointed.

Low waist, boot cut, some stretch. I'm easy. But not quite as easy as I thought. When did all women start wearing only high-waisted jeans? Not my style. I was a bit overwhelmed and daunted when I chose this Levi's Outlet Store specifically for my "once in a decade" outing to find a few new pair. This location is closest to my home compared to another Levi's outlet and regular Levi's retail stores in Vegas. After being enthusiastically greeted by Sammy at the very busy dressing room who is delivering unexpected WOW moments of kindness to everyone walking in to try stuff on, all while addressing piles and piles and more piles of jeans he and staff will fold, sort and put back, I am still missing the mark on sizing and in-store availability. The frustration of jeans is why this is only a 'once in a decade" outing of me. Enter Skyler to the dressing room after digging around in the back to see if she could find a size for me. Although I walked out with only one pair of jeans this day, between Skyler and Sammy, these two employees really delivered what I did not see coming. Detailed and attentive service to seek out what I was looking for, checking labels for material composition to determine stretch, searching on their computer inventory/website, kicking in any discount they can where they can, and in the making recommendations to have items purchased on line with them right then and there and sent to my house. I am a local and I kind of really never consider this mall like ever for any of my retail shopping needs. I mean like never. It is kind of crappy mall and make no mistake, I still find it a crappy mall. But it is now a crappy mall with a beacon of light parked inside for me at the Levi' Outlet Store. Skyler and Sammy made all the difference in making this visit exceed my expectations. I am super pleased.

But we did find AEO and my sister was hoping to also find the jeans jacket we saw in Cali a couple of months ago, and we wanted to look at the T's and jeans. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and the store was clean. My problem was the guy with three GoPros taped together standing at the fitting room entrance filming. When I asked the person with the tablet in front of the store if the guy was filming she said he's in public and he's allowed. I didn't say anything at the time; however, that wasn't my question. I was more concerned that my likeness or image would end up on some two-bit Instagram 'influencer' post without my expressed consent or authorization or compensation. And even more concerned that this guy was filming at the entrance of the fitting rooms. Under Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) § 200.604, it is a crime to film someone without their consent in fitting or dressing rooms. Standing at the entrance to the fitting rooms with multiple filming devices did not make me feel very comfortable. In addition, the person filming cannot use my face or likeness to sell a commercial product or advertisement without obtaining a signed release form from me. The guy filming and the person with the tablet may not know who I am, but there are many, many, many others who do. So the chances of trying on shirts and jeans for my sister and me were 0 to none. And that's a shame. She did, though, find her jacket at 70% off.

This time I finally did, actually tried things on, and was surprised by how much worked. The store is light, bright, ultra feminine, and leans modest with soft fabrics and thoughtful details. It definitely skews younger, probably teens into early twenties, but that doesn't mean you can't find pieces that work if you know how to edit. I'm not typically a frilly girl, but I still found items that made me look fresher and more put together instead of older. It feels like a more approachable version of LoveShackFancy, without that moment where you look at the price tag and immediately put everything back. And that's refreshing. What's frustrating is how many department stores and women's brands seem to design for a much older customer. You walk in and everything feels like it's trying to age you before your time. Even brands like Veronica Beard, and sometimes Zimmermann, can add years instead of taking them away. Altar'd State does the opposite. The pieces feel light, easy, and uplifting. There's a sense of joy in the clothing that's hard to find right now. I want to bring my 82-year-old mother here so she can find clothing that adds joy to her life and doesn't age her.

I cruised around the store looking for something to catch my eye, but I knew that I was there to purchase a new bra. After Roxanne, finished a customer call, she asked me if I needed assistance. I let her know the size and brand that I have purchased and that I was totally clueless as to what my current was. She was so patient with me and I think I tried on at least 10 bras in the whole hour that I was in there. (I am so OCD, I clasped and hug every bra back on hangers) They did not have the size for the style that I wanted in house, but I was able to take a picture of the tag and order it online. Now I know my size and Wood style fits best for my current and ever-changing body shape.
