Visited Saturday and service was nonexistent. Staff would walk by several times with not even a acknowledge that a customer existed. We literally could not believe it. My daughter had multiple items and after feeling the complete disregard, placed her items down. Do better. read more

Unfortunately after I've mentioned repeatedly to management that it's ice cold when I walk in - that I have to seek for staff to take my collection of clothes to the fitting room. For the type of stand alone store -it does not meet the criteria of good customer service. I'd say without exception that I have not been greeted or asked if I could be helped once I'm in the dressing room. Instead I feel like a third wheel. On a rare occasion there is one staff who's glowing personality radiates over the rest, and saves the day those few times I ask myself why I'm going there. Otherwise the store gets an F for customer service. When are they going to fix this? Will they respond to the many complaints they are getting? read more

I can get decent work outfits at LOFT. But LOFT in Frederick, MD has terrible customer service; people working there don't seem to know they their job is to help customers in friendly manner, and that customers are reason for them having a job.. read more

Poor service...the two employees looked at me and said nothing. One in particular was just folding clothes when I walked in. She looked and me without saying a word and continued with her task. The cashier was with a customer, but when she was done, she too looked my way without acknowledgment. Good customer service makes a great shopping experience. This is a well stocked location. I wasn't greeted upon entering, and when I was greeted after I had been there for about 15min, it was to only be asked if I have a loft card, and try to get me to open one. No, thanks! That being said, I loved the selection of new styles, and the specials on jeans and sweaters. There were great dresses to choose from, and dressing rooms open and ready. The sales selection wasn't that great, with lots of items you really wouldn't want to buy. There is a lot of open empty space in the store, with the clothes pushed all up against the walls. So, it's a bit tight trying to look in some areas. Especially, when more than one person is trying to look at the exact same rack, because they're worried you've found some miraculous item they want too :) read more

I typically do not write negative reviews unless I've experienced the same behavior several times. I truly believe everybody has a bad day. I truly believe that forgiveness patience and flexibility is important. We're all human beings. So I feel very comfortable sharing this negative review in hopes that someone at some management level will read this and identify some absolute opportunities at this location. I live in Frederick I shop in Frederick and I am a large fan of the Loft and Black House White Market. If you know Frederick at all you know that they sit almost as Neighbors. I have attempted to go into the Loft on at least four occasions in the Frederick location. I am not with the same experience each time. No one treats me when I walk in the door no one speaks to me as I walk around the store. I find my own clothes I find my own dressing room period on so many occasions I have to choose another size because what I have on maybe too big or too small. I can never find anybody to help me. So what end up happening is I leave all of my clothes in the room and I'm in The Loft clothes with tags hanging off of me standing back into the main room searching for different sizes. I stand in line waiting to get checked out with at least two people standing at the registers. They may be helping somebody else but it is good customer service to identify that there's somebody standing there and maybe just remark hi I'll be right with you. Something that identifies them standing there. The problem is is the entire experience up until this point has made me feel completely invisible so by the time I actually get to the counter I am already feeling pretty bad. In today's world customer service is so important. I like the clothes at the loft. I would buy more at that store if it wasn't for the fact that I dread walking in there. It makes me feel as if I'm not good enough or in some way being judged. I'm a businesswoman I wear a size 6 I pay with cash I am what I would consider a perfect client for their organization. And yet I'm treated horribly every time. I many times will walk right past the Loft and go into Black House White Market for the experience alone. I give this location three stars because of the consistent LACK of customer service. The first time I walked into this location- four years ago - I was shocked by the absence of customer service. I've been to other locations where the associates are very attentive, but not this location. They will help you when asked but they disappear once they've helped you. As with all Lofts, I love the selection and that keeps me coming back. Would love for them to be more helpful and focused on the customer. read more

I am surprised to read these other somewhat harsh reviews, the Loft in Frederick is amazing. I am ALWAYS greeted (somethings multiple times) with a friendly hello when I first walk in and then if I need help finding anything after I have been walking around a few minutes. I get lucky at this Loft and walk in right as they are adding new merchandise and find the best selections. My size is always available and if they are having their fabulous 50% off EVERYTHING sale, you can bet I am taking full advantage. I have come to recognize the ladies who run the one here in Frederick, and sure if you do not have a Loft card, they will do a great job encouraging you to sign up for one, but they do not just stare at you and rudely ignore you. They are polite, friendly and doing their job professionally at all times. Don't let the other reviews fool you, this is a great place to shop, ladies! read more
