Lodge Bread serves good food. Good quality ingredients and fresh bread. We ordered sandwiches and enjoyed every bite. I got the tuna sandwich that tasted amazing. My son ordered the ham and cheese on a baguette and loved it. So far everything we have tried here over the years has been amazing. We also got a Jerusalem bagel to go for dinner later. Customer service is friendly and welcoming. A great place to have breakfast and lunch. Try them out. You won't be disappointed. Their croissant and pastries as amazing as well Lots of outdoor seating. Great ambiance.
Really good bread and super fresh! The young guys working in the front were really nice and friendly. The outdoor seating with the shade was also a nice touch. Everything was clean and the whole experience was great. Definitely worth checking out!
Swung by after a morning workout. Personally had an americano. Didn't end up trying a pastry even though a lot of folks were. There is some seating outside. Limited parking in the plaza.
Love the shakshuka! We were in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a quick bite last weekend, and I can now say we have a new spot to start the weekend right. It has a tiny interior, you order at the front, and there's a good sized outdoor seating area. Service is pretty fast as well. One of the best shakshukas we've ever had! Just so good. You really must treat yourself to a great brunch whenever possible. The chai latte and veggie sammy were also pretty good. Will definitely be back. One thing to note: I'd really like them to be more cautious with the toothpicks, as one still had its plastic wrapping and ended up inside the sandwich. If I hadn't noticed it, I probably would have eaten it.
I dont know about othet items on the menu but pastrami sandwich wasnt good - ended up costing $26 after tax, the meat was dry and salty, lack of cole slaw, bread was like a rock. The overall taste was good but everything else wasnt. The cafe is located in a quite cool looking area with trees and bushes. Service was fast. The place is pretty popular among locals so I might try to eat something else here
My breakfast sandwich was flavorful. The sesame brioche bread was so light and perfectly toasted. My over easy egg was overcooked but it worked out fine. My friend said it was the best sandwich she ever had. That was only 1 bite in. She loved the homemade jam and ricotta toast. She devoured it and the apologized for not offering a bite. I was so full from my sandwich I didn't notice. The sausage roll is a new item. Bread was flaky and perfectly crispy. Sausage had a kick! I tried a piece after I had my breakfast sandwich so I'll try the rest later. Not my fave. Cashier was super friendly and patient since it was our first time. Very helpful and understanding in explaining all the choices. It's pretty much a self serve restaurant. Asked for a refill and an additional cup of water and it took a minute. Asked for a to go box and never got it. There is no seating inside. Probably only 6 people max fit to wait in line inside. There's plenty of tables outside with large umbrellas. Lots of trees so there's debris on the table and chairs. Chairs are horribly uncomfortable metal chairs. Table legs are so narrow my knees didn't fit. The restaurant is in a crowded strip mall at the end. Parking could be difficult. Located in Woodland Hills so there's a small window that you can actually eat there. Summers are too hot and I can't imagine it's enjoyable in the rain.

Ordered: Country Loaf: 5/5 - Yeah so um was not expecting the loaf to be an absolute boheameth? For $11? Safe to say I demolished it. Good Bread. Blueberry Scone: 5/5 I was already eyeing the scone but im glad he reassured me to get it because holy cow, this was the best scone ive ever had. First off it was huge? Second my god..it was moist!! It's also sweeter than other scones probably due to the caramelization sugar on top but it doesn't make it textbook sweet. In fact, all together it doesn't really make it sweet its just unexpected at first but its a good balance overall. Actually obsessed with this. Cinnamon Coffee Cake: 5/5 I gave this to my friend but she loved it! Iced Dirty Chai: 4.8/5 5/5 alone for presentation they served this so fancy for just a togo order. This is what I'm talking about when I want a dirty chai. Good blend, good flavor, and just a little sweetener. Ambiance: 5/5 Granted its sunday but it was still pretty crackin for 9:45A. Its all outdoor seating but its nicely dispersed so you dont feel like its as crowded as it is. Mostly shaded too. Service: 5/5 I'm so sorry I forgot the gentleman who helped me but I was indecisive and he gave me the coffee cake for free! And reccomended the scone You're a real one fam! So glad this place still hits the same all these years later.
This spot is an upper scale bakery in Woodland Hills that bakes some of the best croissants in LA. They make croissants out of sourdough and they are nothing short of amazing. A perfect combo of savory and sweet notes, with incredible texture of perfectly crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The bakery offers multiple croissant options, but I prefer mine plain, so I can really savor the flavor of their amazing sourdough. I also order their hot latte to complement my croissant and head straight to their tree covered patio to enjoy my food. The service here is great, the space carries positive aura and the tree-covered patio with around 10 tables is awesome. Will definitely come again!
Lodge bread has so many different options to choose from and you know whatever you choose will have the highest quality ingredients! The parking lot can be a bit tricky depending on the day and time. You order at the register and then they bring it to you. There is no seating indoors but plenty of seating outside. While I love it, I feel like the price is a bit too steep with the 4% charge to support the employees. I think it is great and very important to support their employee's wellbeing but it should be the company doing that already. Their prices are steep as it is so it should be built in to that. Tip- stop at blue bottle next door before to get a great coffee or matcha to go with your meal! But, Lodge Bread has a really good vanilla latte!
I've been going to lodge bread for over 5 years this places is definitely one of my top picks for an amazing sandwich or even just a loaf. The service here is quick lines go by fast and you'll always find a table even during Sunday brunch hours. Even from opening this places has a line of people ready for their fix. I love everything about lodge bread the seating outside is nice and shaded by the trees and umbrellas. I HIGHLY recommend any of the sandwiches I haven't had a bad one to date way different from what they had 5 year ago. If you haven't been here in a couple years it's definitely changed for the better and it was already a 10/10 My partner loves the mint lemonade perfect tartness not too sweet! We ordered a couple of their sandwiches--the pastrami was good not great and the egg bacon sandwich was tasty. The bread for the egg and bacon sandwich was fluffy and tender but the bread for the pastrami was not as enjoyable. The environment is nice on the patio. As for some details, this plaza is run by metropolis parking so don't forget to scan the QR code. Lodge is in the back of the area and they have outdoor dining--the sandwiches took a bit of time to come out but nothing excessive. I will say that the tables are very small. Pictured you can see one of my legs fits comfortably where two legs are meant to be. Of course I have large legs but I am saddened by the continual move to uncomfortable small chairs that dig into your glutes, hips, and thighs. I know it helps restaurants turn the tables over quicker but just uncomfortable. We got water from the container and it tasted like straight up fabuloso, LOL. When we asked about it they clearly were deflecting and saying something vague. A cute vibe with potential but I don't think they have executed with the sandwiches and some logistical components.

Located inside the Valley Market off Ventura Blvd, this is 1 of the 4 Lodge Bread Café locations in the LA area. It's a few doors down from Blue Bottle and offers a quaint outdoor seating area to drink in the sun's Vitamin D rays beneath the patio umbrellas. You might've seen their mobile bakery food truck by farmers markets in Torrance and Mar Vista or around Culver City with their signature, artisanal loaves, pastries, and giant cinnamon rolls. After all, they're known for their daily, freshly-baked breads like the Seeded Grain, Country Sourdough (it's naturally-leavened), Jerusalem Bagel loaf, crusty Baguettes, and a Brioche Challah that's specially baked on Fridays. You can find a variety of deli favorites, avocado toast, salads, and shakshuka on their menu. At its core, Lodge is a fusion of classic bakery goods meets Middle Eastern heritage. Everything is baked in their intimate kitchen and the staff is super nice & helpful. Of course, it's me so I deliberated between the shakshuka or a bread-y deliciousness long enough to have my friend just choose for me. She chose wisely! The Veggie Sammie was chock full of yum, wholesome goodness, and nature's vitamins to soothe my achy-broken arm. With gratitude, I indulged in their freshly-baked seeded-grain piled high with avocado, sprouts cucumbers, tomato, lettuce & shmeared with a zesty pepper aioli + a pickle on the side. It hit the spot, despite me not being hungry. Our order was #86 and it was a gentle reminder that thankfully, I only broke my arm, and not my neck. Welcome to Lodge Bread - Woodland Hills Located at the Valley Country Market shopping plaza with other great gems. Lodge Bread has shared outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi and solid service. They seem quite busy in the am, for the morning patrons and early risers. An abundance of bread, cafe style options, ready to go bites and delights as well as beverages. The aromas are amazing and they definitely have a great flow, though they did forget my cold brew order for some odd reason, they usually never miss a beat. Team Vegan Caesar Salad! And team Fresh Veggie Sammie! They have a variety of baked things, salad stuff, sides, sammies (sandwiches), toasts (including avocado) and breakfast meets lunch style items. It's a full crew at the lodge from 8am til 4pm daily. Definitely on the moderate side of coast, though being a small biz and one of only three locations in Greater Los Angeles, they definitely make the effort for quality as well as quantity. And I do love supporting small as well as Veteran-owned gems like this. A lot of the bread is dairy and egg free, which I'm all for - especially their Ancient Grain Loaf, Sprouted Rye, Focaccia and Olive Loafs. Parking is lot with up to 2 hour validation with QR code scan in and out at the business you visit. Street parking also available along Ventura Blvd/De Soto Ave where Lodge Bread resides. Dog friendly outside. Restrooms available. Very accessible. And open to all. read more

FANTASTIC! I have come here so many times, it might even be my third space. It's casual, yet cute and so delectable. Nothing here feels greasy or fast, all the food feels very intentional and made with love. Some of my favorites: egg salad sandwich, tuna sandwich, breakfast sandwich, pastrami sandwich. Yes I do realize they are all sandwiches and that it's like half the menu, point is you can't go wrong. I will only say that I wish their orange juice was fresh squeezed. But it's fine! Nothing beats yapping over brunch/lunch here and then strolling the center's shops. Also love the staff, always so kind xx read more

I literally found this place randomly because I just wanted a sandwich for lunch... and I'm so glad I did The focaccia bread was SO soft and fresh, like actually perfect. A little crispy on the outside but super fluffy inside. And everything in the sandwich just went so well together, nothing was too much, nothing was missing. Just really good, fresh ingredients that all paired perfectly. It's one of those sandwiches that looks simple but tastes sooo good. Service was so fast and friendly! Ambiance is nice, it's mainly outdoor seating but they have umbrellas to block the sun on a hot day! Definitely coming back, this was such a good random find. read more

Our friend recommended this place. We've been going to Blue Bottle Coffee next door and never noticed Lodge Bread. We ordered their sandwiches and some pastries which were all great. Nice place to chill, hang with friends and have good food. Lots of seating available outside. Parking does have a fee. $7 for less than an hour is crazy, but that's not their fault. read more

The Woodland Hills location might just be my favorite Lodge Bread spot. It's located in the Valley Country Market and has great outdoor seating options. The appeal of this one is you can easily stroll some of the other vendors after chowing down. If you've never tried Lodge Bread, their bread is top notch. I mean I'd hope with a name mentioning "Bread". Our favorites are the pastrami sandwich (one of the best in my humble opinion) and the Cobb salad. It photographs so beautifully that you'll be reluctant to eat it! Tip: Don't forget to validate using the QR code or they'll send a parking fine to you in the mail. read more

My usual go-to at Lodge is the ricotta and seasonal jam toast, but today I was craving a runny egg and the guy at the register recommended the avocado toast with a runny egg on top. It did not disappoint! The radish added some nice crunch, and the olive oil and lemon juice added great flavor, and of course the runny egg was the perfect umami on top. I also got a mocha latte with almond milk, which came with a lovely milk pattern on top, and it was really nice to sit outside in the shade and just relax while enjoying this delicious breakfast. read more

When I saw Lodge Bread on Yelp and everything looked so appealing, I just had to visit. My friend and I arrived around 10:15am. The place itself is aesthetically appealing. It is located in the center next to Blue Bottle Coffee. Because we had never been there before, we were looking at the menu and admiring the loaves of bread on display. The employees were very serious and did not acknowledge us. When we stood at the counter to order, there was however, a young man who smiled at us and asked what we wanted. I ordered the Matcha Latte and my friend ordered the Vanilla Latte. We sat outside on the patio at our table- (which was actually two tables next to one another, put together with 4 chairs) and waited for our drinks. Now here is the reason for only 3 stars: The server approached our table with our drinks and went out of his way to place them on the opposite side, rather than directly in front of us. He neither made eye contact nor acknowledged us verbally, and subsequently walked away. This behavior is quite unusual in food service. The beverages were satisfactory and we initially wanted to order a loaf of bread to go but decided not to after the way our drinks were delivered. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service detracts from what could have been an exceptional experience. read more

I've seen this place a couple times when I was in the plaza. I was curious and decided to look on their website. I had no idea they did sandwiches. I went for the first time and ordered the Salame Rosa. This may of been one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The bread was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I'm so curious if they make this bread in loafs? I sat outside and ate / they have a bunch of tables and it really was a wonderful experience. I did try the vegas Caesar salad, wasn't my fav, but still good. I have been here twice now. Each time I have bought a few items. Blueberry Scones 10/10, Cardamom Knots 7/10, Banana Bread 6/10, Chocolate Croissants 9/10, Almond Croissants 9/10 and Chocolate Chip Cookies - 1st time 10/10, 2nd time a friend found a spring in one while eating it... Upon calling the Woodland Hills location we purchased everything from they informed us that they could not assist us because they do not bake the cookies at that location.... Why where they are made matters when it comes to helping us I don't know. Tried calling the number they gave us and no answer... read more

Is there indoor seating?
If this is the one on Ventura Blvd, NO. All of the plentiful seating is outside. The Ventura location is small and just enough for the kitchen and staff (with a line to take orders).
How much does a loaf of sourdough cost and is it available daily?
They have amazing breads, I have not had the sourdough u can call them.
Is it open now for indoor seating?
I was there yesterday and they still did not have any sitting.. I do not understand as they have plenty of space outside to put tables.

Where are you located?
They are located in the Valley Country Mart. There is a lot of cute little shops and the Lodge Bread is on the right corner that is the furthest from the entrance to the Valley Country Mart parking lot.
