Sin-a-roll
Corey C.

The location is so cute, the friendly local set up and staff is everything you need on a Sunday morning and the line up of treats are STUNNING. So many delicious options to choose from but get there early or your favorite may already be gone, you snooze you lose.

Tomato tart

Went back two weeks in a row. Yup. Still amazing!!! The menu changes but the deliciousness remains. The spinach and marzipan cruffin smelled so good and was a buttery, savory, scrumptious treat! The vanilla cinnamon bun didn't skimp on cinnamon goodness and is unusual because it's made with the hearty dough. The potato tart with salad was so delicious too. The salad dressing is magical - light, flavorful and surprisingly tasty.

I love this bakery. I adore the owners. They are great people. The bread and pastries are baked fresh daily and super yummy. I had one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I'll be back again and again!

Excellent artisanal bakery. Highly recommended. You may want to call or e-mail first to confirm your order.

Delicious macarons! The Reese's one has a great peanut butter flavor and it isn't too sweet! Perfection!

Located inside the Valley Market off Ventura Blvd, this is 1 of the 4 Lodge Bread Café locations in…read morethe LA area. It's a few doors down from Blue Bottle and offers a quaint outdoor seating area to drink in the sun's Vitamin D rays beneath the patio umbrellas. You might've seen their mobile bakery food truck by farmers markets in Torrance and Mar Vista or around Culver City with their signature, artisanal loaves, pastries, and giant cinnamon rolls. After all, they're known for their daily, freshly-baked breads like the Seeded Grain, Country Sourdough (it's naturally-leavened), Jerusalem Bagel loaf, crusty Baguettes, and a Brioche Challah that's specially baked on Fridays. You can find a variety of deli favorites, avocado toast, salads, and shakshuka on their menu. At its core, Lodge is a fusion of classic bakery goods meets Middle Eastern heritage. Everything is baked in their intimate kitchen and the staff is super nice & helpful. Of course, it's me so I deliberated between the shakshuka or a bread-y deliciousness long enough to have my friend just choose for me. She chose wisely! The Veggie Sammie was chock full of yum, wholesome goodness, and nature's vitamins to soothe my achy-broken arm. With gratitude, I indulged in their freshly-baked seeded-grain piled high with avocado, sprouts cucumbers, tomato, lettuce & shmeared with a zesty pepper aioli + a pickle on the side. It hit the spot, despite me not being hungry. Our order was #86 and it was a gentle reminder that thankfully, I only broke my arm, and not my neck. So I can return next time to enjoy their shakshuka--or avocado toast.

This was my second time visiting this brand, but a different location. My first experience (in…read moreEncino) wasn't great, which is why I decided to give it another try at the Woodland Hills location. This visit was definitely better. The coffee was good -- I'd say around a 4 out of 5 -- and the pastries were fresh and . The overall atmosphere was pleasant and felt more inviting. That said, there are still a few areas for improvement. The space is a bit limited, and there aren't many outdoor seating options, which would be nice given the location. The interior could also use some updates, as parts of it feel a bit worn. Overall, this location left a much better impression. It's a nice spot for coffee and a quick bite, and I'm glad I gave the brand another chance.

I've tried their matcha, as well as their pumpkin crumble iced latte, multiple times. Every time I've tried their drinks, I felt like they've been good, but nothing crazy or worth raving about. The pricing on the pastries and food isn't amazing, but seems to have pretty normal pricing when it comes to the drinks. Cons: On multiple occasions, the workers behind the counter have messed up my drink. Whether it's asking for almond milk or a certain size, it seems to be really difficult for any of the workers there to do it correctly on the first try. Additionally, they also sell cakes that could be used for birthdays, anniversaries, and more, which means that it's important to have good customer service, especially for those big events. Furthermore, every time I've come, it seems like there's only one to two workers working at a time within the whole store, managing any outside seating, inside seating, cleaning, and cashiering. Although their pastries and breads are pretty good, I had to learn the hard and hungry way that all of their sandwiches automatically include mustard and or mayonnaise on them. None of the sandwiches come with condiments on the side, and all of them are already premade ahead of time, which is really annoying. Even if you eat the added condiments, they've been sitting out all day. Without their pastries, I honestly wouldn't be coming, but because there's no Porto's in Woodland Hills, Paris Baguette is the next chain that's close that caters towards that type of food.

Betty makes the most scrumptious baked goods for a reasonable price, beautifully packaged and delivered for free. Betty is creative and dynamic, always working to create new festive, and seasonal treats. I have ordered from Betty several times and have only been exceptionally pleased. The round cakes were scrumptious and beautiful but I am most excited about the incredible gluten free lemon meringue pie she created and delivered to my home. The pie could not have looked more beautiful with elegant stiff peaks of sweet meringue. But the lemon filling and the gluten free crust were absolutely to-die-for. It was such an unexpected treat. Generally gluten free baked goods can be hit or miss, but Betty's was an out-of-the-ballpark hit! Betty is a Palisades local, committed to our community, an active member of the Pacific Palisades Malibu Chamber of Commerce and always the first to step in to give to charitable cause or support our kids and our schools. She is warm and generous, a committed dog rescuer and just an all around lovely person. I am thrilled to be your neighbor Betty Moran and pleased to continue to order from you again and again.
