    Breakfast Burrito

Quaint little cafe tucked in the Topanga Canyon hills. The croissants were light & flaky and the breakfast burrito was filled with tator tots and bacon wrapped with a lightly crisp tortilla. The service was pretty fast considering there was line and 2 people behind the counter. Would definitely stop here again!

Don't spend your money here. The lady at the front is so rude, we came 10 minutes prior to closing. While she makes coffee she said : " that was our last call " I have tried to explain her that we drove 20 minutes and we just want coffee. She was rude and gave a really bad attitude. Don't come here !!

Cute little stop over to grab a tea or coffee. They have many specialty teas you can choose from along with some small wares to browse. Lovely little shared patio area with water feature off to the side of the store and a nice front space to sit outside and some indoor seating as well. WiFi is available if you need to get some work done too. The service was very friendly and the girl at the counter was very sweet in walking me though the drink options and ways they could be customized to preference. I got the Bhakti chai with oat milk which is an actual steeped tea spiced with ginger and sweetened with honey and very good. If you're looking for a more traditional tasting chai I'd recommend it. The others looked like they had interesting flavor combinations like mandarin and rose, but some are a sweetened powder so be mindful if you don't like things as sweet. They also had some specialty mushroom lattes (loin's mane and rishi I believe) to choose from as well. There are some pastries (gf options available) that looked just okay, I didn't try any though. There are also some hot breakfast and Cole salad/sandwich options as well. If you're looking for a quick stop over as you're driving through the canyon, it's a good place to grab a fast bite and be on your way.

My go to spot tucked in Topanga Canyon. Really nice community atmosphere here. Strangers always smile to me. A bunch of signs about events taking place nearby. Coffee is really yummy and they have a really nice selection of pastries. Their burrito is delicious too.

Cafe Mimosa is a cute Topanga Canyon cafe with excellent coffees, teas, smoothies, baked goods, and food menu. The overall vibe is easy breezy creative canyon casual. While I was there, a few folks popped in to pick up a drink and bite to go, a couple of people in full bicycle rider gear/helmets took a break with drinks outside, a small group of local teenagers sat out front chatting with their drinks and food, and a long-bearded gentleman sat at the front window engrossed in a book. Love the cute modern shabby chic ambience. There's some seating outside in front in the form of a few sets of two-top patio tables and assortment of chairs mostly in the shade, which can be maneuvered around as needed. In the back/side area outside is a small sort of courtyard with a bench and another little sitting area. Inside the cafe itself is very clean, spacious, and well-lit with good seating and a couple of bar seats by the front window. Their specialty is coffee/tea, for which they have a huge menu/variety of options, including unique teas and chais you don't see anywhere else, all the types of coffee drinks from flat whites to cortados, and just about every kind of milk (whole, half and half, oat, soy, coconut, sweetened/unsweetened almond). I had a coconut cream chai that was heavenly. They also have a few specials that they switch up. Their food items are exceptional. Aside from fresh baked pastries including gluten free options, they offer an excellent breakfast burrito (one of their most popular items that they sometimes sell out of), quiche, sandwiches/wraps, salads, vegan chili, avocado toast, and bagels with all the trimmings available. A standout item to me however is their "Mimosa Bun," which is an indulgent brioche bun with a kale pesto spread and melted Swiss cheese, topped with egg, tomato, and perfect avocado, served open face. The ingredients are in perfect proportion and their flavors really work together exceptionally well and are amazingly delicious in unison. This is an absolute winner of a dish and can be quite filling, so I recommend splitting it with a friend, or just eating half now and half later. It is really so so good. There's limited parking on the busy street, so be careful and courteous. I love this perfect little Topanga Canyon cafe and highly recommend it!

Stopped by for a quick afternoon pick me up and was very pleasantly surprised by this quaint coffee shop. Those working were fast and friendly and I loved the homey feel of the business. If you're in need of a coffee break, Cafe Mimosa is the place to go while visiting Topanga Canyon!

This place was so cute and calm. The staff were so friendly and nice! It was my first time so I did opt fr a safe drink option and was pleasantly surprised, it honestly wasn't the best vanilla latte I had but I didn't find it to taste bad and was able to drink it! I'm usually very strict with my vanilla lattes and tend to not drink it at all if I find it nasty. But this place to my surprise wasn't half bad. I do wish they were able to warm up my pastry I ordered, that's pretty much the only reason this place is receiving 4/5 stars for me.

I think this place is more about the experience and location than the actual food or coffee. It's located off Topanga Canyon, if you're outside for a cruise on an early weekend morning it's definitely a good place to stop by for a break. It's a cozy little cafe off the road, that had a small selection of food, and drinks to offer. Don't let the name fool you however, they don't serve any Mimosas or alcoholic beverages! We ordered a few things including the quiche, tater tot burrito and some coffees. The food tasted quite bland and you could tell it was reheated and/or previously frozen. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the home cafe taste that I expected. The food however was prepared fairly quickly and the servers who were also the cooks were quite friendly and nice. Definitely stop by for the experience as this is a cute little cafe in the middle of some of LA's best driving roads, but just don't expect the food to knock you off your socks.

This cute Cafe is nestled in the hills of Topenga. We stopped in for a quick beverage and some food. The ambiance is nice. There is a bit of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was very friendly. We didn't love the food items though. The breakfast buritto tasted like it wad powdered eggs and it was runny. The bacon quiche was extremely bland. We did have a church croissant that was scrumptious.

Great little spot in Topanga. Food is delicious especially the almond croissants and the breakfast burritos. Staff can vary on friendliness, went two days in a row and some are nicer than others. But overall great spot!

I now know definitively where to find it. They've also added the most incredible soft serve ice cream to their offerings. I also spotted that they now serve prosciutto which I was unaware of in the past and they have what appeared to be some delicious looking Caesar salads premade for about $15. I'm currently completely addicted to this amazing peanut nougat chocolate that they have. It's $5.50 a pop so as my original review states this place is Not exactly the $.99 cent only store but it's amazing selection of goods shows the purveyors attention to selection. They're keen on what they bring into the store and it shows. I've had a few bottles of wine from here. They were all yummy. I've yet to try any of their cheese, but it looks fantastic. As I go, I spend more and more time cruising what they have- they always have fine looking produce and I know occasionally they carry chanterelles. I do hope to scoop up some of those on a future visit (in season only of course). It does seem they really honor the seasonal pallet of things and from what I can tell most of their produce is local. They've also added a really lovely outdoor patio. All in all I'm very grateful this place in the canyon. They've saved me on a number of occasions when no dinner recipes came quickly to mind or when a soup hankering struck!

It's a few doors down from Blue Bottle and offers a quaint outdoor seating area to drink in the sun's Vitamin D rays beneath the patio umbrellas. You might've seen their mobile bakery food truck by farmers markets in Torrance and Mar Vista or around Culver City with their signature, artisanal loaves, pastries, and giant cinnamon rolls. After all, they're known for their daily, freshly-baked breads like the Seeded Grain, Country Sourdough (it's naturally-leavened), Jerusalem Bagel loaf, crusty Baguettes, and a Brioche Challah that's specially baked on Fridays. You can find a variety of deli favorites, avocado toast, salads, and shakshuka on their menu. At its core, Lodge is a fusion of classic bakery goods meets Middle Eastern heritage. Everything is baked in their intimate kitchen and the staff is super nice & helpful. Of course, it's me so I deliberated between the shakshuka or a bread-y deliciousness long enough to have my friend just choose for me. She chose wisely! The Veggie Sammie was chock full of yum, wholesome goodness, and nature's vitamins to soothe my achy-broken arm. With gratitude, I indulged in their freshly-baked seeded-grain piled high with avocado, sprouts cucumbers, tomato, lettuce & shmeared with a zesty pepper aioli + a pickle on the side. It hit the spot, despite me not being hungry. Our order was #86 and it was a gentle reminder that thankfully, I only broke my arm, and not my neck. As you drive on, to a progressive higher altitude, the fresh air, the greenery, the view below, engulfs your senses. What a beautiful ride, till you arrive at TLC. I was there on a weekday (by design), to avoid the crowds and because parking is very limited, if you wish to be close to the establishment. Walking in, there is a small space of an ordering counter (with a display of some foods), some on the menu, some not. A few merch racks and some indoor tables. You can also sit outside, under umbrellas, for a more airy feel. Many come here for the tranquility, several of them with their laptops. While I was aware before arriving what the limited menu entailed, I was attracted, amongst other selections, by the optics of the Tomato Frittata and Cucumber Salad, in the food case. And that is what I ordered. Since the Frittata comes with a house salad, it was a reasonable $2 extra to substitute for the cucumber salad. The Tomato Frittata was warmed up and served to my outside table. It was fluffy, fresh, having distinct texture and tongue slide, to highlight the tastes of egg, cheese and tomato. Nice ingredient arrangement all around. Same for the cucumber salad. What I liked here was no overdose of citrus (as you so often taste in other places). A harmonious balance of simple nature ingredients, that take care of the flavor, and take you to a place to remember. The cucumber was well diced, colorful, bold, crunchy and nourishing, with every bite. Overall, a satisfying experience, and an impressive weekday brunch visit for me, in the stunning and magnetic hilltops of Topanga.
