How is this adorable place not better known about? First off, parking is super easy. It's off sight though- sort of- so be prepared to turn around. You get to park by the little cow barn and say hello on your walk or shuttle to the market. Once there, you have a perfect sized yard to eat, drink, shop, and spend way too much on delicious desserts. They are constantly cleaning up and you never have trash and dirty plates left on your table. We will absolutely be back. read more

My friend had been wanting to try this place so we decided to go Saturday morning. We were there around 9am. Now this is a huge place, located inside Calamigos Ranch and most places inside you have to be staying there in order to go. Luckily the market is not like that. But due to a wedding we had to park on the dirt road to the side. It was about a 5min walk to the market with no visible signs directing the way. I really liked the atmosphere though and there were cows along the way! We finally got there and the place was cute. Lots of seating outside with shaded areas. Inside they offer a lot of different options. We were early so there was no pizza but lots of pastries, salads, quiche and coffee drinks. I opted for a breakfast burrito which had cheese, eggs, bacon and tater tots inside. My husband got a chocolate croissant and a bagel stuffed with cream cheese. I got their specialty matcha while my husband got a cappuccino. We paid a little over $50. Now I don't mind paying a lot for food, but the taste better be worth it. This unfortunately was not. The burrito and cappuccino were just ok, 3/5 for both. The matcha and bagel were good, I would get those again, but again not worth the price. Service was great, no complaints there. We came to Gentry Market for dinner during their summer jazz night series which was so fun! It's the most beautiful setting out in the mountains during sunset and the jazz duo even had one guy who could tap dance which was a fun surprise. I got the margherita pizza on gluten free crust and the lavender lemonade and my fiance got the Bianca pizza and added mushrooms. The lavender lemonade was amazing, but I've definitely had far better gluten free pizza crust, especially for less than a $5 upcharge, however we did come here more for the ambiance and experience. My fiance said adding the mushrooms to his pizza was the best part, everything was good overall. The ordering was fairly easy too. read more

Came here with my husband and son after a nearby hike to have lunch. We didn't have reservations cause on their website said no need for reservation and open to public. So we came. The attendant in the front of the property told us that from now on we would need to have reservations to get in. So if you are planning to go make a reservation on Resy. We parked and walked over where we checked in again with a hostess and finally were able to order food and drinks. On Saturdays and Sundays they have wood fired pizzas that are super delicious. We ordered two and loved both. The market has salads, charcuterie board and some sandwiches. Freshly baked goods such as croissants, muffins, cookies and more. Also a variety of coffee drinks and match. Outdoors there was a full bar making drinks of choice. No set menu or anything. Prices are on the higher side. Such a beautiful drive to this amazing property! As you walk in you see all the bakery items for sale. They have coffees to order and boxed salads and wraps. I was warmly greeted and ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and a ginger beer. My son had the bbq wrap that had a small side salad. He also ordered a latte and we split an everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was so delicious, with a hint of jalapeño. My salad had shredded chicken, oranges, snow peas, cashews, and Napa cabbage. It came with a nice dressing. The property is gorgeous and there's two ponies near the waterfall as you enter. Plenty of outdoor seating and even a pizza oven. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

What a pleasant surprise! I came to Calimigos Ranch to get a coffee from the Saloon to find it's now Gentry market. I was helped by Trinity who was so helpful. I ordered a caramel latte, you can tell they use quality coffee, and a pistachio pastry that had pistachio filling YUM! Sipping my latte and eating my pastry in this cute shop with the fireplace was so Serene. If you want to just have a lovely latte in a lovely place check them out. read more

Came on Mother's Day with my family. We had a reservation and to seated right away. The ambience and the grounds are beautiful. Beware that are a lot of children running around (the other reviews are not lying), that wasn't an issue for us though, that's part of the reason why we chose to eat here. I guess this is my fault for not fully doing my due diligence but I didn't realize the wood fire pizzas which are good but pricey are the only things made fresh. Everything else is premade and/or kept in the fridge, just grab and go. The service is horrible. Somehow it seemed like everyone's first day on the known most busiest restaurant day of the year??? It was truly perplexing. We went to the bar to order pizza and drinks. I asked the bartender what one of the ingredients was that they had listed underneath the drink. After blank staring at me for 3 seconds he finally said something to the effect of I honestly don't know I've never had to make that before. Which I respect his honestly but also I literally asked about something they have on their drink menu. We went to the café to look at some of the pastries. We asked a few questions on what some of the items were, again, got very vague general answers. When I asked if the cashier had tried one of the pastries, again, he was honest and said no but they were popular. So I made a decision based off that and chose which one I wanted. He replied with "yeah, those are really good." But a second ago he had just told me that he's never tried them before. That was weird. Maybe an autopilot response? But weird. He flat out lied. Ordered an iced tea from the cafe, I go over to look for sugars, I only see the pink sweet and low packages. So then I proceeded to ask the cashier if they have sugar he starts opening a bunch of cupboards and then tells me he doesn't see any sugar. How does a cafe that serves coffee and tea as a staple not have regular sugar??? This was also incredibly odd to me. Lastly, our buzzer finally buzzed to pick up our pizzas. We're standing there waiting and the pizza handler didnt acknowledge us. Just proceeds to have a three minute personal conversation with a patron. It was very clearly they were friends because they were discussing hanging out after he gets off of work. So we just stood there as we waiting for confirmation those indeed were our pizzas. We ordered 4 total. Only three were ready upon the initial buzzer and were told to come back in a few minutes for the fourth. came back a short while later and again he's having a personal conversation, just totally disregarding and ignoring us before finally acknowledging us and giving us her pizza. For such a high caliber place and the busiest day of the year for a restaurant, probably outside of Valentine's Day this service was atrocious and unacceptable. read more

Had to wait a while to be seated despite being a reservations only restaurant and lines to order were slow. Lots of children running around. I hate leaving bad reviews but honestly I couldn't help myself today. We had a 2:00 reservation, the hostess told us when we checked in "hey we're having some issues please wait by the table", 20 minutes later after a few more parties arrived she took a random party who just showed up and sat them. Then I realized no one who worked there had any clue what was happening with reservations. The waitstaff though sweet, were all completely ameteurs with no leadership. All the staff seemed lost. If this was a brand new restaurant it would make sense, but it's been here for 6 months already. Regardless, unless you have a dog or a baby, don't bother coming. Service was awful, and the beautiful location has been taken over by dogs and toddlers. Total disappointment. read more

The bad (and it's pretty bad ) : This is the second time we've been here in last few months and the sheer number of young children running around is out of control . Blitzed out moms on mimosas and detached dads completely oblivious to the mayhem their offspring are creating is not only troubling but off putting. You know how chickfila tastes good because it's so full of hate? That's the first sign that gentry market pizzas were gonna be pretty decent. Had a reservation for 3 at 4:30. Was told the wait would be over 40 minutes. The person checking in in front of me had a reservation for 2 at 5:00. He was seated immediately. The person behind me was also a party of 3 checking in at 4:30. They were told they'd be seated in a few minutes. There were no differences in our parties except that I'm Indian. Ambiance was good, staff were nice, food was decent. The only issue was the reservation/walk-in system. At such a nice resort/winery I expect them to have a more organized and smooth process when it comes to this. A large party came before us not sure if they had reservations or not, but they kept requesting more room for their party, no problem. My party came as a walk in, and we do not mind waiting at all if there is no room. Staff seemed a bit frazzled that multiple parties came at once with and without reservations. Nonetheless they were somehow fast to find space although I think they just didn't want to deal with a huge rush. Once we got seated by staff and got our food, everything was great. Until that one large party comes up to us asking if we had a reservation, and that their large party reserved the table first. First of all, ruined the experience if people think they're this entitled to want to kick others out for their benefit. Second, staff should communicate to each party which section is reserved or not, and if there needs to be a wait for more space that is okay all it takes is communication. Don't know if we will return after this unless the seating arrangements get better read more

Husband and I went for late casual dinner. Only few pizzas to choose from. The pizzas were great. There's a small bar off to the side with good looking drinks. The place is really great EXCEPT for the insane amount of kids. It's like a daycare playground with the adults in the area but no one is watching them. It definitely ruins all that is good about this place because you can't enjoy yourself. Especially when all the kids are running and screaming. For that reason we probably will not return. read more
