My daughter locked her keys in her car. She called and I came out to where she was to help. Looked up services and called these folks. I asked how much a service call would be on her older Kia model, it uses a key to start it and a fob to unlock it. They said $20 service fee to come out, (ok gotta pay for yr gas), $45 base and could go up from there depending on what has to be done. Mind you I passed over $75 flat rate fee and $130 flat rate fee. They said 25 mins., 25 mins he was there. So far so good...Guy came with a PB CUFF (yep a flat blood pressure cuff SLID IT in the door frame near the top corner. Pumped it up enough to slid in a stiff strong "L" shape wire. Whole thing took 2 mins and 23 seconds , actually less, I was just amazed how easy and quick it was and lost track of time....!! Now forgive me, but here's the part that's a rip off, $160.00!!!! I'm sorry but THAT was the rate they should've quoted on the phone!!! This was not a Smart Car and Slim Jim's do not work on newer cars. There was NO special circumstances no fob starter or issues so they purposely led us to believe it would be reasonable on a 2008 Kia...that's ridiculous!!! Buy yrself a BP Cuff and a thick metal rod w/a 2" bend at the tip and start making money! I would've been fine w/even $125 but $160??!!! NO...that's not right!! I'm all for paying an honest wage but that's nuts!! So going with this line of pricing, a car with a Smart Fob would cost upwards of $250......I'm now seriously considering opening my own Locksmith business but with upfront realistic quotes based on your car & year. Also the name on the receipt is NOT the name they go by....wonder why... Locksmith Gurus or 24/7 Mobil Locksmith, either way buyer beware. Ask for the REAL pricing based on yr car!! read more

Finally. A website that will display honest reveiws rather than 100s of BOT generated 5 star reviews. This company operates using very deceptive and ultra expensive business practices. Hourly rate for standard change out of 4 house entry doors was the equivalent of $1,000 per hour!!!!!! No parts were involved. 100% labor! Would not give upfront quote of total cost of jop!! That should have been my first warning. No physical address on invoice!! No business name on invoice!! They are true masters at gaming the system with their unbelievable number of BOT 5 star reviews. Reported to BBB and FTC and Attorney General. Will continue reporting to any other additional agencies I can think of. Avoid like a plague! Our dog was locked in a room with the lock broken. We called this company and they quoted us 25 dollars service fee and $45 to break the lock. When their locksmith arrived, he said their fee was $199 for breaking the lock which took 30 seconds! When asked about the quote, he said that was just the minimum! Horrible service! I called them to change 2 commercial locks. I scheduled ahead of time & they were a couple hours late. I am now worse off then I was before! One lock fell apart; screws fell out after 2 days & the handle is loose. Another handle lock worked previously and now does not work at all. I recommend finding another locksmith! read more

Would have been 5 stars if the dispatch lady would have been honest about the price. She said and I quote "it's $29 for the service call and $35 for labor, and maybe a little more depending on the method they have to use to open it" maybe a little more... it was $120 more. They used the most basic method to open it. She also couldn't estimate time well because she said 20 minutes and it took an hour. BE HONEST ABOUT THE PRICE. I ordered a locksmith through Diamondback Locksmith. They ended up sending me these guys. The prices Diamondback quoted me were much different then the price Locksmith Guru charged. They initially charged me $180 for a door that took 2 min to open. I was not told ahead of time what the price would be. They said the price depends on how complex the lock was... Initially Diamondback estimates it would be around $80. Long story short, I ended up reaching out to their management for what I believed was an excessive charge. After several weeks they credited me back almost half back, which I think was fair and an appropriate way to handle it. Giving a much higher review than normal due to managements willingness to make it right. read more

I was quoted "about $45" to unlock my car. After it took the guy 25 minutes longer than estimated to finally arrive, I was charged $180 for the most simple way to unlock a car. $29 for the service call and $35 for labor - understandable. But then another $120 charge to actually unlock the car?! And not only was I delayed and overpriced, I advised the man I was in a rush and had to be somewhere and he would not stop talking to me. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. Use pop-a-lock instead, they may take longer to be there be at least they won't try to rip you off. read more

So I got locked out of my house tonight. This company is very very expensive!!! After my initial call I waited 15 mins for the guy to call me. Then I waited an hour for the guy to show up! I was charged $29 for the service call. No biggie right? Well the service guy shows up & tells me what he will do to try to unlock my door. On top of the $29 there was a $95 labor charge & $180 to pick the door My total was $304!!!! That is a complete joke!!! I now made sure I gave a set of my house keys to my best friend/realtor now. I am especially surprised at the level of customer service we experienced directly from Gaby and Luna. Gaby is the customer service representative I spoke with and although it was a Sunday night, she was super kind, patient and helpful in assisting us with connecting with one of the company's mobile locksmiths who would be able to come to our house. Luna is the locksmith who came to our rescue and on top of that she arrived in a very timely manner. Like Gaby, Luna was also very kind and extremely time efficient as it hardly took any time for her to not only open the door to our SUV, but additionally make us a spare smart key (programmed and all) as well. Her friendly demeanor to top it off, just made the whole process feel less stressful overall. Thank you Gaby and Luna!Hopefully we don't experience a lockout situation again haha but if we ever should, we would choose to do business with Locksmith Guru again and would definitely recommend you guys to any family members or friends in need too! =) read more

It was early in the morning and i forgot my daughter socks in the house so I accidentally locked my keys in my car, I called Locksmith guru and they were quick to arrive and very helpful with opening my car. Kyle from Locksmith Guru is the man! Last minute on Sunday night we locked our keys in our car. We thought it would take an hour for them to get there and it would cost way too much. Kyle showed up within 10 minutes of calling and got the job done quick while not damaging the car. The quick service wasn't the only good part. I had gone down to Rocky Point for the weekend and forgot to take the items, including my house keys, out of the nightstand upon departing for Phoenix on Sunday. When I got to Buckeye I called the Guru's and a pleasant man answered and took some information and informed me that the tech would be in touch shortly. Not 5 minutes later my phone was ringing and it was another friendly voice, the technicians. He got to my place literally at the same time that I did. That was nice. The tech went over everything in a professional manner and let me know how the pricing would work. I have a security door with a lock and then the main door that also has a lock. I must admit that I suffered a moment of shock when I realized what I was going to pay for him to pick the two locks -- $252 dollars. I now know that I went to college when that was not necessary. What I should have done is go to tech school and became a locksmith. Wow! The tech without a lie picked both locks in about 7 minutes, maybe less. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. I asked the tech if this was competitive pricing and he assured me that it was -- so I'm not complaining -- and I know that it is more on a Sunday -- I just didn't think it would be that much to pick two locks.
