I have had the experience of coming here twice in my venture in Limerick, which truly tells you about the general cuisine offered in Limerick. It is mostly pubs or convenient/non-sit-down restaurants such as Locke Burger City, which for the record drew us in through its doors due to its 10 euro combo meal burger and fry special. The first time I gave into their promotion was quite a solid meal (as shown in the photo). However, I had the opportunity of coming to the restaurant again and during regular hours (no special deal offered). Therefore, I ordered a brownie and a grilled chicken wrap, both were solid (brownie was not worth the price as it was small and bland; chicken wrap wasn't as filling as I would expect.) However, I was distraught when a homeless man came into the establishment. Although he was told to leave once by the manager, he kept returning and persistently seeking something from the cash register. It got to a point where my friends and I were uncomfortable, as were the managers (they kicked him outside and got into a yelling fight). Although the experience of the first time was great, as was the food for the second, the ambiance was maybe at an unfortunate time and possibly rare scenario for the establishment. read more
