The food was ok, I guess. Not the best burger I've had & the cheese used on the chips (fries) was not the best quality and there was too much on it, I love cheese, but didn't enjoy it on the chips. The service was good, the waitresses were great and very friendly. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, but it wasn't that busy while we were there. I don't understand why chips aren't included in the price of the burger, especially when they are charging so much for the burger! The menu has a wide variety of food, certain to meet anyone's needs. They have a good beer selection, to include Irish beers. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Came here after visiting Cliffs of Moher. Food and service was excellent. Called ahead to make a reservation for 7. Upon arrival we didn't have to wait since our table was ready for us. All the food was delicious, i had the calamari balls as my starter and a burger as my main. Both were delicious; the calamari balls were perfectly fried and the burger was cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh. Our server, Lara, was awesome, she was very nice, incredibly attentive, and was quick with everything. Some of the best service I've ever received at any restaurant. This is my go to restaurant when I'm in Limerick. I usually get the raging bull burger with sweet potatoes fries, but also there pasta dishes are DELICOUS!!!! Wow! This place is killer. We came here on a whim and were greeted by Irene the most lovely, smiley, attentive waitress in Ireland, possibly the entire world. The food was equally great. We started with the pork ribs which were so soft they could be cut with a fork. For dinner I had the southern fried coq and it was outstanding. Honestly it was the best fried chicken I have EVER had. My husband had the bacon bull and said it was the best burger he's ever had - pretty big compliments coming from a couple of Americans. Found this place advertised on our hotels map so we decided to give it a try. The setting is urban and hip, with a young crowd. The waitresses were very friendly helping us with our food selections as well as local attractions to visit after eating. We started with the "hot" chicken wings, followed by the Smokin Bull and the Southern Fried COQ with sweet potato fries. Both meals were exceptional and their sauces are quite good as well (ranch and habanero mayo). We finished with two desserts, the Oreo cookie cheesecake and the cookies with ice cream. This is a very trendy place in Limerick, and I suppose for good reason. I like the layout of the place, long and thin and you get your own space. The service is great, the guy we had was hilarious and cheeky and also remembered everything from a 9-top off his head, which was impressive if slightly anxiety-inducing. The food was good-- chicken wings smell a lot better than they taste unfortunately, but I couldn't hear any other complaints around the table. Great fries too. I also had the raw salad which was a ridiculous idea, expensive and boring and I don't know why I was trying to be healthy in a place like this. The desserts were unbelieveable, the chocolate pot is everything I could possibly want in a dessert and more. Great stuff, will be back--but will go for a burger methinks. read more

Local, tasty, affordable and with a great craft beer menu. Farm-to-Fork in Ireland. I stumbled into Coqbull by chance on a business trip to Ireland last month and was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a traditional Irish meal of stew and a Guinness but I decided this place looked good. Wow! I was amazed with this place. The amount of microbrews on the menu is stunning. I appreciate a Guinness but why not try some of Ireland's microbrews? I had Trouble Brewing's Sabotage IPA and it was hoppy with a nice toasted barley flavor. Highly enjoyable. Then I ordered the Supreme Bull burger (comes with crispy onions and bone marrow) with fries and a side of the smoked garlic aioli. Bun, produce, meat and sauces were all stellar. And I definitely appreciate farm-to-fork philosophy behind this place. According to the menu, all the meat is "100% traceable from local Irish beef." Very nice experience. read more

Came here for lunch with my husband on Wednesday at around 1pm. It was pretty busy in the front dining area but we were quickly seated in another area towards the kitchen. I ordered a bacon bull with a fried egg which was a perfect addition. The beef was really good and juicy! It just needed a bit of salt. The gluten free bun was a little dry but wasn't too bad. My husband ordered the coq ranch. He said it was good but it also needed a bit more seasoning. The service was quick. Overall it was good and we would go back. read more

Fantastic and simple food. This is likely the best rotisserie chicken I have ever had. I also had some of the bunless bull. Again, best burger aside from homemade. As requested, they serves the kids quickly, a burger and calamari. Shared between them. I think they enjoyed it tremendously as well given that their plates were empty before our mains had even arrived... Thank goodness for ice cream and cookies! Service was friendly and adequate.
