    My trailer wheel was not properly torqued and the lugs sheared off the studs while driving a…read morethousand miles away from home in Missouri. The Ogden office forgot to torque the wheels on the trailer. There is brand new brake pads still with the factory cross hatching marks and brand new pads, I assume they got in a rush I forgot to torque the wheels. Imagine being on the highway and having tractor trailers Blair their horns at you and old women telling you to pull over now immediately. I could have killed somebody this is an excusable... Then when I was limping it off the freeway I went to a local mechanic in St Joseph Missouri and asked him to double check all the other Wheels on the trailer. And lo and behold all the wheels lugs were loose. He had a torque wrench with him and I watched him set it to 60 foot pounds and he got at least one full turn of the ratchet before it clicked... I'm pissed I'm flabbergasted when you spend close to six grand on a truck and trailer you expect the wheels not to fall off...

    We had a reservation for a refrigerated truck in place for 6 months. Called to confirm it 3 weeks…read morebefore, and the Friday before pick up (on a Monday), and were told every time that everything was in order. Show up to pick up the truck at the designated time, only to be told that the truck had been given away and there were no other refrigerator trucks to rent. The 100 people who were counting on the truck are left to just figure it out on their own I guess. Worst customer service I have ever encountered and will definitely be telling everyone I can, never to rent for ANY Penske location.

I did a one way rental from Ogden to Las Vegas, and when I returned it, they said I'd gone 729 MILES OVER what is paid for, (540 miles) and it would be an extra $290 to cover the additional mileage. That would mean I put over 1200 miles on the truck, for what is a 500 mile trip! If I'd driven an extra 10 hours, believe me, I'd know! The guy who checked me in at the Vegas location heard me out, and was kind enough to waive the overage charges. Next time, I'm snapping a photo of the odometer next to the contract before I start the trip! I don't know for sure where the error occurred, but I suspect the starting mileage was entered wrong, as the gentleman who set us up was having a lot of computer difficulties with the data entry, and had to do our checkout more than once.

    This was the absolute worst moving experience of my life. Not only did they deliver the uhaul ubox…read morelate but they got the pick-up date wrong which means I waited 6 weeks more than I should have. Then once everything was settled and the ubox was delivered to the final destination they continued to charge my credit card for 3 months! Every month I spent 45 minutes to one hour looking for someone to help me rectify the situation. Every month I received a different person telling something completely different than the previous month. It was a nightmare. Now they said that the destination location is the one I should have been talking to all along and they said they would refund all the overages. Of course that is what they said last month!

    Absolutely horrified at the terrible hitch install we received today. This cost us over $500 to do,…read moreso I expected MUCH better service than this. Our hitch was completed at 6:45 pm, so we drove off thinking all was well. Luckily, I was driving behind my husband and noticed the power wire was dangling a foot under the car. When we went back to ask them to fix it at 7:15 pm (15 min after they closed), the store manager said they were closed and that there was nothing they could do about it...she told us to find a store in the morning to fix it. She offered us a $50 refund because we weren't satisfied with the job they did. Again luckily, I was following behind my husband on the freeway, because I noticed that the back left tail light started flapping all over the place. When he stopped, we saw that the tail light wasn't even put back into place AND the snaps used to hold the taillight were sitting in our truck broken!!!! What kind of service is this? All of these issues are so dangerous and could have been avoided. Avoid this location if you can. I can't believe they allow cars to even leave their location like this. TERRIBLE!

    Shockingly bad customer service from the General Manager no less. Showed up to rent a truck at 6:58…read moream. (Screenshot of drive/arrival time) Open sign is on and doors open. Go inside and am greeted by a women at the desk saying, "excuse me but we aren't open for a few more minutes, we have paperwork to do." I say ok, can we at least wait inside, and get the response, "um, ok." Stand in waiting area for 5 more minutes with no more acknowledgement. Another customer walks in and starts heading over so we walk over to the desk. The general manger (Heather Horton) still doesn't acknowledge us, but a helpful employee next to her, says, "I can help you guys". He was super kind, and helpful. We watched over the next few interactions The GM (Heather Horton) had with customers. One lady came in and said I have a reservation and Heather looked it up, said you don't have one. The women slightly protested saying she had spoken to someone. Heather interrupted her, and said, "listen I'm the General Manager and I'm telling you right now, there is no reservation for you, and I don't have a truck/trailer for you." The customer relented and left. My husband and I just looked at each other shocked at the interaction. Good customer service should provide options, and help, not annoyance and hostility. Nothing like a manager throwing title aand attitude. Interactions with other employees were great, but management is toxic and driving business away.
