TLDR: Came for healthy food. Decent but a bit expensive for what it is. Probably won't come back anytime soon. FOOD: My partner and I were craving something on the healthier side so we came here. Good number of options for multiple diets, which I can appreciate. I was satisfied but wasn't all that excited. SERVICE: Fine, no complaints. AMBIANCE: A little odd. It's a small place and feels a bit crammed. it's more of a takeout spot is what I gathered. VALUE: Meh. They don't skimp on meat which is nice but I wasn't super impressed with the taste of my food. read more

This is definitely a spot for health conscious people. I got a green melon protein smoothie and superfood raw brownie. The smoothie just tasted like a juice. Pretty blah, and it was a let down since I was expecting a more smoothie like texture. Now, that brownie on the other hand was a sleeper hit. On first glance it's pretty small, so you might just think it's not worth it. That brownie is so dense, you'll be chewing for days and it really tasted good! It was actually filling and totally satisfied my sweet craving. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was a little stuffy. I'd probably go back to try one of their hot food options one day. read more

One of the best healthiest meal places I've had in NYC. The outside is quite low key in Chelsea. You wouldn't assume much of it but when you walk in, it's definitely vibes. I love the white interior - it is very chic and there's even a little fireplace. They have a variety of to-go options inside and also a menu where you can sit down and order. They make the food pretty quick and are helpful if you have questions with dietary restrictions. Food wise - I am a fan of everything on the menu. I love how they are seed oil free and use ingredients that are good for your body. Some food highlights: 1. The tomatoes are absolutely delicious from the sauce to the gazpacho (seasonal) 2. The spaghetti squash has great texture and taste 3. Steak and chicken are the best protein options Definitely definitely coming back for more! read more

If I lived in NYC I'd be here every day because it's so delicious for gluten and dairy free food!! Luckily for my wallet I live in California and only get to visit every few months. Everything I've tried has tasted so yummy and clean. It is a bit more pricey but I don't mind when I'm in town. Kudos to whoever created this place read more

We came here looking for a warm bite on a chilly day, and were blown away at the quality of the food. The curry soup was absolutely perfect, full of flavor and vegetables. We were not expecting so many amazing options, but they had something for everyone. Our server Gio was incredibly attentive and helpful with all of my many questions. He really added to the experience in such a positive way! Next time we are back in the city, we are coming back for the soup and spicy roasted chickpeas. I am so happy to have found this healthy spot. read more

Great place for healthy treats. The salmon wrap was good but be mindful the spinach wrap outer layer has a strong taste.

Ordered a steak fajita from Locanut via Grubhub on April 28. Later that evening I developed food poisoning with gastrointestinal symptoms including diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, which continued into the next day. Prior to this meal I had been feeling fine. I reached out to the restaurant directly to flag the issue. They directed me back to Grubhub and did not offer any meaningful resolution. The timing and symptoms were concerning enough that I submitted a report through NYC 311 so it's on record. Based on this experience, I wouldn't order again. read more

Locanut was the most amazing restaurant and is my favorite. Their food was not only prepared with care and was fresh, but health conscious in avoiding oils if the customer prefers and is fully customizable for various food additives and allergens. Nothing is overdone at this restaurant; they do not put garlic in everything, dairy or eggs in everything, do not grill their proteins, nor smother their vegetables in oils. Yet they manage to prepare the most flavorful sauces, dishes and tender proteins. I look forward to the privilege of dining at this restaurant again. read more

This is a place I would eat 3x a week. Like most of us I love unhealthy foods, but Locanut delivers really healthy options across its menu that I will crave just as much. I highly recommend the Turkey wrap, and as good as it was I can't wait till try something different here next time. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty. Our server (Nikki) was super nice and helpful with explaining all of our wonderful choices Locanut affords. Sorry, the food looked so good I didn't wait to take photos before eating. ***** read more

I got wild salmon with chimichurri, baked sweet potato fries, and kale and spinach with lemon. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. However, the sweet potato fries were very dry, chewy and somewhat burnt. The kale and spinach was nicely cooked but so sandy it was inedible. I feel that with a little more attention form the kitchen staff this could have been a lovely dinner...but it really was not. read more

I'm happy they were delivering to where I work! I ordered the roasted garlic cauliflower mash, small size 12oz. I also ordered a couple drinks and the grass fed meatball plate with roasted Brussels sprouts and pesto spaghetti squash. Delivery arrived a little late but maybe they were busy. Food was warm when I got to it. The roasted garlic mash I ordered spicy and it was. Had a nice heat to it. Not like mashed potatoes!! It was more soft/liquidy than mashed potatoes. Cauliflower contains more water. So texture is similar to baby food in a jar lol. The garlic flavor was light. It was good! It's worth it. $7.50 The grass fed meatballs I ordered spicy too but they were not. It's ok cause the flavor was good. I like the fresh tomato sauce and capers. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly roasted. Tasted fresh. The spaghetti squash was also cooked perfect and the pesto was a light flavor too which was nice. I would definitely order again from here and I'm pleased with the cold drinks I ordered too. Both good. I recommend this place! Yummy fresh food. read more

At its core, this place makes meals for you that are as clean and healthy as you could make for yourself but you just don't have time for. Beyond that there are a ton of things I clearly couldnt cook for myself like the avacado gaspacho, and the other soups which are inventive and phenomenal tasting. Ordering via app is expensive, just like everywhere else in manhattan, but you have to love the fact that you are getting clean ingredients made exactly to order. one of a kind spot for sure! read more

Ordered the organic chicken fajita with baked pumpkin spiced sweet potato fries. Pros: The food was really good. The chicken fajita had a nice subtle spice to it but not enough where you couldn't eat it. I enjoyed the sautéed peppers and onions as well. I never had a wrap using collard greens so I was happy it didn't hinder me eating. It was soft to bite into and not crunchy so it was easy to fold around the chicken. The pumpkin flavoring on the fries was good as well. Tasted a bit sweet like cinnamon was used as well. Cons: My food was delivered 30 mins later than estimated (1.5hrs) but luckily I wasn't that hungry. But based on other reviews I would take that into consideration if you feel like you might gnaw off your hand from starvation. Presentation wise it wasn't the best. When I opened the container there was a lot of liquid from the fajita which made some of the fries soggy. Although I liked the collard green wrap, the already soft leaf got a little soggy from all the liquid. Overall I would order from here again. It reminded me of food that I could easily make if I actually had any form of cooking skills which I don't. At all. read more

Best place ever, I am obsessed. So fresh and dairy free I love it! Favorites are the salmon bowl and chicken plate

I have Ulcerative Colitis and have yet to find anywhere else i'm able to eat when i'm in a flare. this place is a GODSEND.

LOVE. Like God DAMN that's good. Follows that gourmet expensive style, but know that the flavor will follow and it's super healthy. I recommend going there in person if you can--it's iffy on orders via app. read more

I used to love this place when I lived in nyc! I ordered from this place several times a week! I love that they adjust the salt levels to your liking and offer gluten free options. Locanut - Salmon plate and small 4oz Guac - Caterers Near Me - New York, New York

Love this place so much I just ordered the turkey burger on an almond cauliflower bun- I fry my own egg at home since I'm obsessed with having to see an orange yoke, not yellow.- But I order the pickles - aioli with guacamole on side- I slather the gauc and aioli atop each bite with pickles inside- mmmm yum. The chocolate chip cookie . Taste so naughty and good I have a lot of food sensitivities and this place keeps my reactions at bay- one of the rare delivery places to do so. The bone broth soup is delicious - I order with a side of meatballs Cauliflower mash is one of my favorites But the most amazing convenience of it all is the al La carte paleo almond cauliflower buns. I order like 4-5 and save them for later - to make my favorite sandwiches with. but recently I tried something that a game changer for my taste buds - I sprinkled Trader Joe's "everything bagel" seasoning. OMG I felt like I was reunited with one of my loves that I thought i lost forever to allergies lol I I use buns to make low Mercury grade tuna sandwiches with tomatoes and lettuce- sprinkled the seasoning on the inside of buns- wow so good! I've made my own turkey burgers, breakfast sandwiches - etc with it. Anyways you can trust that this place does not skip corners- it's a little pricey, but don't blame them- blame the Real Estate Landlord's ! A lot of restaurants cut corners with cheap unhealthy ingredients to salvage profits from the high cost lid their leases. It's a scary time- but locanut still stands and deserves to do so. The product is not only fulfilling, but beneficial Don't sleep on this place- it's not an inexpensive lunch- but at least treat yourself to it here and there and order extra cauliflower buns to make your fav dishes until next order. Well worth it. But if you can afford it, lucky you! MUST BE NICEEEE lol read more

They demanded I cancel my order online after they couldn't fulfill it. Horrible service

This is the second time I ordered food from this place and once again I was disappointed. This time they sent me the Quinoa Veggie bowl without ingredients listed on their menu (carrots and sweet potatoes). They added zucchini instead (I hate zucchini). You are basically paying $14 for quinoa and very little veggies. The food took forever to be delivered both times I ordered here and they are just 2 blocks away from my house. Didn't have patience to complain as I was starving by the time the food arrived. read more

Definitely healthy and fresh. Does it taste good? It's it something I want to finish and the spices feel off like on the sweet potato fries and the mashed cauliflower. I couldnt eat those items. The steak tasted good and clean. For diet days it's a good choice otherwise go elsewhere. read more

Waiting three hours for delivery via grubhub (ordered 12:30pm). Called number listed by Grubhub and spoke with Larry at Locanut at 2:30 he tells me order will be here in 20 minutes. Highly disappointed. Let me just start by stating, I ordered the Free Range Turkey Meatballs with Zucchini "noodles" for $20. I was looking for a delicious, healthy lunch option and came across Locanut. Everything on the menu sounds super healthy and delicious; however, upon receiving my order I noticed the whole dish was swimming in the zucchini liquid (so much that it resembled soup) at the bottom of the container. See photo. Needless to say, that was off-putting. Then, I took a bite and it was just a tasteless mixture of ingredients. I'm not a picky eater and love eating healthy so this was completely upsetting. This is why more people don't try "healthy" eateries because somehow restaurants forget vegetables should be flavorful too. So they are proving those people right. Even more disappointing is that when Seamless contacted the restaurant about my order issue, their response was that "the zucchini noodles have a lot of moisture and that is unavoidable." That response is unacceptable, this is a restaurant that specializes in cooking vegetables and healthy meals. I've made zucchini "noodles" at home before and there's a proper way to make it to avoid this problem. If a restaurant cannot make this properly, don't put this dish on the menu. The only good thing is that this order was on time. But in the end, I felt like I had just wasted my money, time, and I was still hungry! Maybe it was just this dish, but I am hesitant to try anything else there so I won't be ordering again or recommending it. read more

Locanut - Free Range Turkey Meatballs with Zucchini "noodles." Disappointing - Caterers Near Me - New York, New York

Just ordered Locanut on Seamless for the first time and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. I ordered the cauliflower risotto with turkey meatballs and my got the zucchini noodles with turkey meatballs. The delivery was correct, on time and had cute little handwritten labels and notes. The person who delivered the food was prompt, pleasant and very put-together. My cauliflower risotto was very coconutty in a good way and I liked that the cauliflower was in bigger chunks rather than shredded. The turkey meatballs had good veggies incorporated inside. My friend LOVED the zucchini noodles as well. Although the price was a little high, $16-18/plate, it was worth it knowing it was quality ingredients and I could definitely see Locanut takes pride in their product! read more

Over 1.5 hours food is still not here. Every time I've called "food has been on its way". Why lie just say you're backed up and apologize.

Tried locanut for the first time on a weekday for lunch through seamless. Not sure why I had never heard of it before, but I was super excited about the healthy options!! I ordered the turkey meatballs, roasted cauliflower, grilled baby artichokes, and a side of paleo pesto. The meal was healthy, fresh, and clean, which was what I was looking for but there definitely could have been more flavor! The food was also lukewarm upon arrival unfortunately. The grilled baby artichokes weren't actually grilled...I think they were canned or dried artichokes hearts. The roasted cauliflower was good. The turkey meatballs with puttanesca were decent but could have been a little more crispy (assuming they weren't pan fried which is fine. Would order from here again but would go with a different order. Would like to try the zoodles, spaghetti squash or cauliflower risotto with grilled chicken or salmon! read more

This is by far the worst place I have ever ordered from, and that says a lot. I called both numbers I found for the restaurant to check on my order repeatedly with no answers, it went straight to voicemail. By the time I received the order I was beyond hungry, a turkey burger with the tapioca coconut bun and yucca fries, it legit looked like a 15 year old had made this in their home kitchen and nothing was cooked long enough. Such a disappointment. The yucca fries were hard and the turkey burger wasn't cooked all the way through. I can't even get in touch with them to let them know the issue, so I'm -$25 and starving at work. Thanks Locanut! For nothing. Also the delivery guy had no change! I had said I was paying with cash, I had to scramble together change from my co workers and for what? Literally nothing since I can't even muster the strength to eat this awful meal. Update: hours later I have finally gotten in contact with the restaurant. The manager was extremely rude in telling me that I didn't give them a chance to make it right.. um excuse me I had taken the time to call your restaurant literally about 20 times and each time it was unanswered. I then was told that they would compensate me if I took this review down. Ridiculous and shows you the character of the people running this establishment. I will leave this up because it's still the truth nothing has changed except I now know how rude they are as well. read more

DELICIOUSLY HEALTHY! Thanks Locanut for offering great HEALTHY eats, giving us a healthy wholesome lunch option as an alternative to the traditional salad. As much as I love salads, there are days where I want something different or perhaps a warm meal on a cold winter day. I opted for the organic coconut cauliflower 'risotto' with organic chicken and although the price tag was a bit hefty, you get a good amount of food! I was only able to eat 1/3 of my plate but the leftovers are great for dinner or for the next day!
