    Super Sweet Potatoes.

Another healthy food spot in the city. Love the location in the city. The team was really helpful when it came to ordering off the menu - there are plenty of fresh selections. The store inside is very aesthetic to look at and was a good experience to sit and relax. I didn't really know the backstory but the foods on the menu are actually curated to be good for the brain. They also host events dedicated to brain health. Food wise, decided to go with the Super Sweet Potato Bowl - it was good, nothing too crazy special. I feel like a lot of their dishes feel that way - healthy with no crazy flavors. I will admit some of their other bowls like the Nori Nirvana or Zen Curry do sound good, as well as the kim-cheese sandwich. I'll be back to try those out.

The food here was delicious! It was a perfect amount for lunch and I loved the miso salmon. It was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of flavor. There was a lot of seating available and not crowded. Would definitely recommend!

Chirashi bowl with miso salmon. 10/10!

So I only leave reviews if I love or hate a place lol. But I haven't been back to Honeybrains in over a year being bicoastal and was in the neighborhood coming out of the gym so I came looking for the jerk salmon bowl (which they sadly got rid of). But the employee there suggested maybe the chirashi bowl with miso salmon - BOMB!!! Was so good I just walked out and had to leave a review lol. I didn't get the girls name (had bangs and a hat) but she was so nice and helpful and just seemed happy lol - not typical for a walk in type of food place! So that was nice (when I would go would usually be the downtown location and don't recall the same type of service!). But that bowl! Miso salmon was sooooo perfectly marinated and cooked. I make that at home marinating it for days and haven't gotten it like that yet. But the wasabi sauce was such a surprise. Amazing. I think the owners and chef were having a meeting right on the floor but I so badly wanted to interrupt it to tell them to please keep this bowl and salmon in their plans forever lol. And shout out the chefs because these aren't your typical bland healthy bowls. They're healthy and so tasty!

    A place to stop by!

Love their food. Theirs bowls are fantastic ! Salads options also and sandwiches. My fav was tuna. Service is nice and friendly! Ambiance is fine for relaxing breakfast where you don't have to dress up or impress anyone / just yourself with good mood and food!

I ordered pickup from here after getting a discount. The spot was super cute - it's bright and decorated according to theme with honeycomb shaped shelving on the side of the walls. I ordered the steak &mash with the recommended sauce. It wasn't bad but it wasn't wow either. It came with a serving of steak, a couple broccoli florets, a scoop of mashed potatoes, over a bed of spring mix. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was. The sauce was also throwing me off since it was green and thick. The steak wasn't bad though.

Chicken and Rice Bowl with chick peas

Really cute place, happy vibes, and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes! As you walk in towards the back to order food (you can order food at the juice bar I believe it is), there will be lots of seats and tables to sit at. The place is spacious and if you dine in, staff will ask you for your vaccination card. I've been here twice and loved both times I've been here. I've tried the Daily Catch brain bowl and the Chicken & Rice brain bowl. Both are gluten free (not that I don't eat gluten but it's nice to know) and the portion size is more than enough for one person. The Daily Catch brain bowl has Atlantic salmon garnished with crushed peanuts, cilantro & red chillies, kale, and Honeybrains seasoned sweet potatoes. It was a slightly weird combination with the sweet potatoes but it somehow worked. The salmon was a bit dry but with the sauce on the side (which I extremely appreciate so I can pour in how much I want), it was okay. The Chicken & Rice brain bowl had pulled free-range HB season chicken, Zaatar spiced chickpeas, Himalayan ruby rice, and raw baby spinach. I personally liked this one more probably because the chicken was pretty flavorful and I like rice! There was some green sauce on the side, again really appreciate that, and it was really delicious. This was recommended by the staff because I came in super hungry and couldn't decide what to pick so she picked it for me, making sure I didn't have any allergies or asking if there were any thing I wouldn't like. So far I've only encountered friendly staff and I can't complain! The food here can be a little pricey but as we all know, healthy food is always more pricey than fast food! Looking forward to trying more things in the menu!

The coffee was awful. The staff was not helpful. The ambiance was cute but that's about it.

But it turned out to be a fantastic meal and fully satisfied my endless craving for well-made soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were excellent, too, crispy without being greasy and packed with scallions. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
