    Truffle fries 4.84244 stars

I discovered this restaurant on Yelp while searching for "happy hour," so the four of us decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a fantastic addition to Willow Glen! Since we didn't have a reservation, we were told we could only sit on the patio--perhaps because we just wanted appetizers. I wasn't sure, but I didn't mind; the weather was pleasant, and it was enjoyable to watch people stroll by. Still, I noticed the indoor area wasn't full, which made me wonder why we didn't have the option to sit inside. Every 5 to 10 minutes, a few servers or hostesses would step out of the restaurant, seemingly searching for someone or something. Regardless, the service was prompt, and our food arrived at the table without delay. Overall, we enjoyed the Happy Hour menu. The Truffle Fries were a favorite--so much so that I ordered a second round. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding, with a rich balsamic glaze and Parmigiano Reggiano that made them taste almost decadent. The Bruschetta was also delicious, featuring fresh tomatoes, basil, and other flavorful ingredients. The Panna Cotta was silky, delicate, and elegantly melt-in-your-mouth. On the other hand, the Margherita pizza was underwhelming--edible but not memorable. Similarly, the sangria lacked vibrancy. I would definitely return to try the main menu. While I prefer their Downtown Campbell location, this Willow Glen spot is also charming and certainly worth another visit.

Attended a Mother's Day lunch with about 15 people. Service was awesome and the delivery cadence was spot on with most dishes arriving at around the same time. I tried the chicken parm and it was a large portion with beaded, but soggy thin cut pounded cutlets. It came with two, stacked on top of each other. Also tried the frito misto which was also a good portion size and decent but very chewy calamari. Nice place and I would return.

I absolutely love this place! One of my favorites! The decor of the whole restaurant is stunning, the staff is always friendly and the food is amazing! There's even a bar to grab a couple cocktails for happy hour. Love that this restaurant is now on Lincoln Ave.

This is the best Italian restaurant I've been to. The rigatoni alla vodka is delicious and creamy, I love the smoky flavor from. I got the salmon, it was well cooked and the sauce that came with it paired nicely with the fish and all the vegetables. The man who seated us was very nice and accommodating, he even asked the chef to make truffle fries for us (it should be added to the menu). The atmosphere was very inviting and beautiful, the decor takes you into Italy. Everything was a 10/10 and I will definitely be back!

Made a reservation on Opentable to get dinner with a friend and we came on Sunday night around 5:45pm. We got to choose where we wanted to sit and it had a cute vibe inside (very cozy). We ordered the bread basket, fritto misto, zucchini fettuccine, and rigatoni. Everything came out very fast and our server was very attentive. My favorite wasn't even the food it was the dessert We ordered the tiramisu which had nutella drizzle and it was honestly the best tiramisu i've had! The panna cotta was good too; i loved the texture but tiramisu won my heart. I definitely want to come back to try their other dishes especially the pizza!

I didn't know Locanda Sorrento in Campbell had another spot in Willow Glen called Locanda Ischia. The space definitely has the same vibe as their Campbell location -- cozy, warm, and really nicely decorated. Service was great. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive. But the food was just okay for me. I'm not sure why, but I definitely prefer the dishes at the Campbell location more. We tried the fritto misto, basically calamari. It was good, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. My friend ordered the special of the day, the lobster ravioli, and I got the rigatoni alla vodka. Both dishes kind of tasted like they had the same sauce, and overall everything felt a bit bland. I'd come back for the service and the ambiance, but food-wise, I'd still choose their Campbell location.

Came back to try some more delicious Italian food and was not disappointed. For drinks I tried the Locanda Spritz which is basically a lemoncello spritz, very tasty! For started we tried their bruschetta and it was great. I loved the addition of the green olives and they did not skimp out at all. The basil and tomatoes were very fresh. For entrees we split their San Daniele pizza and vodka pasta. OH MY GOD! Whatever you do get the vodka pasta. I've never tasted something so delicious! The pizza was good as well but man that pasta stole the show. Overall another good experience here!

    Gnocchi with truffle cream sauce

Made reservations on Open Table and needed to move the reservation due to conflicts with my previous appt. Had a workshop down the way and it ran later than expected. The host was incredible and informed me that they were running behind about 20 minutes behind. She communicated throughout the processes which is the only thing you could actually ask for. I appreciate that instead of being ignored. The restaurant feel is like family. The servers make you laugh & the interior takes you to another world. I adored the tiles and color the chose for the walls. It's as if you're transported to Italy. The moment you sit down, the server is there getting you water, still or a bottle of sparking. The menu changes with the season. I was lucky enough to experience their gnocchi with truffle cream sauce. It was to die for. I am definitely coming back here.

    Spaghetti Vongole

A truly amazing experience from start to finish. Went there with my siblings to enjoy a reunion and celebrate what would have been our father's 105 birthday. We were not rushed and yet they were attentive The restaurant is bright and cheerful and , as the evening progressed , noisy but in a good way. The food was delicious as we tried several items. We started with Mamma Carmela's Meatballs, Fritto Misto (calamari and tiger prawns and a Caprese Salad The meatballs and calamari were excellent and I'd repeat them again. Caprese salad was small and perfect for sharing. Our mains included Spaghetti Vongole (clams), lasagna, Salmon Piccata , Braciola(seared stuffed beef rolls), and Ziti Amalfitani. All we truly wonderful with good sized servings. We finished the evening sharing Tiramisu, Torta Ciocxolato and Berry Panna Cotta ( my favorite was the Berry Panna Cotta) So overall 5 entrees, 3 appetizers/salads, desserts and 4-5 drinks for about $330. Was well worth it. If the quality stays they will be very successful.

    Frito Misto & Arancine

I wanted to love this place so badly, but I am sad to report that I did not. I typically lean towards the positive in my reviews and wanted to do that here but decided I'm going to go with the truth We started with the frito misto, good - perfectly seasoned. I missed that it was served with an olive dip which I was bummed about as I'm not a huge olive fan, but it tasted fine without. Our second app was the arancine (fried risotto balls) and this is when my doubt began to creep in. The risotto seemed more like a pilaf which brought back memories of the last time I was disappointed by risotto, and it happened to be in the restaurant that held the space Locando Ischia took over. It made me wonder if some of the recipes transferred over from the previous restaurant. My husband ordered salmon and I got the carbonara. Thinking back on it I should have sent it back and am regretting that decision. The noodles were undercooked and the pepper and salt was very heavy handed. I ate about a third of it and took the rest of it home in hopes of doctoring it up at home. We have been to the Campbell location and were amazed by our meal so I wasn't sure what the disconnect was here and if they have a different head chef. On the bright side the service was great!

    Artichoke salad

We were here for a quick bite! Staff was very welcoming and ambience is very cute and cozy. We had pizza margarita. It was nice. I had salad with artichoke, that was very impressive. Loved the presentation of the salad. I'll definitely return here to try more dishes.

Great date night spot! The pastas were so flavorful and delicious. The service is great and I love the homey feel of the interior. Will definitely be returning!

It's a little tough to write this review since I visited during opening week, but I'm still glad I had the chance to check out one of Willow Glen's newest spots. I came with my sister, mom, and niece on a somewhat busy Tuesday evening. I ordered the Summer Vibes salad, while the rest of the table had the carbonara ravioli and one of the specials. We were served bread with pesto to start. The pesto had an unexpected flavor--tasted more like parsley than basil--but the bread was soft and fresh, which I appreciated. My salad was pretty simple and could've used a little more flair. It felt more like a shareable side than a main, which makes sense since the real standouts seem to be the pastas and main entrées. The pasta dishes were definitely rich, creamy, and flavorful. Service was on the slower side, possibly due to being short-staffed or still working out the opening-week kinks. There were plenty of bussers, but not many actual servers. At one point, a woman--maybe the owner?--was helping greet guests but also sat down at a nearby table to have a glass of wine with what seemed like friends. Totally understandable if she needed a break, but it did add to the sense of disjointed service. The decor is beautiful though, with floral accents and lemons adorning the walls--it really does give a little taste of Naples. Personally, I think this spot would be better suited for a date night or a girls' night out. In the meantime, I might check out their sister location, Locanda Sorrento in Campbell, until the initial buzz and crowds settle down a bit.

We walked in around 8 p.m. on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated right away, though it was clearly busy--definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to go earlier on a weekend evening. We started with a bottle of wine, and they bring out complimentary bread with an olive oil mix (dangerous if you're like me and can easily fill up on the free bread). We shared the Insalata Cesare, which they thoughtfully split for us without even asking--such a nice touch. For dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi alla Genovese and the Gamberi e Calamari Fra Diavola, and it was the perfect combo. We originally considered two pasta dishes, but I'm so glad we didn't--it would've been way too filling. The pasta was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, and as a basil lover, this dish absolutely hit the spot. The seafood was also delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and it came with a side of veggies and roasted potatoes that rounded everything out nicely. They also have both a side patio and a front patio with seating, which appeared to be heated--such a great option and would have been lovely to sit outside as well. We loved everything about this experience and will definitely be back soon!

After a few recommendations from our server, we decided to try: Mushroom Arancini (10/10): These are amazing, as soon as they brought it out, we can both instantly smelled the truffle oil. The exterior were crispy & pipping hot, the inside has creamy mushroom. It was certain my favorite of the night! Rigatoni alla Vodka (8/10): A solid pasta! The sauce was great and balanced. There was a good amount of sauce that coated in the pasta. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente! This is a staple dish but I felt like it might lack an interesting flair. Stuffed Branzino (8/10): Another solid dish! The whole were already debone which made it so much easier and fussed free. The skin on top was insanely crispy, the meat were juicy and overall tasted very healthy and fresh! It was a nice paired to the heavy pasta dish! What a great restaurant. It has a large bar where you can watch sports, with a few tables nearby, and a separate large dining room with many tables. We were seated at a booth just past the bar. High ceilings and plenty of light in the main room and darker in the dining room. The server was prompt and attentive, without hovering. We asked about 2 wines and she brought a sample from the open "wine by the glass", which was great. My wife had veal piccata and I asked for a recommendation between the linguine with clams or chicken parm. The waitress said the parm was very popular, but the linguine was her favorite, so I went with that. LOTS of clams and a nice slightly thicken sauce that stuck to the pasta and didn't drip off. My wife loved her veal. Prices were all reasonable. Overall, this is a great place for a date, group get together, or casual night out. We'll be back!

But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. The carbonara was amazing--served super hot with great flavor and a solid amount of meat. Easily a 10/10. One tip though: eat it while it's hot, because once it cools down, it's not quite the same. The seafood pasta was also a standout. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and it felt surprisingly light for a pasta dish. You know how pasta can sometimes feel heavy? This didn't have that at all. Another 10/10. The pesto pasta (a special that day) was just okay for me. It leaned a bit too oily, and the pesto flavor didn't really come through. They added ricotta, which kind of overpowered everything else. I did like the portion and the amount of meat, but overall I'd give it a 7/10. I always love the bright decorations and costal vibes. They had some extra flowers around for the holiday. All of our food was amazing. My person favorite was the coppa di Sorrento. I love the lobster Ravioli ( filled with Maine lobster and asparagus) top with Tiger prawn in homemade orange sauce . Fresh Mediterranean Sea bass filet & capers in a lemon butter sauce , served with fresh garden vegetables. Appetizers: Fritto Misto is deep fried Monterey calamari, tiger prawn , artichoke , zucchini & chef 's capri sauce . So so delicious We have also ordered the Trofie Al Pesto V ( homemade twisted shirt pasta , basil & pine nuts pesto ,pistachios, tomato confit , & parmigiana - Reggiano chips . That was my least favorite. All the pasta dishes are homemade by the Naples - born chef and restaurateur Enzo Rosano . Along with his brothers , this is the newest of the seven " Locanda"restaurants located throughout the Bay Area. The interior design is very elegant with a painted ceiling . If it is your birthday, the waiter would come to your table and sing with his opera voice ! Excellent service . Our waiter Ernesto P checked on us often and brought us drinks and food in a short time . He was very very helpful. They have a small parking lot with 2 handicap parking . Lots of parking on the street too . But you should allow yourself 15 minutes early for parking . They always have a line and the table will be given to the next cutoff you are late .
