Been ordering from here since I moved to the area. Recently hosted my newly 21 year old daughter and 6 of her besties for a weekend long bar crawl to celebrate her. After day drinking and witnessing them trying to rally to head back out for the evening, I decided to order Local Slice. Lo and behold, one member of her party suggested Hawaiian pizza with 2 others seconding her. I HATE HAWAIIAN PIZZA and think the person who created it should be shot (with rubber bullets). I have a very adventurous palate. Would even allow an anchovy to grace my Za, but wtf with pineapple and Canadian Bacon??? My argument against it was futile and I begrudgingly picked up the phone to call... Lo and behold again, the gent who took my call asked if I wanted regular or their 3 hour Hawaiian with pork belly. Desperate to venture far from my nemesis, I opted for their custom version. Oh my heck, sweet baby Jesus, this thing was not only delicious, but 4 of us claimed it as the best pizza we'd had in forever!!! Two other pies were devoured quickly as well, but they fought over the 3 hour (sad I was the hostess and needed to be generous, or I would have licked the whole thing to claim it as mine). Genius. Long story long, I'm a big fan. Nice people here, too. Delivery takes a while, but assume it's cuz they're small business with lots of orders! read more

Didn't even realize this was only a mile from my house. Short version: good pizza, friendly staff, unique garlic knots, local I placed an online order later on Friday evening, and I assumed that they were busier than the ordering site said, so I showed up 10 minutes after the appointed time. The guy at the counter said they were behind, that they'd just started working on my order, and that they were out of pineapple. I wasn't worried about the wait, but being out of a topping that is on literally half the menu is a bit concerning. He gave me a free drink while I waited and brought a 20% off coupon for my next visit. I got the bbq chicken pizza, garlic knots, and their salad. The pizza was good without the pineapple, though I do want to try it with. Good texture and ingredients. The knots are unique with some kind of spices on top that I'm not accustomed to, but dip it in marinara, and you're good to go. I didn't live the salad, but I think it was the dressing that didn't appeal to me. Might just do ranch or get the Caesar next time. I'll be back, but I'll probably call to place my order next time to confirm toppings. Looking forward to that 20% off. read more

We loved our pizza from Local Slice II and it was also one of the best pizza values for the price I've found in Austin. We ordered the Margherita pizza, and garlic knots but I forgot to take a picture of those. The pizza was so good, and they also have good ranch - you know what I mean? ;) the garlic knots were kinda bland (better when dipped in some sauce or ranch) but also inexpensive so can't complain there! read more

I got the 2 slice lunch special with a drink. It was 6.50 but I got the 5 hr Hawaiian and meat lovers (50 cent extra). I'm glad did! They've got seriously good pizza and premium toppings. It's thin new York style. My pizza was fresh, hot, greasy, and devoured in just minutes! They also have real sugar fountain drinks like root beer, vanilla cream, and Mexican coke! I am a little upset that it took me so long to find this place. After living in the St. Johns neighborhood for 2 years now, I happen to see the listing on yelp and decided to check it out. The GF and I showed up on a Sunday night and was worried it wasn't open. There are no big flashing lights or large sign. After walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly cashier inside who was more then willing to help. We were the only people in their but the place was spotless and quiet. We ordered the 14" Italian sausage pizza and garlic knots. The garlic knots were incredibly fresh and melted in your mouth. They are served nice and hot and are more then enough food to feed 4 people before a pizza. My only recommendation for the knots would be that they needed more garlic. Not a major complaint though. The pizza on the other hand was absolutely amazing. Perfect amount of crust that was filled with flavor and crunchiness. Additionally, the sausage was spiced to perfection and made for a perfect pizza topping. I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

I am so picky about pizza. Once you've worked in a NY style pizza place and learned how to make it yourself it pretty much ruins delivery for you. UNTIL I found local slice. Holy shit. Perfect crispy but chewy crust, great sauce, great cheese. The first time we ordered there was a little too much cheese on the pizza but the second time it was PERFECT. Good salad too! I have now gone three or four times and every time disappointment is not a word that ever comes close to my mind. This place has great service and even better pizza, and is my new favorite! This pizza has the best crust! My kids are simple; One likes cheese, the other is a pepperoni fan. Both pizzas were great. Their 18" large pizza is huge! Plenty available for leftovers. The sausage pepperoni calzone was also humongous. Other than being a bit greasy, it was delicious. We got the garlic knots one time and they were tasteless. It may have been a bad batch because others really liked them. We also enjoyed the cheese sticks. Definitely try them. This is our new go-to local pizza place. You won't be disappointed! read more

Absoulelty great pizza place with huge 18" pizzas for a good price. We got the Tuscan and everything on it tasted great. The crust (in my opinion) was the perfect texture; slightly chewy and had good flavor. There was a even distribution of toppings and the pineapple added the perfect level of sweetness. UPDATED REVIEW: during quarantine, I'd had an issue with a pizza that the management discovered and fixed immediately way above and beyond. Had a fabulous delicious meal tonight. Excellent New York style pizza right here in Austin. The lunch options are very affordable and I had a slice of pizza and a great salad. The pizza is not greasy and the crust is soft. It is a small shop so I'd get it to go if you have a large party. Luckily, we beat the lunch rush because all the tables were full as we were leaving. read more

LOVE this pizza. This is the second location I've tried & the friendly service and great quality pizza is the same as the other location! This location, I tried their margherita pizza which was really good- BUT note that they don't use red sauce on it... so if you like red sauce (I do), you might want to put in a special request so you're not disappointed when you get it! The artwork on the wall is awesome! Review of other location which pertains to this one too, so I'm copying and pasting below... this one is just slightly smaller seating-wise.... maybe 6-7 tables of 4 people each? The crust is SUPERB!!!! I actually ate all of my crust & I don't like crust (normally) The sauce and cheese-- YUM. I actually really want this for dinner now & I might have to go get some. What I tried: Whole hearted: artichoke, spinach, mushroom, roasted cherry tomato, green olives- really good combination & very flavorful for vegetarian pizza. I was a fan of this one but picked out the olives b/c I just don't like salt bombs. 5 hour hawaiian: pork belly & pineapple & basil. A change from the normal ham & pineapple. Definitely higher quality meat than ham... unfortunately, personally, I wasn't a HUGE fan of this change because sometimes cheap ham & pineapple taste good together. But I appreciated the quality in the ingredients. White pizza with several toppings I forget which ones but it was delicious Pepperoni & mushroom pizza: Classic, can't go wrong here. This is seriously some good pizza. I'm also glad that its really close to me. Its in one of those kinda hidden strip malls that you would keep riding past if ya didn't know any better. The pizza has a delicious tasting crust..like a previous poster, I normally give my puggles the crust, but when I eat one of these pizzas its tough luck for my boys! The sauce is a little sweet, but it doesn't take away from the balance of the taste. The marriage between the cheese, toppings , sauce and crust is on point. This is a favorite. read more

I love this place. Sometimes I'll just walk around and get a pizza craving and ordering a margherita from Local Slice is my first thought. Especially during the past year, pizza night from Local Slice has been such a comfort for us. I think the garlic knots also hit the spot. They usually deliver to us pretty quick as well. I just picked up an order, can't review taste as ended up throwing away. Persons making my salad were not sanitary about it. First guy was sitting on counter with his phone, hopped down and went to get salad mix. Reached in with bear hand to grab salad. Local Slice has quickly become my new favorite lunch spot. It's super close to my work, so I can get there and back in 30 minutes. They have an awesome lunch special with two choices: -2 one topping slices (pay extra for additional toppings) + a drink OR -1 one topping slice + salad + garlic knot + a drink FOR $6.50 (plus tax). I mean you can't beat that. It's worth noting that their slices are huge. I opt for the salad/pizza combo. Such a good deal. You can choose between a caesar salad or walnut creek salad. I recommend the walnut creek - it's a spring mix and comes with apples, cucumbers, candied walnuts and a vinaigrette (shake it up). They have premium toppings as well if you want to pay a little more for toppings like pork belly, steak, fresh mozzarella, homemade meatballs, etc. If you're in the area, or by their Cedar Park location, you should stop here for a bite. read more
