Awesome service from Local Rooter! I needed a plumber badly as my plumber from Task Rabbit was unable to complete the job and had to turn off our water supply. I went down the line and contacted plumbers on Yelp who had lots of good reviews. I contacted at least 5-6 and didn't get a call back from any of them or was told that they could not come out for a couple of days. Local Rooter was the only one who actually returned my call promptly and sent to someone to get the job done right. Loi Thai not only fixed the problem but also identified an exterior pipe that had the potential to burst. There was no scare tactic used or high pressure sales but honest consultation and feedback. I was so happy with the service that I contacted them again to replace a toilet. They were able to send out David who did a great job. These guys are professional, hard working and straight forward. The best thing is that they come out when you need them and they actually get back to you promptly which is rare with a lot of trade businesses. Kudos guys! You have a customer for life. read more

My kitchen sink was leaking as the strainer body and the pvc trap had come apart. Contacted this plumbing service thru yelp and the response was within 5 min. Tai came to our address within an hr's time and fixed the issue quickly and did a neat job. I am giving1 less star as they are expensive even for a simple job work. read more

Came home from work today to a clogged sewer!!! Called around to several places, described what was going on and received quotes from multiple places. Local Rooter & Plumbing was the last call before I had to set an appointment for the next day to get decent price. But once Duey gave me a quote that didn't change by business hours, I was able to have him and his partners come today and clear up the sewer!! I didn't have to wait until the next day, lowest price, cleared sewer, put a camera down the sewer pipe without extra charge and gave me other tips. They were a very friendly and professional crew. I highly recommend their services to everyone looking for a great professional plumber who you can trust. Thank you guys for helping me out, truly appreciate the service!!! read more

5:00 am visit to the bathroom turned into a dip into lake Titi- CACA. Called these guys and they were able to come out a few hours later. David was awesome, he worked so hard to clear the clog and was also very informative as to what his process was to resolve the problem . We had two backed up bath tubs and two overflowing and leaking toilets. It took several hours, two snakes and a jetter(sp) to clear the mess, but my goodness were we grateful. Overall, these people were great and so was their service and pricing. I hope to never need these services again, but if so, I highly recommend this company. 5 star review well deserved and earned. Thanks guys, you really saved us today! read more

Local Rooter came out today on short notice and was able to help us identify the problem quickly. Prompt and very professional, they cleared out the sewage line and set us up with additional help to clean and sanitize under the house. I appreciated the clear and timely communication throughout, it made a very stressful situation much easier to manage. I would definitely recommend them. read more

With this years El Niño forecast looming, we needed our storm drain to be cleared asap. Duy and his men came the day we called and got straight to work. They are a nice group of three professional guys that are not only easy to talk to, but honest and diligent in their work ethics. Our drain trench was completely clogged due to years of neglect. They were able to clear it out and installed a drain box to properly drain the water. They cleaned the work area very nicely and moved all our patio furniture back as was. Their work is also covered for a year incase any problems arise. We are very happy to find this company and plan to use them for future plumbing issues. They handle all plumbing problems, inside and outside of the home. read more

I had my sewer cleaned by another company, but I lost the name. So I picked this company based on the Yelp reviews. And it didn't disappoint. Treiu came out per the requested time, and whereas the previous company unclogged and left, he took the time to explain some things and had me turn on all the water to make sure it still wasn't plugged. I'll definitely use them again if needed. read more

Thai ("Vo" on his t-shirt) and Thanh were amaaaaazing...! I had them come down because both toilets and showers were clogged due to a poor design a previous plumber did to my house. Not only did they clean out my drains, but they also replaced my old piping system with a new and more innovative design. It was truly fascinating. Even better, the replacement parts come with a 90 day warranty. I told them my price range and what I wanted done. They were extremely flexible with me and worked with my budget. I've had at least 4 different plumbers come to my house to do done fixing and I was surprised that these guys were very knowledgeable and confident in what they do. They made me feel at ease when I was stressed out. Awesome guys! Definitely calling them from now on with all my plumbing issues. Ask for Thai and Thanh! read more

My shower drain was completely clogged this morning. Called Local Rooter & Plumbing at 10:30AM and they actually answered on a Sunday morning. They are really open 24/7. The appointment was for 12-2pm and Duy came right at noon sharp. He snaked the drain and was done in less than 30 minutes. He was courteous and took off his shoes in the house (asian household). Duy also inspected the pipes in our crawl space to make sure everything else was ok and gave us some maintenance tips. Can't recommend them enough. read more

So I am updating this review because after seeing the details of my dissatisfaction Duy showed up at my office trying to redeem himself. He was the first one to walk in the door this morning. He apologized that the guy he sent or referred us to was not with his company and he didn't know the guy decided not to show up. He was extremely apologetic and did the repair at no cost to us in order to make up for the inconvenience. He also guaranteed it for a year on top of everything! It takes a big person who really cares about his business to show up like that and try to make it right. I would definitely be calling him for any of my future commercial and home plumbing needs! Thanks Duy you are a great businessman!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

They are doing really good job. I expected that it will take several days to fix the water main pipe which was broken suddenly. They came up in a couple of hours after the request, and finished to replace the pipe in one day, which is unexpectedly great! The price was more expensive than expected but provably it was the reasonable market price for this kind of big job. It was worth to pay. read more

What can I say about these guys, especially Trieu (our plumber). They saved our day after we had a clog in our main line in the early evening. He was thorough, patient and easy to work with on helping us to get the line cleared. He explained things and was knowledgeable on the work that needed to be done. What was especially awesome was how freaking clean and organized he kept his truck! We've all had a plumber, electrician, etc. come out with a crazy disorganized truck that they spend a long time looking for that one tool! Not Trieu, he was very efficient with what he was doing cause he wasn't wasting time to look for that one thing. They are on our contacts list of people to work with again!! At the end of the day pricing was fair, going above and beyond what any roto-rooter type of company would do and they are a small local family business!! So happy to have found them!! I'd recommend them with no hesitation. Thanks guys for your work!! read more

I found my water heater pipe leaking at 11pm on a Friday night and they were the only 24 hour plumber that answered their phone. He showed up in less than 30 minutes as promised and fixed the problem in a half hour. Duy is a very nice, professional and took the time to explain to me about the different water heater parts. I will call him again when it's time to replace the water heater. read more

Tony was extremely responsive and prompt when it came to our "emergency". We had a main line backup and Tony showed up on a weekend within a couple of hours. The issue turned out to be larger than we thought and it ended up being a week-long project. Tony and his team worked through the 40 degree rain during a holiday weekend to make sure they completed everything on time. I've worked with plumbers in the past who would've definitely taken the day off due to weather. Not Tony's team...they set up pop-ups and pushed through. Another bonus was their 1 year warranty on all repair work. I highly recommend Local Rooter and would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

We had a leak from the ceiling in our garage. My wife found this Plumbing company through Yelp. I called and Tai showed up within an hour! I had called two other 5-star rated companies the other days but they were either busy and one never returned my call. Tai was courteous and straight forward. After assessing the leak, he showed me the cause of the problem and gave me a reasonable quote. He fixed the problem and finished the job within a few hours including replacing the ceiling with new sheetrock. I was very pleased with Tai. He was very conscientious about his work but most of all I felt he was honest and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend this family-operated company. Thank you Tai, Great job! Duey was awesome. I was away for work in another city while major plumbing issues were going on at the home front. At 12:30 in the morning, Duey made it out to my house, handled the problem and had everything up and running again in a matter of a half an hour. He was professional, courteous and even texted me photos of the issue and the what was causing the problem. He also offered helpful solutions to future problems. I highly recommend Local Rooter & Plumbing and would give 10 stars, if possible! read more

We had the toilet and bathtub overflow. Called these guys at 10 30 pm and the gentleman sent someone out in an hour. Pretty impressed with the knowledge of the plumber that came out. Fixed the problem in an hour and gave us a thirty day warranty. Their pricing is pretty decent as well. Very impressed by the work the guy did and he was very pleasant as well. Definitely recommend! read more

Yelp said 100% response rate and 10 min response time but I messaged this company twice (in 3 days) and never heard back

Came on short notice. 5 star customer service. Would recommend to anyone that needs their kitchen sink to work again from clogs.

I came back to SJ to visit family from NYC and was staying at my cousin's house. It was late at night, probably around 11:30 PM when sink stopped working and my toilet as well. I didn't know how to fix it myself and was looking for a plumbing service that was open late at night. I ran across these guys on Yelp and decided to give a call. They came at the time they said they would (about 30 minutes) and went straight to work. I have to say, these guys are very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. In less than an hour my problem was fixed and they even told me the reason why I had my problem as well as giving me advice and suggestions for future issues. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about these guys. I would definitely recommend to my friends or anyone else. Thank you so much! read more

We had and quick response from Duy Nguyen, who was very efficient, reliable and very professional! Coming home Saturday night, we find that the water heater leaking (thank goodness it just seem to have just started) in the garage. We panicked because Sundays businesses are usually closed, but luckily YELP has a button that allows you to find business that are open. After reading through all the possible plumbers we came up with our top three, to make the long story short...Duy was the fastest responder, gave quick information and the most reasonable estimate (final price)!!! He was able to replace, and fix the new heater the next moring...YEAH we have hot water!! If I have plumbing problem again...Local Rooter & Plumbing is who I'll get!!! read more

Excellent and honest service. Discovered the water main line was leaking after receiving a huge water bill. It was a Sunday when we called around for someone to come and give a quote but no one had any availability. After a quick phone call, I texted Duy our address and he came at the promised time that day! Gave us a reasonable fair quote and started that day! It was a pretty big job and included getting a city permit and inspection but everything was handled by them. They even filed a fee credit application with the city to help get back the charges caused by the leak. Hopefully I won't have to call them for anything else, but if for some reason I have a plumbing issue Duy will be my first call. read more

Outstanding response and professional, high-quality service from Duy Nguyen and his team to our plumbing emergency is reason #1 for my 5-star rating on Local Rooter & Plumbing. Turns out our plumbing emergency was the result of shoddy work done by our regular plumber. Apparently, shoddy work will indeed cause pipes to burst and extensive water damage. Who knew? Not our previous plumbers.. Which brings me to reason #2 for the 5-star review. The team at Local Rooter & Plumbing not only fixed the plumbing emergency, but also provided an excellent, low-cost fix to the other plumber's botched job. Needless to say, Local Rooter & Plumbing are our new plumbers. Well worth the 5-star review! read more

Called with a blocked mainline in the home during the weekend. Got a prompt response. Price and time were communicated clearly. The plumber came ahead of appointment time by a few minutes, rechecked if the situation was assessed correctly, restated the process and price before getting started. Overall, very satisfied with the service read more

Addressed my shower leak issue on first visit at a fair price. Had available parts in van to make for a quick repair. Provided lots of feedback/thoughts on the repair, how it could have happened, how it can be prevented in future, and other useful information. read more

Very good service. Especially from their feild manager Duy Nguyen. Would definitely recommend and use their services in the future

Got a toilet backed up and in need of a plumber urgently. Found Local Rooter & Plumbing on yelp and gave them a call. Despite his busy schedule, Duy was at my house in 1 hour. He was friendly and professional. He was very good at his job and took care of the problem in no time. He was also very knowledgeable in general plumbing as I had a few other issues in the house and he was quick in providing the root cause and available solutions. Since his schedule was very packed and I did not book time for the additional items, I will be making an appointment with him to come back to work on the other items. Overall, a very pleasant experience. read more

We had a backed up sink that we couldn't unclog so we called Local Rooter and Plumbing. They came out today (Saturday) and charged us the same price as they would on a weekday. They also found that we needed to have a hydro jet kitchen line clean out or they would have to keep coming back. They called the team that could do the clean out and they came within an hour. They were all very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. They even told my bro-in-law how to fix something else they found needed fixing! These guys were great! We will definitely use them again! read more

These guys are lifesavers, and just generally REALLY great people. After our water heater stopped working, we contacted another plumber who turned out to be really shady and tried to scam us into spending a thousand dollars to fix a $400 heater which turned out to still be under warranty! Thankfully Local Rooter came to the rescue once we started shopping around for second opinions. They sent a guy out who took one look at the heater and told us that it was probably still under warranty, and to only call him to come back if it turned out not to be. The consultation was completely free, and he even showed me how to shut off the gas for safety. I contacted the warranty company, and they sent us a replacement part. I don't trust myself to handle replacements like that, so I contacted Rooter to do it for me (plus I really wanted to give them the business after they'd been so nice). Unfortunately it turned out to be the wrong part, but Rooter AGAIN refused to charge us for coming out, even though they had done over an hour of work. Eventually we did get the right part, so Rooter came out a third time to do the replacement for us. The water heater is now working great, and the charge for the work was more than reasonable considering how much time they'd put into the job over the course of a week. These guys have my business for life, I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Duy is very reliable. Our outdoor water pipe broke at Sunday evening. I called him and he came to my place. He diagnosed it and advised us to wait his work next day so that we didn't have to pay extra cost. He came back to work next morning and finished it as he promised. I will ask him again when we have water problem in the future. read more

Short version: Call these guys. Trieu called to tell me he was running late and offered to wait for me if I needed to go out. He got here before his adjusted time and when it turned out that no work was needed he smiled and said "I didn't really do anything so no charge." In case it helps someone out there dealing with a water heater pilot light - you have to get really low to the ground and look up into the heater on my model to see the pilot. Yep I know it's a bad pun but Pilot Error. read more

I got a problem at home that sewage-alike smell came out from AC/Furnace vent. I called my regular plumber who has no idea what happened. So I searched up Yelp and found Local Rooter & Plumbing and decided to have a try. Duy picked up the call immediately and agreed to send technician the same day. Paul showed up earlier than scheduled and he was so great! He carefully checked house and diagnosed the problem. And talked to me about why it happened. I did what he told and waiting for two days and now the odor seems gone! So appreciated! I will ask Local Rooter & Plumber for all future plumbing work! read more
