Recently used Local Movers for a cross town move. Got off to a slightly rocky start as they had a broken down truck which delayed the job by 3 hours. However once they got there they absolutely rocked. Did an amazing job moving my furniture for my 1BR apartment. Courteous, professional, fast, took very good care of my belongings, and did it all on a day that tied the all time hottest day in Palm Springs recorded history. We scheduled an afternoon appointment to move/rearrange our furniture. $150 deposit was requested. We declined and told we would need to pay cash. OK. 1/2 hour after appointment time no one had shown. Called and was told that the movers would be delayed until 5:00 PM. Would call or text if sooner. By 5:30PM no show. This time, no answer to our call. Message left. Hour or so later, owner called to let us know that the movers had trouble with their truck and would be able to come the next day. Set up appointment. Movers and assistant showed up on time. Juan and Victor did a great job rearranging and Moving furniture from several rooms. Very patient with placements and replacements. Excellent service!! Fernando went "above and beyond" in helping me move. They were short one truck AND the other guy who helps him was out also. It was now approaching evening and there I was sitting in the middle of my whole life "packed up" needing to get into my new place that night so instead of forcing me to wait another day which would have been awful for me, Fernando did the whole move ALONE (and this was from a second story stairs-only condo) like some kind of superhuman. And he was so FAST! Not only did I have a FULL truck of stuff but he also went with me to my storage unit afterwards to get MORE stuff, not ending til it was dark - about 9 pm. Sold our home and needed to move lots of large paintings, extra heavy (300#) tools, miscellaneous crap and boxes. Can't believe they were able to get it all in one trip. They used a 26 ft. truck and filled it to the brim. These guys were extremely helpful and blanketed all items to insure safe moving. Very professional, friendly, and delightful to work with. We were moving from Palm Springs to our house in Rancho Mirage. Our closing dates were about 2 weeks apart so we needed a mover that could also provide storage service. I contacted 3 movers for estimates and Local Movers was not only able to meet our dates but offered a fair price for both moving and storage. Agree with the reviews here. Frank the owner of Local Movers is excellent at moving. He and his crew were fast and organized. They protected all the more fragile items very well. One of his guys has skills in dismantling beds and other items and put them back together at your new place. They helped me place rugs and more. Prices are very reasonable. Frank recycles boxes and packing material so if you are on a budget he will loan them to you at no cost and then pick them up later. Frank and crew are easy to work with. He is a great guy has lots of energy, very strong and is amazing at fitting your items in the truck. It's similar to a puzzle and he has an eye for getting a lot in snug and protected. Local Movers was a godsend! I had to move my father's entire 1 bedroom apartment out of an assisted living community with very strict and draconian covid-19 regulations. I called Frank on a Sunday and he had movers available for me the following morning. Fernando and Jerry arrived and complied with the facility's strict PPE requirements of masks and gowns. They packed up all of my dad's belongings safely and cleared out the entire apartment. My father has expensive medical equipment including a customized electric wheelchair. They were very quick to unload everything into the new location and helped with placement of items in certain areas and even helped me move a refrigerator from the garage into the kitchen. All of this was done in 100 degree Coachella valley heat they were always 100% professional. I would 100% recommend Local Movers and I would without a doubt use them again! read more

We are so pleased and thankful for the amazing job Frank and Julian did for us! We had two extremely heavy glass tables to pack/move, and they were able to accommodate us on very short notice. They knew exactly what to do with the packing and protection of these heavy glass tables, and then securely rachet-tied them into our rented cargo truck. We then had a 4-hour drive home, and were absolutely thrilled and relieved to see the tables in perfect condition when we reached our destination. My wife and I are truly grateful for everything Frank and Julian did for us.
