My daughter and I came in to check out what they had. I saw a rack in the middle with tee shirts on sale for $15. Original price was $30. Not bad. I ended up buying a burgundy colored shirt that says Local Motion on it in small letters. I remember my husband used to buy me stickers from the store. I love this brand. They sell a lot of cute clothing especially some Hello kitty stuff like the skateboard I posted. So cool. So worth the splurge and definitely check out their sale items. Customer service here was nice. The lady behind the counter explained that there are no returns on sales items because it's final clearance. Store was clean inside and everything was organized. Located on the upper level, next to T&C Surf Designs, Local Motion has the nicest employees and a great selection of name brands like: Hurley Billabong O'Neil Quiksilver There are a lot of t-shirts, shorts, flip flops, tote bags, towels, surf accessories, etc. to choose from! I had purchased some shirts last year and the size wasn't right. The normal exchange policy is within 90 days. However, they let me get a different size and I gladly paid the difference! We walked into the store at Windward Mall on 8/31/2024 around 3:30pm, and there were 3 employees there not helping anyone talking amongst each other. They looked at us and didn't say anything. My daughter wanted to buy a hoodie, but we never bought anything due to their poor customer service. Next door at T&C it was the complete opposite. We got greeted by more than one employee. We probably won't be going back to that location. Perhaps the Ala Moana Local Motion will be better. It's unfortunate that they cannot even say anything to us, even after we walked back in a 2nd time to look at the hoodies again! Maybe it was the T&C bag we were holding!! lol read more

I love this place. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and they carry YETIs. Lol!!! I don't like crowds much so being able to go here to get quick gifts or something for myself is so convenient. No walking through the entire mall to get to one store. read more

Good customer service, and good sale prices. They usually always have correct sizes. They have a fair amount of merchandise, and I can usually find what I am looking for. The sale staff is always friendly and helpful. Around the holidays they have good sales. It is worth a stop if you are at the mall. read more

I bought a Christmas gift at this location and the person I gifted it to wanted a different color. I returned to this store with the gift receipt to exchange it for another color but was refused by the employee working. She said because I had removed the Local Motion price sticker I couldn't exchange it. Who gives a gift without removing the price sticker? That is tacky AF. I will never make another purchase at Local Motion. This is the worst customer service ever. Shame on this company read more

Customer service is top notch at this location. I come here often & I have yet to meet someone who wasn't cheery or helpful. The girls even hung out on the floor playing with my 3 year old one time while I shopped around & tried on a few items. I have also found a small hole in a Hurley top I really wanted to purchase. They immediately offered me 15% off if I wanted that shirt today or they could have a new shirt delivered to the store within a few days. I'm impressed with the service here, which makes me a returning customer, for sure! The staff is one of the best retailers I have ever seen. Great place for surf clothes and stickers but I jus wish they had more variety on brands such as RVCA and Hurley. I believe they don't have Volcom clothing as well. They do have promotions and deals. read more

Worst customer service ever. Went in there to grab wax and the two girls didn't even say "hi" or to see if I needed any help. The two girls were just looking at their iPads behind the counter. Went in there looking to buy wax but saw a pair of boardshorts that I wanted and I also some some Hawaiian Style t-shirts. But after the girls didn't acknowledge me at all I decided to go to T&C for my wax and put back the boardshorts. So sad!! read more

I walked into the store to look for a backpack for my daughter. The store was completely empty with customers. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I stayed for about 5 minutes with the intent of buying the backpack. When I looked to see where the sales people were, I saw two young ladies behind the register, back facing me, looking down at what may have been a cell phone? I placed the bag back on the rack & decided to leave. They didn't even notice me. I ended up going right next door to T & C surf and bought the backpack there. As I walked past Local Motion, I looked through the window and the two salesgirls were in the same position. They could have made a sale when I was there. $47 worth. Too bad. read more
