This place is the best by far!!!! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about what to eat !! I was told to try the birria tacos but the waiter said they had sold out, so the manager came to the table and said don't worry I gotcha and 15 minutes later I had the best tacos I've ever had don't believe me try them for yourself!!! This is definitely a hidden gem in Germantown. If you have not been you definitely should. The ambiance was very modern and modest. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh. I ordered the guacamole thinking I would have it for myself because my wife is not a fan and she tastes it and ends up eating more of it than I did and even brought the remainder home. Tonight was my wife and my's first time eating here. I think it is new. Now the wait was long. But the food made it worth it. I got the Fresco Bowl. It was great. It was like a chipotle bowl with pickled onions. There were so many different tastes in the bowl. It was really busy. Once we got seated, it took the waitress about 5 minutes to get to us. We didn't think we would see her for a while so we ordered the food while we ordered our drinks. 5 minutes later our food and our drinks came. (This was fast to me). The service was great - our server was attentive, despite being extremely busy. Food was so disappointing - there has been so much hype about this restaurant. The guacamole tasted like the pre-made at Costco. We shared the beef quesadilla and the chicken enchiladas. The beef had such a strange and unpleasant flavor. This was my first time visiting and there was at least a 30-45 min wait. I was able to grab a seat while I waited at one of the bar tables which wasn't being used for service. I'm not sure why these tables were not being used but if they were it definitely could have provided more seating and maybe a lesser wait time. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. Once I was seated I have no complaints. The server Hannah was wonderful. The food was great. The guacamole was good but the queso was awesome. For my entree I ordered the birria quesadilla and it was perfecto. It came with a broth for dipping. My BFF ordered the shrimp quesadilla and the shrimp were seasoned very well and were a good size. I ended up trying their Two-Step margarita and it includes jalapeño and was spicy so if you do not like spice steer clear. It wasn't my fav but that's just my opinion. Food was tasty! The ambience is super cute! However, they need to hire more people..service was horrific! Took over an hour to get our entree, took another 30-45 min to get silverware, took another 35 min to get check and to go boxes. The chips and queso were good! I'd get the verde salsa again but not the mango or tres chiles! The fresco bowl was yummy but I asked for shrimp not chicken! We came on a Sunday afternoon, they were pretty busy but we got seated right away ! Love the decor of the place it looks nice and clean. It wasn't to loud like most restaurants can be . We ordered a trio of salsa, our server Landon suggested three and we chose what he said to! He was very informative with every question we had. Husband got the tuna taco and really liked it as well as the carnitas taco! I got the Bria quesadilla it was so good! We can't wait to come back and try other things ! read more

Editing to add one star back for customer recovery efforts. After emailing with their representative, she apologized and has since refunded my meal. She offered to send me a gift card as well to return for a better experience in the future. Arrived early (shortly after opening) for a solo lunch. Thankfully, I enjoy eating trying new restaurants by myself without hubby and kiddo. If I was not as confident dining alone, I would have likely left before even being seated. Of the FIVE people standing at the host station, no one knew where to seat me (in an empty restaurant) and made sure to announce I was "alone, just one, by herself" three times before deciding where to seat me. Waitress was delightful and friendly. Food was fine - tasty, large portions (except the small margarita lol) and plenty to take home. The runner that brought my food also inexplicably needed to mention that I was dining alone, saying "I was going to ask who got the quesadillas but it's just you here by yourself so I guess it's yours." They say they make their guacamole in house daily, but I was served brown guacamole with my quesadilla - 15 minutes after opening, I wouldn't expect to see that. Hostess that didn't know where to seat me eventually came to seat two people in the table next to me. She then asked me to move over to give the two people more privacy. Uh, we're all sitting in the same wall booth, lady. I didn't want to change seats, so I said I'd stay where I am. Shortly after, I asked to box up the rest of meal to go. One of my new favorite resturants in Germantown!The place was packed when I entered, was told my wait would be an hour and a half, but I was sat within 30 minutes of putting my name on the waitlist. Had the salsa flight and queso blanco for appetizers, both were great. Ordered the quesabirria quesadilla for my main course which was amazing, super flavorful and the consommé to dip it in was great as well. My only complaint is that the margaritas were pretty weak, I can excuse the speed of the drink service since half of the city was in there at the time. Will definitely be back soon. read more

I can't figure out how to eat here. I wanted to have lunch on a Friday and called to make a reservation. They don't take reservations but I was told you can call to be added to a waitlist. So the morning of my Lunch I called at 10:30 to be added to the waitlist but they said they didn't have a wait so no waitlist. But when we showed up at 11:45 they had a 45 minute wait. Huh? They said I should just call every ten minutes or so, which is ludicrously inefficient for patrons and staff. Fast forward to tonight. I begrudgingly agree to go with a group and said let's call to be added to the waitlist. So I call and they said I had to physically be there to be added to the waitlist. Huh? Run your business how you choose but please be consistent and communicate it. If it's this hard to eat here, I can skip it. Good luck with those that can sit for an hour for tacos. read more

I worked in restaurants for 20 years and have longed for a spot close to home in Germantown, TN. Local Lime has more than delivered. In 10 days of being open we have dined here 4 times. Twice in the dining room, and twice at the bar. My kids are obsessed and my wife and I have made it our go to date night. I love all of the salsas and will slowly make my way through the whole menu. Their Paloma is true to form and my wife loves the Texas 2 Step margarita satisfies with a balance of sweet and spicy. read more

We luckily got in within 25 minutes (which is the time we were told) since we went a little after the lunch rush crowd. Since they are new and don't take reservations, I wouldn't recommend going during prime time.
