This place is to die for! You have to try this place and get their brisket taco. It melts in your mouth! Such a great spot for a quick bite to eat or to sit a while and have brunch! Great service. The bartender was so nice as well. The drinks were amazing. I can't wait to be back. I love their presentation and the quick service. Their Mexican street corn is like no other. I'll be back to try their fish tacos since they were out of cod that day. I'm sure it will be just as delicious as the others I have tried.

This was our first time and we were very pleased! We sat outside enjoying the crisp fall air as we sipped our frozen margaritas which were strong! Our server was Cara and she was kind, knowledgeable and provided great service. The queso was fresh & hot, the smash burger taco was delicious and the fish taco was just as tasty. My husband had the fried chicken tacos and raved about those as well! I was interested in the churros but I was too full. We'll definitely return to try more of the menu!

I don't honestly know how we've managed to miss this great little place in Cordova. The interior has a hip vibe, and our server was very friendly. We really enjoyed the unusual mix of the offerings and ordered 5 different types of tacos - don't hate, but the cauliflower ones are really good! My husband especially enjoyed the brisket. The corn riblits are over the top. That sauce is to die for! I really only have two complaints. The food is good, but I think it is overpriced. I also wished they would offer a crispy taco option.

The food and drinks were very tasty and well seasoned. The melting of southern American cuisine and the Oaxaca, Mexico fusion is something you don't see often, but it just works so well! The steak and potato quesadilla was on point and the cheese pull was so satisfying! My only gripe was that it was way too busy for there to only be one server and one bartender during the brunch hours. They are a popular restaurant so, they should look at hiring more staff to lessen wait times and delay for service. Overall a good experience.

Incredible! So much flavor, absolutely delicious. My spouse dined in for lunch and loved it so much he ordered to go for me to try. (Photo on my own plate at home). Will definitely be back - it gives Maciel's a run for their money!

Some friends and I went here a couple of nights ago. We have wanted to try this place due to the reviews of the tacos online. We ordered Queso, and all of us ordered the fish tacos. Got some margaritas to go with the meal. The food was very bland and lacked flavor. If I closed my eyes, I wouldn't have known what type of spice or fish I was eating. The queso dip was grainy, and chips were oily. The service was lacking. One person was working the front and the bar. It seems that if you wanted faster service, the bar was the place to go. Secondly, the cook was also the server. When he approached our table, he started complaining he was ready to go home and get off work. I thought that was unprofessional. The ambiance was just blah. It looks like an open warehouse with tables and a bar. Lacks decorations or if it's really a taco spot. This is what I ordered in the pictures. The old fashion tasted like a straight shot of Whiskey and the blackened catfish tacos.

Round 2 was a worth it! I said I was going to go back to try this spot again and I'm glad I did. I told the bartender Ty about my first experience and he was basically like "say less, I got you!" This time I had a spicy margarita, the steak & potatoes taco, the albondigas & collards taco and fries. Last time had to be an off day because my food was literally perfect this time. I see they do brunch now and there is a lunch menu so I'll be back! (The customer service was great and it was really clean in there too.)

From food, service, to ambiance I highly recommend El Mero Taco. The taste is flavorful... just think southern twist meets Mexican authentic dishes. The portions were filling, which is excellent. This is what I had: smoked brisket bowl which had guacamole sauce, cilantro lime rice and black beans, and a blackened shrimp taco with a flavorful salsa on top. I had a mezcal passion fruit cocktail list that Layla made so beautifully. Get a chance to meet Roosevelt as well, he will give you the run down on some great wine selections. I will definitely be back.

I love El Mero Taco ! Every time I go there everyone is friendly and are happy to help you. They are knowledgeable about the menu and can also make any drink you want. I love the Paloma cocktail ,southern fried chicken taco, soup and the Smoke habanero shrimp taco! 10/10 recommend! Rate Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Value 4/5

Seems there's some weird disconnect going on I wasn't aware of... This location is now going by Las Mexicanos instead of Los Comales. Looks like almost all new staff too, that could definitely use some Customer Service training. The menu has a 3rd name on it that seemed off as well. I was not told to come to the hostess stand to be seated, no friendly greeting when I did approach the stand. Once seated, the chip & salsa dude was quick enough in dripping them off w/out so much as a greeting. Maybe he's the silent type? Who knows? 2 Now the real wait begins.... Nothing to drink nor any sign of anyone even slowing down @ my table to take a drink order. Maybe they were fighting to see who would take my order? ‍ I was almost finished w/the basket of chips, decided what I wanted and LAID THE CLOSED MENU on the other side of the table close to the edge, hoping someone would notice. I had decided if they couldn't be bothered to come by the time I finished the chips I was leaving. Magically a waitress finally shows up w/3 chips to spare. Placed the order for water and dinner at the same time. Dinner came out quickly but looking pitiful w/barely a full tablespoon of guac, tomatoes or sour cream. Cheap bastards! The flour part of the chimichanga was NOT CRISP, & I was given plastic utensils to maneuver this sad plate. I have eaten here MANY times as I live in the area so I am more than disappointed w/this experience. Not a single customer sitting in the middle @ the 4-tops & @ least 7 booths empty; on a Saturday night @ 8:00 pm. Sad that they have lost so much business, I'll think twice before considering spending my money here again.

Campechano Burrito (4/5; steak strips and chorizo with rice, beans, lettuce, onion, tomato, and jalapeño): Steak and chorizo are always a winning combination, and this burrito did not disappoint. 3. Chirucas Chimichanga (4/5; two medium chimichangas stuffed with rice, beans, cheese dip, and your choice of meat, served with lettuce, pico de gallo, and sour cream): I chose the grilled marinated pork (al pastor), which was flavorful and satisfying. The server mentioned that the chicken version is their favorite. The service was decent overall, though it could be slow at times. I noticed a few tables waiting a while before servers came to take orders or refill drinks, and my drink was empty for a bit before getting a refill. Sometimes improvisation pays off, and this cocktail was proof. The salmon was also excellent. I ordered it prepared the original way instead of the new menu version that includes Brussels sprouts, and it was exactly what I was craving. One of the highlights of the visit was an unexpected surprise from our waiter, who brought us a sample of their avocado ice cream.
