Invoice also adds 4% surcharge for the default credit card payment. Charges 8.5% taxes on the entire cost (should be on parts only, labor cost taxes excluded). read more

The technician, Micheal Guthrie, was an hour and a half late. He showed up stating that he "didn't know what he was here for" I had a coupon for a $95 lube and tune. The coupon states "no service call required. No hidden fees" I wanted to pay with cash and asked if I could do so before we proceeded. He said that was fine and that I was get a small discount for paying with cash. He quoted me $171 for the lube and tune. I should have sent him away but I had been waiting for him for a long time and just wanted to get it over with. He also tried to upsell me on the rollers for the doors at an additional cost of $300 but I declined. He finished the job, it took him about 20 minutes. I handed him cash, but he said he couldn't give me any change. So I used a card. He didnt say that there would be a charge fot using a card. But when i got the invoice via email i noticed that he charged me $10 for using a card. I called the company to voice my opionion about this. The woman i spoke to was dismissive and a little rude. The service was outstanding. They answered to phone when I called and came to my house the first thing the next morning. I had the springs, rollers and the seal replaced. However, the prices for the repair parts were excessively high. For example, the seal on the bottom of my garage door cost me $16 per foot of seal. The door is 16 feet wide, so the charge was $256. My guess is that the seal cost them less than $20. I would use them again if I had to get the garage door fixed ASAP. But if the repair could wait, I would shop around for better prices. read more

We have had issues with our garage door and had it replaced a few months ago, then worked on again by a second company only to have the issues continue. Finally put in a service request with Local Garage Doors and our door is fixed and the install issues from the previous company are now resolved. He explained what the issue actually was, didn't overcharge and was friendly and quick to boot. Our garage door was making a crazy noise and we were afraid it was going to break while our cars were inside or worse fall on top of someone. So, we called local garage doors and they came out the very next day and helped us a brand new door that same day. We did have to call them the next day to make a couple adjustments on the door and they were there within a couple of hours. One of our garage door springs snapped and I thought I'd give my friends at Local Garage Doors a try again since they were great back in 2016. I'm happy to report that they once again earned 5 stars! The service was explained well and we ended up replacing both springs so that we wouldn't be stranded again when the other spring decided to break. Our technician was friendly and respectful and offered a warranty (but didn't try to upsell me on it). We ended up buying the warranty because we plan on being here for a while longer and having dealt with Local Garage Doors on our pervious home, I know I can trust them to honor what they say. read more

Our garage door warped so bad that it couldn't open on its own any more. The metal support cracked and the door itself was bending. We were told the people that installed the door (not LGD) installed the door incorrectly that cause tension. Our options were to buy a new door but LGD found a way to savage our original door. Customer service was top notch. With answered called, text notification with even a tracker to see the location of our tech. And our repair guy Johnny was very nice to me and my family. He explain things very well and did the job quickly. He was also proactive and was very thoughtful in trying to repair our damaged door because he understood our situation. I think prices is reasonable, but I just say customer service and labor was outstanding. I would use them again if needed. read more

Great service and very responsive. Came out same day I called. The reason for my problem made 100% sense to me the way it was explained. Unlike the estimate from Precision Garage Door. They wanted to replace springs and "see" if it fixed the problem first, then replace the opener. Had 2 guys out and neither could tell me why my garage door wasn't working. When this company showed up, he knew what the problem was right away. He had everything on his truck to replace and install immediately. Not a very good experience Told me he would not charge for a quote. Came over and before he even started to evaluate he said he would charge me $99 to troubleshoot the issue. I told him that I had already done that and the part that needed replaced. He said he would charge me $649 to replace the motor. I told home the motor did not need to replaced. He later said he did not have the part and that I would have to order the part. I asked what he would charge to install it. He said $249. Told him to send me the written quote. He left. read more

Did a great job and pointed out that our metal rollers in out door were warn out and they did replace them with new non-metal rollers. Our service estimator was Scott Muchow. My boy friend called for an estimate and Scott was here within an hour and provided the Estimate.
