We were looking to install a glass patio enclosure with a glass roll up door and Door Pros was recommended to us. We made our first contact in mid February, and they immediately came out to see the project and take measurements. A proposal was finalized (with the correct measurements) in a week and we put down the deposit, with the balance due upon delivery. We were told it would take approximately 7 weeks, and were expecting delivery in mid April. We followed up mid April to confirm delivery, and that is when things went completely sour. The Project Manager, Karen, finally returned the call around 4/29, indicating 7 weeks was not a reasonable timeline to be quoted, and it would be another 6-7 weeks. The first week of May, we received a communication that the manufactuer told her to follow up in a few weeks as the plant was behind in production. Around mid May, I was told the order was in transit and would arrive in Sacramento for delivery approximately 6/5 with the balance due upon delivery. We were doing the install ourselves. When the delivery driver arrived, we were having some discussion about the delay in delivery, and he told us this was timely, as another customer has been waiting 11 months for their order. The panels arrived wrapped from the manufactuer, and we were doing the install ourselves. Mid June, I notified Karen that the panels were a half inch too big. The calculations / proposal was correct, but the product received was not. We provided photos that Door Pros sent to the manufactuer. Around 6/19 we were told manufacturing received the photos and was trying to determine the best solution. On 6/23 I was told it would be an additional 6-7 weeks for replacement of a section of the panels. This was not an option because it would visually change a uniform look and we were concerned because initial delivery was already several weeks late. We proposed to keep the panels as is, and reframe, with reimbursement of costs. On 6/23 we communicated a cost, and began to reframe. Late June, Door Pros responded that they felt this was the fault of the manufacturer, and were looking to them to reimburse costs for reframing. We expressed to them that we made the purchase through Door Pros, and we should not have to wait for their subcontractor to decide if and when they would reimburse . On 6/27 we were told the manufactuer woulc reimburse 50% of my costs, and we looked to Door Pros to reimburse the remaining. They would not. They continued to state it was not their error and they were not responsible for THEIR sub. From 6/18 to 7/19, we made 8 phone calls, 6 emails, and two texts to follow up. Karen said time after time she is waiting for a response from her manager Laura on the remaining 50% reimbursement. Finally on 7/31 we were told we would receive 100% from their manufacturer, and they were working on when we would receive a check. On 8/18, I followed up again on the reimbursement check, and heard nothing until 8/31 indicating there was still no update. Through the first half of September, we continued to call, day after day, leaving message after message. We attempted to elevate the issue to their owners, but Door Pros will not give you any information on the name or contact information of their leadership team. We had to come to Yelp just to find out who owns this company. We left message after message for him, and never received a call back from anyone. At this point the Karen simply said she was not involved in any of these discussions on reimbursement. The first week of September, we called day after day. We called again the morning of 9/21 and Laura was unavailable. Finally we said, what do we have to do to get a return phone call - post our experience on every social media outlet? We called back the afternoon of September 21, and our calls from two different phones went directly to voice mail during business hours. At this point we determined our phone numbers had been blocked from being answered, as we had called them time after time from those 2 numbers. Then within minutes, we receive a text stating that a check was sent out on 9/21. That was a lie, because the morning of 9/22 we received an email of a posted credit to the credit card used to make the purchase. We spent 7 months dealing with these people, so proceed with caution if you use them. They're very fast to make the sale and will bait you with a shortened timeline, but you will be chasing them for months on delivery, or if there are issues. read more

We had one of our springs break Friday night. We called first thing Saturday morning and booked an appointment for 4PM. Got a call later that it would be closer to 6PM, but they assured us they were coming that night. No problem. Then got a call later saying it would be 7:30PM. At 7PM we got a text saying they were on the way. We called at 7:45PM and the tech said he was on his way home. He said he was texting with us and rescheduled. Which is weird because we texted us 45 minutes ago saying he was on the way. He told us he would be there by 10AM the next day. We hadn't heard anything by 9AM so we called him, no answer. Texted him, no answer. Eventually he responds and says they are sending someone else. That guy showed up at 10:30 and fixed the problem. Replacing two springs cost $950. He gave us a minor break in the price, since they were, you know, over 18 hours late. He was very nice. Delays happen, but it felt like they booked us for a time slot they couldn't meet. My garage door spring broke yesterday. I have a Home Warranty with American Home Shield who forced me to use one of their vendors which was Ace garage door company. They came out and told me that it would be $1600 just to apply and adjust and not counting the spring price. This is one of the few companies who will come to your house and help you order new garage doors. The staff is friendly and there is an Office with staff who answers the phone and can write emails; these seem to be very rare traits for home contracting companies. So I appreciated this. Unfortunately, Door Pros recommended we buy Clopay garage doors. Our Clopay doors came dented and with crooked windows. Installing the damaged doors with two new garage door openers took the staff multiple days, but they had to be installed so we had doors on our 3 car garage. Clopay then shipped the wrong replacement parts to Door Pros. Getting undented correct garage doors on our house has taken months. Back in the dead of winter we decided to replace our garage doors. things were booming with the economy and it looked like the good times would never end. Our home had the original metal doors which were installed in 1985 when the house was built. A couple months later, with the coronavirus now all the rage and the economy collapsing, our doors arrived. Laura, who I absolutely loved working with, scheduled us for two days of installation amidst the new social distancing and quarantine concerns. Frankly, I was worried that it may never happen because of the economic mess created by the pandemic. But Door Pros came through. The installation involved a new player. Gabe helped out on day 1 and then left Joe to finish the installation. Gabe was great, and Joe showed his artistry in the well executed and thoughtful installation. Joe is VERY GOOD at his job. If you call Door Pros and they send Joe you are indeed very fortunate. He completed the job by noon on the second day by programming every device that we put in his hands. MyQ took about 10 minutes to set up. It is a great tool to have in your pocket. To say that I would recommend Door Pros is an understatement. I am thinking about replacing my doors again so we can keep in touch. Laura recommended annual maintenance as a less spendy alternative, so we put it on the calendar for April 15th of 2021. Gabe came and did the original free estimate for both garage doors and openers. Very professional, came in lower than 3 previous estimates with more value. He also threw in a spring replacement of my existing door to get my by while I waited for delivery. A few months later, the door panels arrived (custom color, so they had to order them) and I received courteous and professional calls to schedule the install. On the day of, with my garage cleared out, Joe and Jason came in the morning to remove all my existing hardware (doors, opener, rails, and external molding) and install the new doors. The job started around 10am and they finished around 2pm, an hour earlier than estimated. They were quick, polite, professional, clean and thorough. Only hitch is they weren't provided with the matching vinyl molding color, so I'm waiting for that to be scheduled and installed.
