Johnny Cowan (tech from Local Garage Doors) came by on a Sunday (with no extra charge) and fixed the springs and the end bearing plates as those were worn out on our 14+ year garage door. He also lubed and checked all others parts thoroughly and helped answer our questions on the rubber insulation and other concerns. August 1 update: Local Garage Doors' own senior technician has now confirmed during a recorded…read moreinspection that this installation was incomplete and required substantial corrective work. The project took nearly three months and multiple visits. After obvious problems remained, their installer, Brendan, blamed the property's foundation and framing. We hired an independent garage-door company, which documented multiple installation deficiencies: - Safety sensors mounted 16-17 inches above the floor - An unlevel and misaligned door - Improper track and cable tension - Unprogrammed or nonfunctioning controls - Visible gaps and sealing problems Local Garage Doors itself confirmed in writing that the safety sensors should be no higher than six inches. The company also advised us not to operate the door until it conducted its own inspection. On August 1, Local Garage Doors sent Luca, one of its senior technicians. During the recorded inspection, Luca substantially agreed with the independent findings and estimated that the necessary corrections would take another two to four hours. Local Garage Doors later acknowledged in writing that Luca identified items that could be addressed and was prepared to perform corrective work. The company is nevertheless refusing a refund and arguing that its willingness to make those corrections should not be considered an admission that the installation was defective. That position makes no sense. A door requiring hours of re-leveling, adjustment, cable tensioning, safety-sensor correction, programming, and sealing work was not complete and should never have been marked or charged as complete. After months of delays, incomplete work, safety concerns, and constantly shifting explanations, we have completely lost confidence in this company. Another contractor will complete the repairs. Avoid Local Garage Doors.

Fast forward three years, and now the tracks are failing--no surprise given the original workmanship. The company's solution? A new quote for $1,800 to replace the tracks they should have installed correctly in the first place. This feels like a scam company with untrained employees, charging premium prices for subpar work and then coming back years later to charge even more to fix their own mistakes. I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone looking for quality or long‑term reliability.

They hire felons who drink on the job.When your not happy with their work the employee will drive by and harass you in the company vehicle. Go Pro sent me their Installation Manager, Troy to do the install on a Saturday, highly unusual, but my car was trapped inside the garage until the door could be fixed. He was very informative and helped me understand all aspects of the installation as well as all future additions and wifi applications for the New Garage Door Opener. The whole process took about 1 1/2 hours total including clean-up. I called late Sunday night not expecting anyone to pick up, to my surprise a nice young lady answered. She answered all my questions and had someone out to my house first thing the next morning as it wasn't an emergency. There was something going on with the motor and the chain was really loose. Bottom line, if you need roll up doors installed, Go Pro oughta be your first phone call. These guys are amazing! Had a bunch of problems with our previous commercial door installer- GoPro stepped right in and got to work! We paid them a good amount of money to fix it. After they "fixed" it, we noticed a weird sound every time we closed the door. Fast forward to this week, and our garage door broke again. The wheels came off of the track again. We called them back out, thinking some of it should be covered as they were the last ones to work on it. They charged us another $300. The entire time the tech was here, he was on a phone call, cussing and yelling at whoever was on the phone. He was irritated and was obviously not paying attention to what he was doing. The next morning - as we went to close the garage, it broke again. For some reason, the tech used one extra long wheel which caused the garage to go cock-eyed and go off the tracks again. We called them back out - and they said they wouldn't cover it because the break was due to needing new springs. They wanted another $700! Less than 24 hours after they "fixed" it!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We called CJ Garage - and they were fantastic!!!! Said we did NOT need new springs, and agreed that it was a total hack job. They actually fixed it for less than any of our payments to Haney!!! Haney is TERRIBLE.

He scheduled to come and fix it within hours. He replaced it with a Torsion Spring which is more heavy duty with a 5 yr warranty. It took him about an hour to fix my door. Very happy with it and would highly recommend this company.
