I knew there was dry wall cracking, however as I mentioned it wasn't to the extent of what is it now. The ceiling is not falling through. I had also mentioned to your technician that the roofer and home inspector had stated there was no water damage. The end point was that your technician did not need to flick off the dry wall for an evaluation. More damage does not help even if it was a Free evaluation. From the quote through the completed installation, this was a 5-star experience. Vince was highly accommodating when we had to make an unexpected schedule changes a couple of days before we were initially scheduled. Tony did a great job and was thoroughly explanatory about everything he had done and proper use and maintenance. I do almost everything mechanical around our house because I am very particular, and in most cases will do a better job than anyone I can hire. I could not have done a better job than Tony, and what he did in 4 hours would have taken me an entire weekend. It's not often when a service meets my expectations, but Tony actually exceeded them, and that's rare. HD would have been $2,700 with tax, delivered only. 1A removed and disposed of the old door, provided and installed a new R18.4 insulated Clopay door for a grand total of $2,950! The best $250 in labor I've ever spent. Call 1A if you need a garage door replaced or serviced. Between my mother-in-law, daughter and me, we have now used 1A four times and there's a good reason for that: they are really responsive (call back quickly, show up right when they say they will), qualified and honest. This last time, our garage openers were working sporadically. We knew it wasn't the motor since we could use the manual button just fine. It could have been the circuit boards given the age of the equipment, but the tech's boss suggested replacing the remote clickers with new universal ones. Good quality, honest customer service! I communicated over a year ago and Victor gave me a quote through messaging with a good ballpark number. Fast forward this week, and I met with Andres who was punctual and personable. I initially asked for a complete garage replacement, not having any clue about costs let alone garages. Andres could have easily told me everything needed to be replaced and charge me full price. Yet he was honest and told me my garage door and spring were still in good shape and did not need to be replaced. I could have and would have paid like a sucker if he told me otherwise!
