Delish plate lunch! I had the chicken and pork combo. Nice sized serving for $12.50. Mac salad was awesome and I don't usually like those.

I had the clams and mussels chowder and halibut cakes that weren't bad but the highlights were the crab dip with the French / Sourdough bread and the Huckleberry Lemonade . My wife had a ribeye that she said was decent. Our server was excellent. She made sure our meal met our expectations and kept checking in on us. We were surprised that we couldn't find more seafood restaurants for being on the coast.

They're not even trying to determine if their food and service is acceptable Missteps included: #1) Two different menus were given, one outdated with a special I wanted. Totally forgivable though #2) potatoes in bouillabaisse were so undercooked they were inedible. They made up most of the dish too. On the plus side, the broth and fish were well prepared. See photo #3) onions in the Hungarian mushroom soup were large, crunchy and near raw. #4) a main ingredient in my special salad was completely missing and it was impossible to find my wait person. Thankfully a bus person assisted, went to a manager, then the busser brought the ingredient to the table. #5) very poor timing of dishes brought to the table. Since there were few people dining I find this perplexing #6) we were never ONCE asked how things were, surprising especially since a manager knew of at least one misstep. The food was not awful, but the issues with the food combined with the "I don't care" wait staff and management in a pricy restaurant made it a NEVER AGAIN situation

No! This place was…read morereally disappointing. Came here based on reviews, but I. would caution anyone to steer clear of this place. It started with flat champagne drinks. That's just a fail, and it suggests a place that doesn't bother keeping things fresh. It kind of went downhill from there. We were looking for nice fresh fish and chips, wile we were out along the coast. We live near the coast ourselves, and are no strangers to good seafood. We decided to do the Cod and the Halibut fish and chips. While the halibut seemed fresh, the cod was waxy and looked old, and frankly i found it somehow mildly nauseating. I couldn't bring myself to teat it. The batter was crsipy, but lacked seasoning and tasted really flat (cardboard?). Aside from that, the coleslaw seemed pretty old soggy. Gross. Not impressed at all - some of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Some people may like this kind of food - but i will actively avoid this place the next time in Astoria. Hard pass. i'm nauseous just thinking back to my experience here. Could hardly get away fast enough...

The halibut was soft and wet rather than dry and meaty. The crab louie salad was underwhelming in both size and flavor. We spent over $60 and didn't feel like we got much. So what is the name of this place?

You can watch the bar pilots head out to navigate the ships to the Pacific. It was my birthday and somehow we got one of these special tables. Service was perfect. I didn't get anyone's name, but when we put my name in and came back at our call time, we walked in and the woman, walking through the restaurant, said, "Hey, Mindy." A nice touch. Our server was also just right. I got the Negroni melone because I'm a sucker for Negronis. It was decent, though it would have been much better with a gentleman's cube. The hubs got a blood orange cocktail that was really yummy. We started with the ricotta and preserved tomato crostini, which was excellent! Hubs ordered the sablefish and I ordered the ravioli with chard. Both were fantastic! The sablefish was exactly, perfectly cooked. It had skin on, but easy to eat without if you're not into that. Ah, so good! The ravioli was so delish! The only thing missing was a sip of limoncello at the end of the meal, which you'd receive in Italy, but otherwise deliziosa!

We heard that the place usually is very crowded and the wait can be long. So we tried to get there earlier for dinner. Positives: -the food was once again amazing. I can see why it's crowded and for good reason. The spot is a little smaller and probably the best Italian spot in town. We had meatballs last time, I remember it and it was hard to order something else this time. I got the lamb and my wife got beef ragu. We also ordered lasagna and the deviled eggs. -the prices were reasonable which is why we ordered so much. -the food was so good that we surprisingly finished everything we ordered. My lamb wasn't too gamey and the meat was extra tender. My pasta was a little undercooked. The lasagna was very meaty and it had an herby seasoning to it. I would say it's the best lasagna I've ever had. The deviled eggs were very good too and at a great price. You also get free bread which was also good. Negatives: -the wait might be long, but it's definitely worth the wait Overall 5/5 We will definitely be back on our next Astoria trip. It's a must for us.
