It was Sunday 6/16 and the USCG Eagle was in port for visitation, Father's Day and the Astoria Market. Did a lot of walking and were hungry. Had a cute outside area to sit and eat lunch. Jessica was wonderful and helped us with our choices, she was right on! The fish was hot, cooked perfectly and was SO FRESH. I had Hurricane Chowder and it was delicious, hot and was full of fish, crab, scallops and shrimp (of course there were potatoes). The flavor was fantastic!!! The beer was COLD. Watched the people, trolly and boats go by... Only con: was the outside tables needed to be cleaned, they were sticky. Thank you Jessica.

Wonderful food, staff were all friendly and courteous, and you couldn't beat the relaxing environment. Definitely worth the stop. My husband has the fresh cod and chips, and I enjoyed the smashing chowder. Crispy, yet soft bread bowl and all those extra seafood toppings were just perfection to me.

This place is a gem. I swear it's everything. The decor is EVERYTHING. Reminds me of an old coworker who collected everything and was such a vibe to be around. There is no sense to it, yet it makes sense hahaha. You have to check out the decorations, the bearded dragons were so fun for the kids to look at, the friendly super humble owner saw the kids and he took the dragons out for them to pet. It was so sweet. The food was great! Portions were just right!! The clam chowder is better than any SoCal by the beach chowder I grew up on. I loveddd it. I especially loved seeing the unique menu. Must come here!

    Awesome clam chowder!

First time here. Made a visit based on Yelper reviews. The selection was odd but in a good way! Our server was super nice and explained the unique menu (camel and kangaroo burgers?!). We loved the eclectic vibe and the live bearded dragon!

Clam chowder. Shared a bowl and our server brought 2 spoons not even asking!

Service was attentive and friendly Food was delicious. Fun spot don't be intimidated by the chaos of the decor

This place was highly recommended by the locals and we sat next to a couple that has been dining here for many years. They have a huge menu selection, if you like exotic meats this is the place to visit. I really enjoyed my clam chowder and bison burger all very tasty.

We had the frog legs (yum) amongst other things :) cool bar!

We have had nothing but excellent service and food each time we have been! The atmosphere is nostalgic, menu well thought and service the top! Definitely recommend and will certainly be going back. The newest team member is a great addition I might add :) - Lydia & Chris

This is by far the best clam chowder in Oregon. Way better than mo's or any other place. Huge portion really good price and is exceptionally good. They also have fresh fish for sale and everything else is really good as well. Super highly recommended.

View from my seat. Perfect day.

Fish and Chips (Rockfish), was tender, moist and delicious. Great outdoor seating options, music at a perfect level. Pricing was very reasonable at $15.50 for a ton of food. Finding the entrance is tricky, first walked in, and thought I was at the wrong business, (looks like you're walking into a bar). Service was spot on, you have to wait a little longer for the food, but we'll worth the wait as it is Fred.

Clam chowder - or was ok.. too much bacon, herbs and pepper overpowered the taste.

We had hoped to arrive when they open at noon but had to circle a bit to find parking so arrived closer to 12:25. It's a small place with just a few tables so by then it was a 30 minute wait. So we poked around town and got back around 12:50 and they were just calling our name. The menu sports all things seafood from fish tacos and fish and chips to ceviche and barn mi to crab cakes, crab cocktails and much more. We opted to share an order of the crispy pink shrimp and crab cakes (2 per order) followed by the unique fry bread topped with fresh Dungeness crab. Amazingly delicious! And so different. Would definitely recommend both items. It's a great spot for fresh seafood but try to get there early. At 1 when we were seated the wait had stretched to 90 minutes. Also they aren't able to accommodate group over six and are best suited to 2-4 people. If you are anywhere near-this place is a must.

No! This place was…read morereally disappointing. Came here based on reviews, but I. would caution anyone to steer clear of this place. It started with flat champagne drinks. That's just a fail, and it suggests a place that doesn't bother keeping things fresh. It kind of went downhill from there. We were looking for nice fresh fish and chips, wile we were out along the coast. We live near the coast ourselves, and are no strangers to good seafood. We decided to do the Cod and the Halibut fish and chips. While the halibut seemed fresh, the cod was waxy and looked old, and frankly i found it somehow mildly nauseating. I couldn't bring myself to teat it. The batter was crsipy, but lacked seasoning and tasted really flat (cardboard?). Aside from that, the coleslaw seemed pretty old soggy. Gross. Not impressed at all - some of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Some people may like this kind of food - but i will actively avoid this place the next time in Astoria. The Knot provided the perfect combination of both. The food was excellent! In particular, we absolutely loved the pickled rockfish, salmon chowder, salted chocolate caramel custard and house-made citrus NA ginger ale.
