We ordered two lobster rolls, two crab rolls, and the taco special. The food was prepared quickly, but once we opened the containers, the smell was immediately off--strongly reminiscent of spoiled seafood. It was unpleasant enough that we did not feel safe eating it. The odor alone was enough to stop us, and our instinct was clearly not to consume it. My husband returned to the restaurant to address the issue. The staff did not acknowledge a problem with the food and only refunded the tacos. There was no meaningful service recovery or attempt to resolve the concern regarding the lobster or crab rolls. We ended up discarding the rest of the meal and losing close to $100. Seafood freshness is non-negotiable, and unfortunately, this experience raised serious concerns. Based on what we encountered, I would strongly advise against ordering the lobster rolls or crab rolls here. Trust your instincts--if something smells wrong, it probably is. Lobster Dogs. Overpriced. Ordered take out tonight. The bartender was welcoming and sweet. I ordered the dog dip, not my favorite. I wasn't expecting packets of crackers with kind of a mix of stuff and called a dip. I had the grilled cheese with lobster. I'm not sure if the lobster was bad or something but I have felt sick ever since. It tasted 'okay' while I was eating it but a couple hours after and now(the next day) I'm still on the verge of vomiting. I hate to leave bad reviews, I really do. The lobster rolls were small and not flavorful. Nowhere near the quality you get with a roll in New England. Reminded of seafood flavors and texture lost once frozen Home made chips were stale and seemed to be made early in the day or the previous day. read more

I've heard of Lobster Dogs food truck, but was surprised to see they have a brick and mortar in Denver! It's been awhile since I've had a roll so I was excited to stop in. I got the standard roll and added Cajun butter. It was delicious. Nice big chunks of lobster meat and claw, just what I like. The restaurant is huge and has a pub inside. I did takeout and of course my order was ready in no time. There is plenty of seating though, both indoor and outdoor. Staff was friendly too. read more

The lobster rolls were $22 each and served on a piece of bread. Like a piece of toasted white bread, not even a roll. The lobster was good but definitely not worth the price. The beers were also expensive. The service was decent. The location is more like a bar than a restaurant. read more

Went Saturday around 1pm. Stuffed avocado was to ripe very hard and cold. If they would have grilled the avocado to make it soft and warm and seasoned!! On the right, the kitchen with posted menu boards on the wall and a cooler with beverages. On the left, a full bar with tables and stools and sports on TV. Out front, a few tables where you can sit with your dog or your smoke. Mrs. had the classic Lobster Roll, which is the usual toasted and buttered hot dog bun topped with lobster. For a first timer, I suggested "cold" and it was a good portion. Different than ones I've had in Maine and Massachusetts, this had less celery and less mayo. It was almost straight lobster and she enjoyed it. I chose the Cali Dog, which is also a lobster roll but is also topped with sliced avocado and bacon bits and a chipotle ranch sauce. It was quite tasty and delicious. Lots of other options and toppings from plain hot dogs to garlic butter and even onions/garlic/mozzarella. Tried Lobster Dogs for the first time. I've frequented Maine and this was a tough comparison. The lobster seemed a little rubbery for my liking. The bread was spot on good. I would like to see more variety of a Connecticut roll and traditional Maine roll. The service and vibe in the place was good and like that they have a pay it forward board. read more

Familiar with their Food Truck since it was a periodic feature at the Club House at Trilogy where we live. The Food Truck still exists but they have since added a Brick and Morter Restaurant on Highway Business 16 in Denver. Picked up three of four times at the Food Truck and always took it home and ate it there. We decided to try the physical restaurant last weekend and to dine in. Essentially the same menu but with the addition of Beer and Wine and a place to sit down and eat in peace. My wife had the classic Lobster Roll while since I love Avocado, had the Cali Roll. On the whole, a bit dry compared to what I am used to. Same for the Food Truck and I had hoped the Restaurant would be a bit more moist. Portion size is ample but still not worth the prices they charge for the items although there are less expensive items on the menu such as Crab Rolls and Shrimp Rolls. Let's put it this way. Good lobster, clean and inviting space- the free bird is a great lobster alternative. The loss of a star is due to the price not reflecting a FULL lobster dog- since the bread is not thick and filling and the lobster meat is not overflowing for the price. read more

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the lobster roll we had, but it's easy to describe. Imagine the size of a regular hotdog bun. The amount of lobster on the roll was a fair amount, not a lot, but not too little. The taste of the meat was good, sweet and fresh. The roll was served cold, which made me question the 15 wait when we were second in line to order. We had our roll at a festival and ate outside. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. Have gotten fare from Lobster Dog's food trucks before and was glad to hear they opened a brick and mortar in Denver, NC. My wife and I went for lunch to try it out and came away happy. We each got a lobster roll and then I had to try even more stuff so also ordered a crab roll and one of their new hot dog offerings, The Biff, which includes "dog dip", sautéed onions and Carolina sauce. Would always recommend the lobster roll and I thought the hot dog was a tasty menu addition. Crab roll though? Plenty of crab but it was essentially tasteless so will skip in the future. There's dine-in seating in the bar and a really nice selection of beers both bottled/canned and on draft. Service was nice, food came out fast and we'll definitely be back. read more

food was terrible so much garlic you would gag. I couldn't eat it. Ambiance was terrible, very noisy . food was served on plastic baskets, plastic forks and knives. no napkins, recycled paper towels. no ice tea, soda in cans no glasses. it wasn't cheap I would say was highway robbery. the waitress was the only bright light in the place, very nice and helpful. don't waste your money read more

Giving 2 stars because the workers were nice. We ordered 2 lobster rolls. Nothing comes with them. Just the rolls. And we were expecting them to be massive rolls. NOPE. Two hot dog sized buns with lobster meat inside. And they had no flavor. They give you melted butter. Still ZERO flavor. Tried Lobster Dogs out last night. First time. Saw an ad on Facebook about cheesesteak specials an 1/2 price wine. Wife said yes, so we headed out just after six. First, just a bit confused by the ordering counter. Guess they do a lot of take out? Guy said to head over to the bar and the bartender would take care of us. Bartender came over, got our drink order. The table had menus on, so we looked as we waited for our drinks. Drinks arrived and we ordered one hot lobster dog and one full size cheesesteak. Couple of minutes later the lobster dog arrived. It looked great, but the presentation...??..sitting on a dinky little throw away paper basket? This was a $19.00 sandwich!! Bartender never brought any utensils, plastic or otherwise, so we made do with our hands. A few minutes later, guy brings the cheesesteak over. Just that though...cheesesteak wrapped in aluminum foil. Boom dropped on the table. Again no utensils, and it wasn't even sliced in two. As we were finishing, bartender came by to ask if I'd like another wine, I declined and asked for the check. She dropped off the electronic gizmo, paid, tipped, and left. Conclusion. Service was OK. Food was good. Fresh, hot, good flavor. Just something wrong about spending just shy of $50.00 in a sit down brick and mortal restaurant and feeling like I just went though a drive thru where they forgot to give me utensils, plates, and condiments! read more

Went for dinner after work and super pleased with the food and service. Chris the owner was there and it was so nice learning more about the business. I tried both of the specials for the day and they were delicious. They also have a huge selection of beer, seltzers and wine. Please go try if you haven't been there yet.
