I visited the store looking for Plantropy Vegan Pepperoni. I found the store to be well stocked on produce, frozen and dairy. The store is also beautifully decorated for the holidays. There are several deals on the produce, great time to shop for the holidays. Plus I couldn't find the vegan jackfruit pepperoni, staff was very kind to show us around and help me find the section. The checkout section is pretty quick and the store is quiet in the mornings! Definitely better pricing than grocery stores in the area. read more

I stopped going to this Loblaws at 50 Musgrave a while ago because the management refuses to stock hand held baskets even though the head office said it is mandatory for them to do so. Today I decided to wander into the store and saw the most disgusting thing...two "ladies" were at the olive bar literally picking out olives with their fingers and eating them!! How gross! When I confronted them about it, they laughed it off. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend getting anything from the olive bar ever. read more

The worst Loblaws in all of Toronto and I can say this because I've shopped at all the other loblaws. The Maple Leafs location at Carlton/church and the one near Jane/Dundas are by far superior in management, product availability, knowledgeable and helpful staffs, and overall just a well oiled machine. The loblaws at Musgrave has expired items that remains on shelves way past its overdue date (from produce to baked goods and more). Staffs act like they work at Walmart, unable to tell you where things are, asks you to look for someone else to help with your request, and when you go to that next person, they're unable to help either. Wow! Big change at this Loblaws in the last month or so. They totally renovated the eastern end of the supermarket including the seafood and meat counters. They also redid the self checkout area. Check out the attached video to see what's changed. The Starbucks kiosk is now to the right of the doors near the flower store. On the left of the doors they have a massive prepared food / takeout area. Deli Meats, cheeses, fresh pastas etc all on the far left. The fruit and veggies are to the right of that and the bakery is still at the back but now they have a service counter where they have all kind of special cakes, cupcakes etc. The seafood is now to the right of where the bread products were and the meat is just beyond that. read more

Pharmacy, they do not answer the phone. The extension given by the system is wrong, takes you to florist who knows the issue. After three attempts pharmacist tells you you'll get a text when Rx is ready. 4 hours later no text. At pick up pharmacist says texts are not working right and it's a system issue. Things have changed, the pharmacy use to be good. read more

Hubby and I were looking for liquid smoke for some makerel and thought to try at Loblaw. I have never been to Loblaw and I was very impressed with their store. When we first walked in we saw a Starbucks, definite plus points here. Then there was the curving staircase that led to their second floor, which has dining tables that overlooked the layout of the store. Perusing the aisles I saw many specialty items that looked and sounded deliciously enticing. Took a look through their sales paper and noticed they had decent sales. Couldn't find what we were looking for and asked one of the staff. She couldn't help us, so she called someone else who could. This sweet older woman personally escorted my hubby to where they usually stock the item; they had a pleasant conversation on the way over. Found out that they were out of it, and since it's the end of the bbq season, wouldn't be ordering more. She apologized for the inconvenience. Friendly and helpful staff, lots of interesting specialty food items to try, and great sales: I will definitely keep Loblaws on my roster of grocery stores to visit. read more

So, this store is convenient as I live in the beaches but it's very dirty compared to Metro and Sobeys. The deli especially is not well staffed or maintained. None of the registers are ever open and self serve always has a line up and issues. I love how clean and well run Sobeys is and how well stocked Metro is. Price chopper across the street from Loblaws has vegetables for thirty percent less that are much better quality. Price point they are much more expensive unless you are an optimum card holder and want what's on special. Overall I prefer Sobeys. read more

They don't stock Bagel House bagels anymore. Booooo! Still a great store with GREAT clearance items up for grabs all the time. The rotisserie chickens here are MUCH better than Metro's, according to Mr. Rosie S. Still love me some Joe Fresh everytime I come here too. Unfortunately they lose another star because they have also stopped stocking my favourite variety of Philadelphia cream cheese, the Roasted Red Pepper. Those two factors combine to make me shop at Metro more often now. read more

Loblaws head office please answer this for me. Clients need to buy multiple items of the same product in order to save. On many products you advertise 2 for $6.00 or $3.49 for one , 5 for $5.00 or $1.29 for one etc etc etc.... People living alone or people living on a tight budget cannot afford to buy two of every item they need. You are simply trying to push volume and making more profits. They don't care that single (kidless people) park in the family parking and walk right in. Complained to management numerous times and basically was told there is nothing they can do about this. When I have my kid with me I need to circle the parking lot looking for a parking spot close to the door as the family parking spots are filled. When I do not have my kid with me I park in a spot as far from the door as I can leaving those empty family parking spots for those who need them. I just like to warn customers about the false and misleading price tags at this location! Happened to my family several times. Please check your receipt before you leave the premises. Today although the price tag for Runner Beans indicated 2.99 per lb., I have been charged 6.99 per lb! Before I went to the customers service to complain I checked the tag just in case again... There was no 6.99 tag. There was only one tag mentioning Runner Beans and said 2.99 per lb. After my complaint they told me the right price was 6.99 and the excuse was that they didn't have TIME! to change it! After they paid my money back I went back to the display and noticed that the 2.99 lb tag was GONE. They had immediately put up the "correct" price. They finally found the time for it...?? Isn't this misleading? And time consuming for the customer? I don't call this a 'mistake' because in our 5-6 time recent visits to this location, we experienced similar issues relating pricing, Please be cautious and check your receipt before you head home. read more

This place has the absolute WORST customer service that I've experienced in my life. I lost my health card about a week ago and this was the last place I had it. I went there the next day and they took down my contact information and said they would give me a call the next day. I never received a call. I decided to give them a call and it went through to customer service. The woman was very rude when I said hello. I told her my situation and asked whom I should call, and she responded with a sigh and a "hang on a second!" She put me on hold for about two minutes, and didn't even take my name. I don't even think she checked because it was way too short of a time to look. When she came back said "k there's nothing here". I said oh okay quite shocked at her tone then she said "yeah k. Bye.", and hung up on me. I just got off the phone around ten minutes ago. I've worked in customer service before so believe me when I say this woman should NOT be working in customer service!!! She was very rude and condescending. All that I wanted was the number for whom I should call, and she should have connected me to the proper department. So much for "customer service". I wish zero stars was an option cause this place would surely get one. read more

On what used to be an average day, this store was clean, well-stocked and had good selection. In response to social distancing measures arrows were taped on floors to steer one-way traffic in the aisles. The day they laid the tape was the last thought given to it. People roam freely, as they did before, with no staff making even the slightest gesture to maintain safe distancing measures. Blissfully ignorant pick-and-go order fillers walk up and down aisles without an ounce of comprehension or regard for their employer's one-way aisle traffic designation or common safety procedures. Our go to Grocery Store. And by go to, I mean 4-5 times a week. I have 2 kids and a bad grocery list memory....so I am there way too much. It is a well stocked, well laid out Loblaws, not much to complain about. Might be a tad more expensive than Freshco or NoFrills in general, but I would rather go there and know I will find what I need rather than run around to 3-4 other places. Sales are usually decent, although periodically they run out of sale items early in the week and do not get them back in before the sale ends. Produce selection is great. Rarely have a problem finding something fresh. Good deli/salad/prepared area. Friendly attendants. Gorgeous new bakery area, well stocked seafood and butcher sections as well. Wife loves the deals in the Joe Fresh area at the front of the store. Staff is pretty friendly in general, even though I am sure they recognize me and wonder "why the hell this guy is here so much and why does he drag his 1yr old here all the time....why cant he just make a list and come once a week? "They never seem to judge, but who knows, maybe they laugh behind my back. read more

There are so many good choices for supermarkets around here, and every time I go to this particular Loblaws I think - "eeek, you idiot! Why are you here?!" So this post will hopefully lock in the reminder that this place has the worst customer service of all the grocery stores in the Beach, and that I can have the same products with a much better customer experience at the Loblaws on Eastern Ave. The particular incident that brings on this review was the lack of a bulk bin number on one of three bulk candy purchases I was making - with the eye roll and the angry-toned 'I'll have to look this up, then!" and much sighing and page turning in a product picture book for the item, she gave up - apologizing to the staff person in line behind me (not to me) for the 'delay' - and I said, for the second time, 'you can just leave it, then'. No apology, no options for me and I left without the product and once more determined not to shop there. I do not understand why someone so nasty can be in a customer-facing role. I see a few other comments here, and know several friends in the area who have had the same kind of experience with the staff's bad attitudes. Like I said, lots of other places to take my hard-earned money, so I'll vote with my feet and suggest others do the same until Loblaws gets the message. It's the opposite in their Garden Centre, by the way, where they are so careful and attentive to customers, but obviously the lessons of how to treat your customers were never brought inside to the cashiers. read more

I like this Loblaw. They have a relatively small prepared food section but the staff is always nice and friendly. I wish they had more parking available because the parking lot is usually packed and I end up having to park up the street at the other plaza. read more

This is not my closest grocery store but it's my favorite to go to. I like that they carry everything that I typically need, I find other locations don't carry everything and I have to go to other stores to finish my shopping. I do not like the new bakery though....this isn't totally bad since the baked good section no longer tempts me which is all in all better for my waistline:) read more

PC Meal Kits, for which you do pay a $5 delivery fee, are not actually "delivered". They are dumped out in public any old place. I found mine outside a 10 storey apartment, ready to be stolen. I guess because there is no concierge, dumping is fine in the driver's mind. read more

This is a pretty good Loblaws. It's not a big fancy super centre, but it has a good organics section - and more importantly - a nice Joe Fresh. This is the loblaws we frequent when we feel like spending the extra 5 minutes in the car and being a little more "upscale." For some reason this review is making me hungry. Whenever Loblaws flyer promotes $2.99 for a carton of 18 large eggs, don't believe it! They don't carry it at all even on the first day of their sale period. It has happened numerous times. It is false advertising! read more

The products are wonderful and so are the JOE clothes. The staff are what makes this location a bit irritating. There is never anyone roaming or stocking the aisles to assist you if you have a question. And why do you get baggage service one day and not the next? Some of the cashiers are kind and helpful and others actually b#tch and moan to their neighbor cashier about how much they hate their job. Brutally unprofessional. I do like that there is dry cleaning and a big parking lot. read more

I enjoy shopping at this store as it is close to the Beaches. I would give it a higher rating but my family is getting tired of buying produce that goes bad in 24-48hrs and as my wife and I both work have no time to go back to save 10 bucks. This happens weekly and I am now considering changing grocery stores. Another issue is the staff leave huge boxes and carts in the isles making it very difficult to get carts around with kids in tow. The checkout staff are generally excellent and courteous. Too bad as the store has much more potential. read more

This is one of the better Loblaws that I have been to (btw--the worse one being 401 and Port Union). There is a PC Financial Kiosk in this location as well. Great customer service, especially in the bakery dept. The only thing that I have had issues with is if something goes wrong during the checkout. It doesn't appear that the cashiers have the ability to rectify the issue. Case in point: something doesn't ring up correctly, I show the flyer and prove that my purchase is correct, the cashier has to call someone from customer service to get the problem rectified. Unfortunately, everyone behind me gets miffed because their system didn't scan correctly and I had the harbels to call them on it. This is a common problem with many of the big chains. There is a solution: Don't deal with the issue with the cashier but rather go to the customer service desk. The customer service desk is located by the PC Financial Kiosk. Additionally, this location has recently changed their hours from being a 24 hr store to a open till 11pm. read more

while i love this location in terms of selection and aesthetics, i wholly agree customer service is terrible. i was in a rush to make sugar cookies for my son's school and called the victoria park location at 10:00pm. i asked the service agent who answered my call if they carried the pillsbury brand "holiday" cookie dough like sugar cookies or gingerbread etc, and she didn't know so she put me on to her manager. when her manager picked up, i repeated my request. he told me most of the staff had gone home for the night (this location closes 11pm weeknights), no one was there to help, and "could i call back tomorrow?" i explained i needed the product tonight and if he could help, and he said he was "very busy" doing something "important" and could not, and that there was no one else who could. WHAAAT? i've worked in customer service, and at that level--at any level--his behaviour was a classic fail. thankfully, metro's customer service and hours saved the day. YAY METRO!!! read more
