Short version: I used Emmett to refinance my home to an insanely low rate that closed in world-record time! HIGHLY recommend him & his services! Longer version: We purchased our home 3 years ago. At the time we felt our rate was really great for a fixed 15 year loan. We heard rates had dropped recently, so we thought we'd look around a bit. I reached out to a few friends and got some recommendations for brokers they had used and received a handful. After a few calls I realized I could lower my rate. We went through the beginning processes with a few brokers and settled on one. We had submitted our information and got quoted a really good rate. As a final quick step I wanted to compare the rate I was given with what I could find online. I did some searching and of course a million rate-quoting sites came up. Some of the rates were a bit lower than what I was being quoted, but I dismissed them as "bait-and-switch" listings. You know, the promise of low rates, no costs, etc., but then you call and they are like, "Oh, even though all your info looks great, the best we can do is higher than what you saw online." I decided for kicks-and-giggles I'd take the absolute lowest APR I could find online and give them a call. I went to Zillow Mortgage and sorted "All" by APR. The one at the very top was Southland Home Finance and the APR was unbelievably low. There was no way it was real, but heck, I'll call and see what they say. I fully expected a call-center to answer, but Emmett immediately answered the phone. He was incredibly friendly, smart, and articulate. I remember thinking, "Holy cow, this might be legit!" After some more due-diligence I decided to give him a try, and I'm extremely glad I did!! Emmett helped make the whole process as painless as possible.
