I want to thank Susana for the excellent job she did throughout the process of buying my home. From day one, she was professional, kind, and always available to answer my questions and guide me through every step of the loan process. Her dedication, knowledge, and consistent communication made the entire process clear, organized, and much less stressful. She kept me informed at every stage and made sure everything went smoothly all the way through closing. Thanks to Susana and her entire team, I am now a homeowner. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, honest, and dedicated mortgage lender or loan officer who truly cares about helping clients achieve their dream of homeownership. read more

Andrew Worcester was excellent and he followed up diligently. He was professional a knowledgeable. I would highly recommended!

Please stop spamming me, no idea why Sharp Loan (Alex) is reaching out to me like we have had previous contact with a private number ((714-699-9863). No I'm not interested, or ever will be. In fact you have motivated me to let anyone I know to stay far away from you all. Peace read more

I get it - you have a list of candidates to spam call or text and figure it's OK to harass them UNSOLICITED for potential customers. The multiple texts you've sent making it appear I had communicated with you OR your company previously is disingenuous and dishonest. - You don't identify yourself in text and don't use caller ID. - You use vague language like 'Are we doing this or what?' hoping someone (me) would fall for that. We've never contacted you, nor wish to. - This happened several times, hoping to harass your way into a response (BTW - anyone reading this should NOT respond to these, you'll likely get greenlisted for more spam.) - You texted from (714) 519-2230, which notably isn't listed anywhere on your website or easily accessible in other directories. Why not, upstanding businesses do. - In your responses here, you say you don't telespam anymore, but clearly this is false as of 10/6/2022. - I'm not a fan of how you handle other people you have done this to, as evidenced by more than a few reviews here. Clearly this company uses deceit as a tactic. And this is who I would want to trust my money/mortgage with? read more

Received an unsolicited text from this company. They claim the got my info from Experian. I doubt this is legal. Very unprofessional, at best. If they do this to find business, imagine what they would do during the loan process. Shady. read more

Rey was the seller and lender of our home. Both sides of the experience were more than we were ever expecting. He fixed every little thing we requested him to fix on the home despite us signing a contract of "as is." He has also promised to continue fixing anything on the home as repairs come up and he has done that! He has continued to send his contractors to the home even after we closed. As a lender he went above and beyond, after numbers were presented we were not comfortable with the monthly payment (change in interest rates, etc.) we gave him a number we were comfortable with and he was able to get us to that monthly and even better! Additionally, he gave us multiple credits that saved us thousands of dollars and gifted us a gift at closing. Throughout the whole process he stayed in constant and instant communication and had us closed within 10 days! My husband, parents and I have worked with various lenders in the past but Rey has been the best! read more

Having worked with both banks and brokers for mortgage lending, we knew we were leaning toward a broker, we just needed to find one in a new market for us. We initially found Rey on Instagram and contacted him a few months before our targeted purchase window. He was receptive in spite of knowing we wouldn't be moving forward soon. Rey and our Loan Coordinator - Alex - made our loan process very easy. They were ahead of time every step of the way and provided excellent customer service. I can't overstate - there were no headaches with our lending process. I'd recommend anyone prospecting mortgage lenders to call Sharp Loan. This Yelp page doesn't do them justice, yet. read more

They sent me unsolicited texts saying that I reached out to them for a mortgage. I never did such a thing, nor did I reach out to Experian. I will never trust anyone who uses deceitful scammer tactics. I don't trust any of the positive reviews on here, either. If this is a real business, they wouldn't spam texts everywhere. Seems like a fraud and not worth anyone's time. Leave me alone. I'm reporting you to BBB and everywhere else I can. read more

At the close of our refinance in August, we planned with Alex to revisit the loan after we'd made the fourth payment. For the past month, we have called, sent text messages, but have not been able to reach Alex Reyes with mortgage loan questions. Apparently he is no longer with Sharp Loans and the owner, Rey Reyes, who is also a relative of Alex's, is nowhere near as competent and thus far unwilling to put us in contact with Alex to allow him to continue to provide us with his services. I chose Alex Reyes, not Sharp Loans, or Rey Reyes to handle my business. Alex was the person responsible for earning this 5 star review. Since Alex is no longer there, we have no way to work with him and have not yet been able to connect with a competent loan officer at Sharp Loans, I'll be taking the rating down to a 1 star. If Alex comes back, we would love to work with him. Until then use another company. read more

I had a great experience with everyone at Sharp Loan! However, Chris Cifuentes went the extra mile for us! Above and beyond!! Although, purchasing a home is very stressful, Chris made sure everything went smoothly and closed before the deadline. Chris was very helpful, responsive and answered all our questions. He was always upfront and honest throughout our loan process. I can't thank him enough for making it possible! I will definitely come back to Sharp Loans / Chris Cifuentes for our future home needs!! Garbage. Somehow they get wind that you are refinancing your mortgage, then call you sort of pretending to be the lender you're working with. Not explicitly, since they do say they are Sharp Loan. But if you aren't paying attention you could easily think it's legitimately related to the refinance you have going on and end up getting scammed. They implore you to "immediately" call to" review "important information" about "your application" and "to protect your privacy." Of course, I have no business with them. Here's a transcription of the voicemail I received: "Hi, my name is Matthew with the Mortgage Services Department at Sharp Loan. We have important information regarding an inquiry and the review of your mortgage application. Contact the Mome Mortgage Line of Credit and Pre-approvals Department immediately at 714-701-8458. And again, this is Matthew with Sharp Loan Mortgage Broker in Orange, Orange County, California. In an effort to protect your privacy contact our office at 714-701-8458 and please provide the number you received this message at an any of our trained professional representatives can assist you with your application. Thank you very much. And again this is Sharp Loan. Make it a great day." read more

I wasn't sure that this day would ever come. With all the struggles that have been going on in the past year and a half and personal family difficulties, I am thrilled beyond belief that I can finally call myself a true homeowner. The amazing team at Sharp Loan helped to make this a reality for me and my family. There were a bunch of hiccups along the way with getting approved but they stuck with us for every step and were patient with technology challenges we had when it came to sending documents and info. Every person I spoke to at Sharp Loan showed the same courtesy, respect, patience and humility to me and my family. I will be recommending anyone and everyone that I talk to who is in the market to purchase a home or refinance their mortgage. I'm writing this review while sitting on the patio of my new home. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys are the best! read more

I've been doing business with sharp loans on and off for awhile now. When i was doing a refinance last year, i was getting a lot of mixed information from one of the the guys (not gonna say his name for his privacy). It ended up working out but because of my persistence and me working with one of the managers. Fast forward to the current thing I'm trying to accomplish. I get the same guy so i request someone else. Now i have this new woman and she seems very helpful at first but turns out the guy is still working with her too. I am over a month in my process and I still haven't gotten my simple numbers question answered. 1 month to answer 1 question about how much will my Heloc be and how much credit i need to pay. I call 2 times a week with most times no answer and when i get one of them on the line it's like they forgot what I asked. So it's like a merry go round that's not very merry. I would definitely look else where for your housing loans. They don't value your needs above their own. read more

Having the same experience as the other two reviewers. In fact the voicemail Austin has pasted to his review is the exact same message I have been left multiple times over the last 3/4 days. They ring several times a day and I had never even heard of them until this week. Didn't go to their webpage etc so not sure how they have my number. The way they talk on the voicemail is very misleading, as if I had already started the mortgage buying process with them and they now have more information for me. Sharp loans seems to be at best, harassment and at worst, a huge scam just to get our cash. read more

Really didn't like that they texted me out of the blue, without saying who they were claiming I needed to call at my soonest convenience to go over the details of my mortgage refinance. Any legitimate source would have identified themselves. If they're willing to resort to tricking people into calling them they can't be a very honest business. Clearly lots of other people got the same text message, and like them I'm really glad I Googled the number. read more

This should be illegal. In 2019 a business manager replied to several posts from yelpers saying they were no longer doing a cold call telemarketing campaign using contact information from people without their consent. That is a lie, they certainly still are. Today I received the following text from this company :"Hi! I'm calling with the Mortgage and Refinance Department. It's very important that you call us at your earliest convenience at 714-701-8458 to go over the details of your recent mortgage inquiry. Have a great day!" I never made a mortgage inquiry with this company let alone entered into a any sort of mortgage related business dealings. Deception and dishonesty should not be rewarded. read more

This company is a scam. They called me unsolicited and pretended they were my current lender. They were very secretive about who they were and kept pretending like they were discussing my current loan with another bank. Only after I poked and prodded did they admit who they were and that it was actually an unsolicited marketing call that has nothing to do with my current loan. I have no idea where they steal your information from, but the fact that they instantly get your cell phone number to try to defraud you after you get a loan from someone else is pretty scary. read more

The process was quick & easy! Thank you rey for helping me refinance my home! Very professional available at all times!

I wanted to take advantage of the historically low interest rates during the past year so I decided to refinance my mortgage last month. I kept putting it off because of how tedious the process can be and I wasn't looking forward to having to fill out and gather all the information and documents that I know would be needed. A friend of mine had used Sharp Loan to refinance his home recently and was extremely happy with what they offered and the level of service that he received. He recommended this company and I'm so glad that he did because it saved me a lot of time and headaches. Not only did they make the whole process painless and simple but they were thorough and walked me through everything. My refinance is about to close this week and it couldn't have been easier. I'm in a bit of disbelief myself but I'll be saving $250 every month now which I plan to put towards some home renovations. Thank you Sharp Loan! read more

Some background about me: I am not a first time borrower and I have re-financed on multiple occasions, so I'd say my experience level as a borrower is high. Regarding some of the 1 star reviews I read: Looks like many of the 1 star reviews weren't clients of SL to begin with. And while I appreciate the desire to not be constantly harassed, it should be known that when you go through the lending process, lenders/brokers/etc reach out to get your business. Instead of getting frustrated, my advice is to entertain the call and see if they can beat your current rate ... ...which is what happened with me. I had an offer in hand, and was 20 days into the process (45 - 60 day close) when SL reached out to me. They not only beat the offer I had in hand by 0.25%, but they also closed in 15 days (calendar, not business)! Sharp Loan provides excellent service at an excellent value. Hector Carillo (my loan officer) along with the leadership and underwriting team were knowledgeable, capable, reliable, and an overall pleasure to work with. Hector is a 'customer-first' professional who always makes you feel like a top priority client and addressed my concerns and answered my questions at all hours of the day. Additionally, after closing, the team found an error in my favor in the magnitude of several hundred dollars and 1) urgently closed the matter and 2) relentlessly worked to get the refund check in my hand. I thank Christopher Williamson (the Operations Manager) in leading this for me. I look forward to doing more business with them in the future. Thanks Sharp Loan! read more

I found Sharp Loan on Facebook and went to their website and filled out an application for a refinance. The whole process was so quick and easy and before I knew it, I was on the phone with a loan officer who was able to get me approved! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to refinance or purchase a home. Thanks Sharp Loan!!! read more

Ceasar Mendoza from Sharp Loan Rey Reyes office called me because they learned from experian that I was looking to refi. He very confidently claimed that his company will beat my current refi offer. I've been getting calls non stop. Being contacted by Sharp Loan a few times over the past week. Each time the same person would call and ask for me but I would just disregard the caller. Eventually I called back after a voicemail left from Mathew mentioned "verifying my application". I spoke to another representative that convinced me to verify a couple things about my loan and property. I was very skeptical to say the least. The telemarketing person transferred me to a supervisor that gave me more information about the company and was very knowledgeable about the industry. Overall I had a pleasant experience and have decided to allow the company to handle my refinance. Honestly after all my research & the review of the Sharp Loan, they are a really good mortgage broker. With confidence its been a great experience for me. Hopefully this helps. read more

This is the second(2nd) time that Lauro Francisco and Sergio Ramirez have helped me refinance my home. In both cases they have proven to be the best and most conscientious lenders. This second (2nd) time I needed cash out in order to upgrade and do some renovations on my multi-family property. Their customer service is top-notch, and they are always timely and responsive. I received quotes from other lenders, 1 lender was actually extremely competitive. To the point, Sharp Loan never dropped the ball. Sharp Loan was able to get me a lower interest rate at less cost. They are competitive, honest, and transparent. Being employed, with difficult hours made communications tough. However, they stayed ahead of the game, keeping me informed & centered, by contacting me daily, in every avenue possible, (text, email & called), and respecting my hours of availability. They went above and beyond the scope - working diligently to get the job done. Unlike others, they kept me on track, updated every step of the way, making the loan better and better, according to my needs and concerns. I'm truly amazed, grateful, appreciative for their efforts in bringing me success in my life-having a home/multi-family property.
