I had a smoked salmon Benedict that had so many textures and flavors, egg perfection, fresh crunchy vegetables, some pickled for acidity, salmon light and not overly salty. I don't think I can do this place justice by talking about it. You NEED to experience it for yourself. Not to overhype it but I am a big foodie and Loam is leagues better than every single restaurant I have tried in Oregon. The service was just above and beyond. Our server remade my hot chocolate just because she thought she could do better than the first one she made (Who does that? Amazing people, I guess?). The quality of the food is insane! You can tell with every bite that the dishes were made with love, dedication and passion for the art of making food. The chef is an artist and I cannot wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu. I am still shocked at how good and memorable everything was. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. It's downtown, Dayton, It a nice place, not fancy l and I liked their rustic style. There was three if us, we were greeted and felt very welcomed and got seated immediately. Our server was quick to come over and she was super nice! I ordered coffee and they offered, French press coffee, and I'm glad I said yes, because our server brought the whole French press to the table, I really like that and the coffee was was really good!! The other two ordered a Bloody Mary's each, which neither one liked. I ordered the Farmhouse breakfast and the other two ordered biscuits and gravy, the food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The only issue we had was, my toast had no butter, so I asked for butter and some jelly. When we got the bill, we we were charged, two dollars for the butter and two more dollars for the jelly, we were shocked! Their prices are already very expensive to begin with!! Four dollars is not gonna make or break us, but it left a bad taste in our mouths with that kind of price jabbing! Our bill was around $135.00. We visited Loam today, (Saturday), for brunch. Every staff member was very friendly and all were busy doing their thing. The restaurant was pretty full and it was hopping. My wife and I sat at the bar because we like to watch the show behind the bar. Our server was Amy H, and she was great! This bar and the large wall unit behind it was made of wood and they were obviously very old and probably antique. They were gorgeous. We ordered our food and when it arrived, it was beautiful! I ordered a breakfast dish that included pork belly, which was easily 3/8" thick and perfectly cooked. It also came with eggs, potatoes, and two large pieces of toast. My wife had French Toast, which appeared to have been made using the same thick bread. Hers was served on a large dollop of custard with blueberries and raspberries. Not only was it pretty, it was delicious! We would recommend Loam and will definitely visit again! read more

The farm to table food is so fresh, thoughtful and delicious. The BEST side of fruit I've ever had at a restaurant. And the BACON. I've never tasted so much flavor in a side of bacon (it's THICC but you have to get it). The food was very lovely. We had the vegan farmer's sandwich (mind-blowing flavor) with a salad and the granola, vegan-style. I'd love to see them bring in some vegan cashew milk yogurt to replace the regular yogurt in the granola dish. The chai was delicious, as was the OJ, and service was very accommodating. Two of the main items on a very short menu was unavailable. No egg dishes offered. I am a brunch connoisseur and was epically disappointed. Mimosa was weak and minute. Potatoes were really good.
