I wrote this two days ago, the filtered it less the 24 hours in. Lets try it again shall we. Why have us write reviews if they do not stay posted? This is an interesting review to write. I would have given them 5 stars, but when I looked them up to start, they had 28 reviews that were filtered out and it made me wonder why. Upon looking them up, they were all 5 star reviews, makes me think they really don't want you to see them or something. Ok, this company has moved us twice. Once to a 2nd story condo and once to our current house. Both jobs went very well and without issue. They came in better priced then everyone else. The owner is very low key and always seems calm. He works the jobs himself and gets along with whomever he is working with very well. Lots of laughing and making fun of each other while they work. If there is anything you could say that works against them, they are smaller. If they get booked for a day, you have to take the next available day. It more then worth the wait and working into their schedule, but if you are locked on one particular day, and they have something already scheduled, you are out of luck. They are efficient. Make very little mess. They took the time to set everything up and even fix things that were previously either not functioning right or broken. We had issues with our bed slats coming off and one of their guys talked to use about an alternative and then with our ok, did what he suggested and it has not been an issue since. Wish he was around 5 years ago. The owner does a walk thru to make sure all is well before he cuts his crew loose. Then rounds down in his billing. And takes donations away for free. If you have the time, read the filtered reviews on them, you will get a much better understanding about why they are so well liked. I give them five stars, just didn't want to get my review lost with the rest. read more

Joe and his team are the best! They were referred to me by a trusted, successful Santa Barbara realtor. Joe came ahead of time to inspect our space and furniture. He helped us make a plan for TWO efficient moves of our office (leasing issues forced us out of our office by 8/1 and our new space wasn't ready until 9/1). Moving out day was seamless! There were 7 movers and they had our entire office secured in storage within 3 HOURS! It was quite impressive and so was the move out of storage into our new office space a few weeks later! Not a single piece of our very nice furniture was damaged and the team got everything exactly where we wanted it to be positioned. We could not have been happier! Joe even came back a couple days later to make sure we were happy and to see if we needed any of the heavier furniture moved elsewhere in the new office. He is a gem and his team was incredibly efficient. The price was right on target with our budget and I honestly feel he probably could have charged more for the quality of work that was provided. I/we will never move with anyone else in Santa Barbara. We had a couple companies quote out the job but it was obvious their pricing was low-balled right off the bat and there wasn't any comprehensive thought put into the logisitics/estimates so it was clear right from the start Loadstar was the superior choice. read more

I first used LoadStar at the recommendation of a close friend of mine. He moved furniture and household goods and I was wonderfully gratified by their competency, friendliness and efficiency, all at a cost well below the large van companies. Most recently he moved the contents of our house here to a storage unit until our place here at Valle Verde was ready. He then moved the storage unit things here. Besides the standard services, he will dispose of boxes, anything we didn't want he disposed of by donating it if it was worthy, or taking to the dump if not. Joe is honest, VERY reliable, friendly, professional and will help you in any way they can. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and would be very happy to be called by anyone interested in using them to endorse them 100%. 2 months ago my gf and I decided to move in together. I was in Carpinteria, she was in Pismo and we were moving to a different city altogether. After packing up our two apartments and a storage unit we quickly began to feel the agony and pain of moving all three places on our own and we hadn't even started yet. Some coworkers told me about LoadStar Movers and after talking to Joe I quickly and gladly agreed to the cost and terms! The guys showed up on time, took great care of loading/unloading and protecting our items. Absolutely nothing was damaged. We were so ecstatic! The only regret I had is I didn't know they would come to our place and pack it up too! Now I know who I'm calling to handle my packing/moving needs in the future. The hourly rate & what that would include was very reasonable...but I've had very bad luck with moving entities...& broken promises. So after having sent detailed photos of exactly where & what would be moved & its destination, & that I would help, when the owner said that it would take 6 hours to do what I knew couldn't possibly take more than 2+ hrs, I was extremely concerned...but decided to take a chance, since they didn't have a minimum, & having been recommended by others. Well, they (except the owner) were there promptly, I was surprised & disappointed they hadn't seen anything I'd sent, but they were courteous, careful & organized, & finished everything in exactly 2 hrs, which, I'm sure cost far less than any other entity. LoadStar were excellent for our most recent move. Israel and Fernando were professional, self-directed, careful, and creative. They even went above and beyond, making a pulley to hoist up our heavy couch through a second story porch, and they continued to think creatively about how to do it, even when we'd given up. Eventually they accomplished the feat, and we are so grateful. I've worked with movers before where you still need to be in charge and make sure they're still working or still being careful. But Israel and Fernando with LoadStar were more careful with our stuff than we are, and they worked efficiently and steadily, getting the job done faster than we'd even hoped. I used LoadStar Movers last month for a local move within Santa Barbara and it doesn't get any better than this. Joe and his team was wonderful from the start all the way to the end. Joe even offered me pricing options that helped me save money. His team worked very efficiently which worked well for me due to the hourly rate I was being charged. They took great care of my belongings and even took the time to put a couple of items back to the state they should have been in. Joe went above and beyond what was expected. Joe and his team helped us unload after a cross country move from the Chicago area. They arrived on time and ready to roll. The guys were quick, courteous and handled our stuff efficiently and with great care. They were patient with us as we decided which room things needed to go in and got everything properly situated before they left. ( I once had a moving team in such a hurry to get on to the next job that certain heavy boxes were dumped in the wrong rooms and I later had to move them myself). Just hired Joe and his team for our local move here in Santa Barbara... they were AMAZING!!! Super-professional, efficient, hard workers, and even went the extra mile moving our hot-tub for us at the end of the day after the spa place gave us the run around (super-impressed)! Great experience! Especially with Joseph & Liz, the packers. I had never used packers before...trust issues, I think...but these two were professional, honest, fast and took better care of my things than I would have! I have a lot of expensive antiques, collectibles & artwork and all made it safely & undamaged to my new home. On top of that, they were just good, honest people willing to go the extra mile to take care of my things as if they were their own. Joe and the crew are friendly, hard-working, fast, and really really helpful. Loadstar has moved us three times, each time was fantastic. Moving is stressful but Joe and Israel and the guys make it seem smooth and easy. They are really careful with the items they are moving, and very conscientious about not dinging walls, scuffing floors, etc. They have been on time every time with all the necessary equipment to get the job done.
