Loïc is one of my favourite wine bars in the city. There is an expertly curated and diverse selection of red, rose and white wines from around the globe a swell as delightful bulles to tickle your interlocutor's nose, tongue and fancy. Cheese pairings are easy to make here; served with warm buttered bread, fruit and nuts and olives and cornichon make for succinct and skilled offerings, even down to the accoutrements. The cheese portions are not fucking around. They will serve you straight up a brick of excellent cheese. Mic drop. read more

I guess you assign your owns seats when you arrive here. I came with my friend after my work around midnight for a drink. We enter the place, no one greeted us. We took a table and sat. The place was half full. Twenty minutes later, we get the drink menu. About half an hour later, the server takes our order. I am going to fast forward like the show Spongebob Sqauarepants... 1 hour later. No drinks! I wasn't sure how to react! I am already so tired after my 16 hours shift, that I had no energy to even get upset . 2nd server noticed us and our empty table. He took our order, and got our drinks within 5 minutes. You may ask what happened to the first server, well, from where I was sitting, I see he is dancing and grinding with some pretty girls and bringing them drinks back and forth. After one drink, I dragged my feet from there, and told myself never again I would ever go to this place. read more

I like Loic. this place is fun - has 2 levels. Drinks are ok but most importantly the crowd is fun - and that is the real trick with any club. Extra points for having comfy couches arranged so that they're not in the way of dance areas. read more

Thanks to the pandemic, this little wine bar in St Henri has been closed up for a while. Thankfully, they can now deliver food, right to your doorstep too. After hearing that you can get your hands on amazing burgers, I did not hesitate! They offer either a chicken sandwich or a beef burger with sides and drinks at a great price. I opted for the burger with cheese, fries and soda. The fries were okay, likely from frozen, but warn, crispy and nicely salted. The burger was well worth it! The meat was nicely cooked and tasty, the cheese was yum, and finally the bun, well it stole the show! That bun would be perfect on a crispy chicken sandwich, so yes, will likely order again! read more

Honestly one of my favourite resto-wine bar in Montreal. The food is so delicious and well priced. They switch up the menu to use produce that is in season. Such a great vibe, great place for a date night or even a girls night out. Staff is also super friendly. Recommend trying their cheeseburger read more

Super friendly amazing service. Terrible price to portion ratio. Absolutely terrible. (~20$ for 2 very small amounts cheese "platter" the size of a saucer, 16 $ for a tiny salad w mini shrimps, 13$ for at best 2-3oz of red wine). But my friends really enjoyed the dishes and I really enjoyed the perfectly recommended overpriced wine. My other friend ordered their 8$ dessert which was definitely a mistake (see photo). Ambiance = hipster. Very. Very. Very. Hipster. Decor was comfy comfy...loved the cushioned benches, the ceiling, the lighting, the set up and the bar. But. Wtf is w the floor y'all? Ran outta money? Or ur just THAT hip? X-D Overall decent experience but gotta be in the mood to drop moolah in a hipsta environment. Will likely only come back for more wine. read more

Loïc - The super shmancy named dessert...which basically just amounts to nutella Ina baby food jar for 8$ lol - Bars Near Me - Montreal, Quebec

They forced me to coat check my Canada goose jacket on New Year's Eve. Surprise- my jacket got stolen and they didn't do anything about it. There was no ticket system and it was basically a free for all for anyone who wanted to start the year with a new coat. A night at Loic cost me over $1000 bucks. I'm pissed and cold. read more

Cute little dimly lit wine bar in the St. Henri area, great for a date or a friendly hangout. The decor is cozy and rustic and the staff is friendly and welcoming, good music in the background without being too loud and hindering conversation. The bar was full but didnt feel overly crowded. We came here for drinks on a Friday night and managed to be seated at the bar. We shared a bottle of red wine and had the beef tartare. The food was alright , cant complain but nothing to write home about but slightly overpriced on the other food items on the menu. The wine was good and not crazy pricey. This wasnt a bad experience by any means so I would recommend for anyone to try it for themselves. read more

Worst customer service ever from the general manager & the owner! Bar staff you were great, thanks for your service. We waited for 2 hours when we had a reservation for dinner at 7:30pm. 10:30 PM we left because they would bot accommodate us anyhow. We were told " I don't give a fuck" by a waiter when we voiced our concerns. Please be aware coming here that you won't be heard. I would not recommend, but see for yourself ( if you dare) read more

Waited for over ten minutes to get a cocktail menu no one bothered to greet us. Terrible experience. For a non busy night, this is unacceptable. read more

This placed had awesome vibes. The energy, the people, and the look all felt genuine and cool. It's well located and there was a ton of ~parking~ nearby. And on top of that the service was almost perfect! So all in all Loic has a lot going for it! ...that is until we get to the consumptions. There's no doubt that their menu is intriguing. But aside from the Tommy Lee (which was just alright) nothing else we ordered off the menu -and we ordered all of their house cocktails and tried a few ciders and wines- knocked our socks off (or even jabbed at them). The sticky toffee pudding we were served mostly fell flat as well- though the ice cream it came with was divine and I would have eaten bowls of it on its own. It's too bad. Not enough to turn me off coming again but perhaps next time I'll just order something on the rocks or a beer. read more

I enjoyed dinner and drinks here with a group of 8 friends on a Thursday night. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Despite our large party, we had great service. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. My friend and I split the marinated (pickled) vegetables, but we easily could have just gotten our own since the portion was on a smaller side. I also ate a noodle and asparagus dish, which was sooooo good. A couple of people in my group got the burger, which looked divine, so I begged for a bite as well. I loved my noodle dish, but would go for the burger next time for sure. read more

We had a great meal and lovely cocktails at Loïc. It was after a long bike ride around the city and we were looking for a nice place close to our hotel. The food was excellent. We had broccoli (perfectly roasted on a bed of creamy ricotta), oysters (fresh), cauliflower (super spicy and yummy), and mackerel (the only weird dish - felt a little deconstructed and not fitting together, and the fish tasted raw and unflavored). I got 2 rounds of a tasty gin cocktail and our servers were super friendly and sweet. I'd go back! Apparently there's a dance floor and comfy couches. read more

We were here New Year's Eve and we had a great time making fun of how small the portion sizes were in our set menu. To be expected on New Year's Eve I suppose. At least we were not hungry leaving. The location had a lovely atmosphere. I loved the music (alternative rock.. black keys, strokes). We got a real candle at our table (not a tea light), which I really appreciated. There's something very soothing about feeling the warmth of that little flame sitting between your significant one, especially during Montreal's winter. Loïc deserves a good review because the food and drinks were great! I had a smokeshow (spicy). The seafood platter was my favourite part of meal. And our server was very kind and knowledgable of wine. She offered very helpful recommendations to me (knowing very little about wine). Would go again, great experience! read more

had such a great experience. Make sure to ask for graham the bartender. He was so insightful and recommended the most amazing bottle of wine. Made my wife's and I aniversay! Can't wait to come back for the next one! read more

Eh. Snobby service and the cocktail took 30 minutes to come out so three of us had our wine while one just watched the others drink. Small and uninspired food options. Nice to see orange wine by the glass read more

In Montreal there are many bars and restaurants, but few places can boast the atmosphere found at Bar Loïc. Located amid the trendy establishments on Notre Dame street in St Henri, Loïc is a wine bar extraordinaire. The business is situated in the original bank building owned by the Molson family, the beautiful location maintains the vintage vision with the large windows and high ceilings. The location, is spacious and roomy with tables situated along the walls, and stools around the bar. Wine barrels stand as tables for patrons who like to move about and soak up the ambiance. The kitchen offers light fare with several dishes to try or share with your near and dear. The wine list includes many unique choices and the staff is always ready with a recommendation. The second floor is host to concert venue Turbo Haüs, a great space to watch a show as the location offers the best acoustics. The space is also available for private functions. We stared our evening with St Simon New Brunswick oysters escorted by a divine Muscadet. This accompaniment was suggested by our hostess Rebecca and it was perfect. The wine was fresh and delightful and brought out the taste in the oysters. While waiting for our next course we dared to try one of the bar's famous seasonal cocktails, the Rye Not. A unique combination of Xérès Fino, Suze, Rye, and and citron, the drink was sweet and delicious. On to the next course, we were presented with the charcuterie, a sampling of salami, pickled veggies and of course bread. Additionally, we tried the beef carpaccio, perfectly prepared and covered with the most flavorful cheese it was amazing. With our glasses now empty it was time for a new wine. The suggestion this time was an organic Beaujolais. A unique wine that could quickly become our new favorite. But what is wine without food. The deep fried brussel sprouts and the Bouchée de Muffuletta, a very tall sandwich literally stuffed with meats and cheeses and topped with a pickle and yes it tasted as good as it sounds. No meal is ever complete without afters. Bar Loïc gives patrons only one choice, the Tarta de Santiago. Trust us when we say you do not need any other options, the Tarta de Santiago was the perfect ending to the menu. But this is a bar and we cannot leave with out one more drink. An apple cider aperitif was the ideal side to the dessert. We had a delightful evening with the staff at Bar Loïc, and look forward to returning to sample the rest of the wine list. read more

I've been to Loïc several times and every time has been great! This time I went with my dog after a long walk on the canal and was excited to find out they were puppy friendly! They have a long list of wines (I mean it's a wine bar so duh) but also a few cocktails which were quite refreshing and very reasonably priced! The service was great, friendly and very knowledgeable. The decor was nice and overall vibe very relaxed. I haven't tried the food yet but now that I know that it's dog friendly, I will most definitely be back soon and try it! read more

I think everyone in the west end of Montreal has driven past this historic building when it was a long abandoned bank and thought about what a shame it was that no one had turned it into a vibrant business of some kind. I think whoever actually went through with it did an amazing job of keeping the historic elements of the building alive (they turned the bank safe into a bathroom complete with the old iron door!) while creating a relaxed, well designed bar. The waitress gave a great, unpretentious explanation of their wine list (I'm definitely no somelier), the charcuterie we ordered was great and the night definitely took off as time (and cocktails!) went on. Glad to have something this cool in the neighborhood! If you're from out of town, I recommend exploring St Henri as a neighborhood and checking out Bar Loic. read more
