Yesterday we received a "courtesy notice" from Ventura county that the pepper tree in the parkway needed to be trimmed to 14' in height from the road. This morning Jorge and his crew were working across the street, and after looking at what needed to be done, sent a crew member over. He insisted on removing the cuttings, and they carefully cleaned the rest of the debris. It was a busy day for them before I showed up, but they were very kind and did a great job for me. I can't say enough about LNS Tree Service and giving them 5 stars is an easy decision. We have a 15 ft cypress tree in the front of our house which we wanted to trim it to look like a Christmas tree. Our first attempt was with another company who simply "shaped" the tree. It was okay but grew out quickly. When we needed to do the job again, I contacted the other company as well as LNS. The difference between the two companies was apparant from my first meeting. Not only was LNS less expensive but Fidel noted that the tree needed to be thinned from the inside as well as the outside. He was, of course, correct, but the surprise to me was that the other guy never mentioned thinning the inside of the tree. When LNS came to my house, they brought a crew of 8 guys. Not only was the tree perfectly trimmed but they did a fantastic job of cleaning up. I have lava rocks under the tree. When the blower missed several spots, the crew picked up the branches by hand. We were impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of the LNS crew and will rehire them when the Cypress needs attention or the trees in my backyard need trimming. Oh, I should add that the crew seemed to be done when my wife noticed a spot that needed attention. She mentioned it and it was immediately taken care of. They were very responsive. read more

Fidel gave my elderly widowed mom a reasonable estimate during a record breaking wind emergency. Many of the other unscrupulous tree companies who came for estimates were double and triple price gorging the victims which is illegal to do during an emergency. I mention that as proof of the good character of the owner and his company. Much respect to owner Jorge & LNS Tree Service. Jorge's extremely brave crew cut down the 80'+ tall pine tree perilously endangering the neighbor's house. This tree during the windstorm dropped a few huge branches onto the neighbor's property, taking out their chain link fence, and causing them to be unable to sleep fearing it could fall on their house and crush them all. The danger was very real, and as a 911 responder I would know. LNS Tree Service did a very good job cleaning up, and did exactly what they said they would.
