    I am so incredibly insulted, hurt, sad and just down right appalled how I was treated by Hair by…read moreAsh. I do not do this... ever.... I've NEVER asked for a refund on a service. I understand working with the public can be hard and I try to be an easy client for all providers I see. Since Precision Hair has closed, many of us have been looking for new go to hair stylists. I tried Hair by Ash on Saturday at 15 Chambers St, SF. I wanted to begin the transition to a silver blonde and Grey blend. Im a frequent flyer at the hair salon. I get transitions take time and you may not get the end result you want on first go. I was upfront about the red pigment in my hair. I did not want to be orange/yellow or warm and I knew a band would show up due to my red... wanted to do our best to blend it in. Shadow root to cover the Grey's. I was told my previous hairdresser has damaged my hair so bad, over processed and colour was a mess. Shocked because I've never ever had an issue with my previous gals work. I was told I needed a colour correction that entailed a full bleach out. Again confused but trusting the professional I agreed. I was then offered foils to break up the warmth after the bleaching and she insisted on a quartz toner (pink tones) I asked for violet and again insisted this would be better for my hair. I was there SEVEN HOURS (of course Id never ask for a discount, so the fact i was told i was undercharged isnt my fault). I was only given the oppurtunity to look in the mirror once after the bleach out and once once it was done styled and curled. I don't like my hair curled after getting it done as curling hides colour imperfections and I can't actually assess what it looks like. Anyways... I wasn't asked first but nbd. Did I love how warm I was when I left? No, but again im aware that hair changes can be a process, however the end result should at least appear polished and wearable until next visit. It wasn't until I was home I realized how poorly my hair was done. It is fried, patchy, uneven stripey. It looks terrible. I reached out to Ash the following day to voice my concerns and asked for a potential refund due to how incredibly unhappy I was and am. I not only was dismissed, a public Facebook post was made about me and the situation. Lesson? I'll never allow a service provider to take before and after pics of me ever again. I am insulted, humiliated, saddened and just all kinds of low vibes over this. If a provider is not confident in the service they are providing why proceed? To keep the production coming in? I cannot believe a client would be treated like this. To say I am unreasonable, to invite public commentary on a client's poor experience that was addressed with you privately? Is money the only driver to work ethic? Im just so sad. My hair is gross and fried and im treated like I am the problem. Consumer beware. Hair By Ash wants your money and could not care less about your hair or mental health. I hope this gets out to all those looking for a hair gal to save them the heartbreak and humiliation. Convo, fb post and pics of my hair all included. This is now going to cost me an additional $200 to fix with another stylist :(

Ash took the time to chat and review my photos, discussed my hair texture and base colour and then decided on a plan and chose the colours together. The outcome was far better than expected!! She ended up doing three different shades to achieve my desired look. I'm so happy with the results!
