Despite that, she still scheduled an appointment with me at 6pm and stayed past closing to finish the job. It was a job well done and I love it. Not only did she do a great job but she also explained every step she took and why she was doing them. I learned so much. She educated me on how to make my hair treatment last the longest. I also appreciated her asking me what my budget was and gave me an idea of what the cost would be ahead of time so that it wasn't a big surprise at the end. Everyone was just super friendly. It was definitely a big splurge for me and it isn't cheap but it's also the experience in addition to the salon quality that you pay for.

I tried to have it done professionally, but the result was not that different from what I could do myself. Hanna won my trust by providing a professional evaluation and color advise pointing out things that no other hair professional brought out. So I took a chance... I must say - it was better than I could ever imagine! Hanna is worth every penny! Try her color/ highlights and cuts too!!! Her price is affortable and much lower compared to high end salon.. I'm highly recommendly!!!

(This is now called FABULOUS barber. Same address, same telephone number)…read more Been coming here for about a year but lately, the service has gone down. Sometime in the summer of 2021, I made an appointment to a particular barber only to be given a different barber. On my Jan 21st, 2022 haircut, Moe my barber was 40 minutes late but I waited. Today March 11, 2022 I came in at 1:55pm for my 2pm appointment and was told Moe is not coming in. The barber or the owner have my contact number and email address, but no one contacted me. The least a business owner could do is contact it's clients if the service is cancelled or something came up. But they make you come over and waste your trip for nothing, not even a word from the business owner. Why have an appointment system online anyway if your are not going to honor the time and effort your customers are making to go into your business? Why not just put in your website, "walk-in only"? You would think, oh support the local businesses that are hurting but how can you support a business who somehow, messes up with you several times? Am I being singled out for being ignored? Or do this happen more often to customers who just doesn't complain? I will never come back, and if you value your time, do not come to this barbershop !!!

On a few occasions, when my regular stylist wasn't available, Victoria cut and coloured my hair. I found Victoria to often be rude, unpleasant and rough with me and some other customers while not cutting and styling my hair properly. Therefore, I stopped booking my future appointments with her. Due to Victoria's behaviour, I can't recommend her to potential customers. I only have positive things to say about the other staff who are all pleasant and dedicated to giving their customers good results. Joe, the owner, is a great guy. Horrible experience. Shawna does not know how to bleach out difficult hair! I can do a better job…read morewith box bleach and still not destroy my hair! She was aware my hair could handle a lot, as I told her a few times. I was most certainly not a priority, as I was there for 4 hours and she would bounce between me and other clients the entire time, which I get she gets busy. However after spending $250, I ended up with hair that had orange highlights, that was supposed to be balayage. She did the technique, but it still ended up looking like highlights. She told me at the end of the appointment that it was simply the lighting in the salon that my hair ended up looking "slightly" orange. I looked like a tiger... She wanted to fix it, however all she said she was willing to do to fix it, was to tone it further. Any person with half a brain knows that would never work, so I would travel to Ottawa for nothing. I have seen other clients results and they turned out fantastic but if you have difficult to bleach hair, that has red undertones, then I would suggest not trusting her with your hair as she will make a complete mess of it.
