The salon is fairly basic and a little rougher around the edges. Chris the owner (I believe) was friendly and pleasant to chat with, so was his little girl who poking around taking it all in. She was super entertaining:) I almost got up and left while waiting for Leo to show up, which he did 15 minutes late, after Chris went to find him twice. I was booked as the first appointment of the day so I was a little annoyed at waiting but I got over it quickly. I'm super happy that I stayed because I'm very pleased with my highlights and cut. I was literally in tears on the table throughout. Using a 'new technique' (sugaring?) the technician went over each raw spot again and again and again and again. I asked if it would be possible to come back to a spot, work other areas in between, she said no. I have remained in pain for the remainder of that day and again today (the next day). Unbelievable. Worst I ever had.

I enjoyed the double braid she put in, it looked nice. A week later I undid the braids and my hair was poofy, like Weird Al Yankovik, it was lovely, I never had my hair so curly before. Sara is specifically trained in this technique, and it's obvious. She was able to give me exactly what I was looking for - more dimension and a more natural look to my hair. I love that Sara took the time to ask me questions about how I wear and care for my hair, and to help me find different images of the color I wanted.
