When we woke up last Saturday and the VW neglected to start we were more than bummed. Mr. and Mrs. B suggested we call Spring Valley Motors. We did, they were closed until Monday. Monday morning I called and Kirk was (as my brother says) right on time. I explained the problem and he agreed to call me back with a tow time. There was a little confusion that followed about the towing, which was completely my fault - for those of you who have never had your car towed for repairs, you need to leave the keys in the car and the tow company will pick the car up with the keys inside - but within a couple hours Kirk had our VW in his shop and had generously picked our key up on his way to get his lunch. By 1:00 pm Monday afternoon Team VP had a diagnosis: a new battery! The battery was $179, the tow was $65 and we paid $75 for a general look over. I looked up batteries for VW TDIs and the prices ranged from $100 to $200, so this coupled with the fact that Mr. MVP and I have no idea how to change a battery we think Spring Valley Motors gave us a very fair price. Kirk had our VW ready to be picked up by 2:45 pm on Monday afternoon. Mr. MVP took an Uber over and we are once again a one car family. For those of you wondering I asked and Kirk said his shop does all the regular maintenance that VWs require as well as repairs. They charge about $100 for TDI oil changes which is the going rate in Kalamazoo.

Motorcars of Kalamazoo and Motorcars Of Lansing have…read moreconsistently had the best customer service experience I've ever witnessed. I've never had a salesman or the owner of the dealership treat me like family and take care of all of my needs and wants , But more importantly they knew my budget and it was less than I even thought it would be. I initially got there I checked over all their inventory and they didn't have the truck I wanted, That's when the owner got involved and said, No problem I'll go buy you what you want just give me 5-7 days and I'll have it here, I told him I wasn't sure if I was ready to buy just yet, He assured me that it was no big deal if didn't he says I promise you somebody else will buy it, I said ok and left,I got a call 5 days later the salesman said when can you come take your truck for test drive? Shocked to say the least was my reaction it took them only 5 days to buy, service, detail and have the truck parked in front of the dealership ready for me to take a test drive, Impressive I thought, Took one look at it and it was exactly the truck I wanted with all the options I asked for,I was extremely impressed with the owners attention to detail.(John) I strongly recommend if you're in the market for a pre-owned vehicle don't hesitate to go in and give these professionals who are experienced experts a shot to capture your business because they will by going above and beyond. Thank you again to the (owner)John for getting involved and providing me with not only the truck of my dreams but also the absolute best experience I've ever had at a dealership. Yours very sincerely respectfully, Harold F Ward

I purchased a Jeep Wagoneer from this MotorCarsOnline location on December 8, and the situation has…read morenow been ongoing for nearly three months without being fully resolved. Shortly after leaving the dealership and beginning the drive home, the vehicle started displaying electrical warning lights and sensor alerts. The vehicle was also leaking oil due to a loose oil filter that had not been properly tightened. When I contacted the dealership about the warning lights, I was told in writing that they "knew what the issue was" and that they had already spoken with their service department about it. Despite that, the vehicle still required diagnostic work at a Jeep dealership to address the problem. There were also issues regarding the spare key. I was told in writing that the key would go out in that day's mail, but that never actually happened. After several weeks of follow-up it became clear the key had not been mailed. During the process of trying to resolve the missing key issue, a staff member even asked whether I would be willing to sign an NDA before they sent payment for the replacement key, which was surprising given the situation. Another major issue has been the warranty paperwork. The warranty was supposed to reflect commercial use with unlimited mileage and a $100 deductible, since the vehicle was purchased in my company's name and is used for work. However, the warranty was processed incorrectly and has required additional time and effort to correct. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly with the dealership, including speaking with the general manager, Mark, who informed me that the matter had been placed on Simone to handle. Despite that, I still have not received direct communication from Simone to finalize the remaining warranty correction. At this point, I am simply asking for the vehicle and warranty to reflect the terms originally agreed upon at purchase and for the remaining issues to be resolved. I hope the dealership will reach out so this situation can be resolved before I need to escalate the matter further.
