had a great experience with jeremy! very accommodating and quick to respond. i got a very nice car. a couple weeks into driving i had a check engine light come on. i brought it back to the dealership and they took care of it for me with no out of pocket expenses. would definitely recommend jeremy and automaxx for anybody searching for a vehicle.

When we woke up last Saturday and the VW neglected to start we were more than bummed. Mr. and Mrs. B suggested we call Spring Valley Motors. We did, they were closed until Monday. Monday morning I called and Kirk was (as my brother says) right on time. I explained the problem and he agreed to call me back with a tow time. There was a little confusion that followed about the towing, which was completely my fault - for those of you who have never had your car towed for repairs, you need to leave the keys in the car and the tow company will pick the car up with the keys inside - but within a couple hours Kirk had our VW in his shop and had generously picked our key up on his way to get his lunch. By 1:00 pm Monday afternoon Team VP had a diagnosis: a new battery! The battery was $179, the tow was $65 and we paid $75 for a general look over. I looked up batteries for VW TDIs and the prices ranged from $100 to $200, so this coupled with the fact that Mr. MVP and I have no idea how to change a battery we think Spring Valley Motors gave us a very fair price. Kirk had our VW ready to be picked up by 2:45 pm on Monday afternoon. Mr. MVP took an Uber over and we are once again a one car family. For those of you wondering I asked and Kirk said his shop does all the regular maintenance that VWs require as well as repairs. They charge about $100 for TDI oil changes which is the going rate in Kalamazoo.

I was told the dealership part was needed and they would contact the dealership (roughly over 60 days ago), I asked if I buy the part myself can they just install. I was told yes. when scheduling the appointment after the part was purchased I was told they don't use parts not from the dealership but they will make an exception. I make it to my appointment today and now I get told they will NOT do the work because they lack the tools...they could have minimum asked me if I wanted a shot of the liquor they had before wasting my time and money with the run around. to make it worse the manager put in the computer system I needed my struts repaired which was NOT what I told him at all.

We are from out of state had no idea where to go for auto repairs in he Kalamazoo area. As we have…read morea family member going to school in the area. With convenience being at the top of the list we dropped the car off here. Needs rear shocks and front control arms about 2K in repairs said ok. Got the car back repair lasted 2 days rear shock failed. Take the car back staff immediately accuses us of driving car too hard into a parking lot and now vehicle needs shocks mounts since one broke. $400 more but they are gonna warranty the 2 day old parts well thats good since most suppliers and manufacturers have a parts warranty. Staff doesn't know i build cars as s hobby and since it's 2026 must everyone knows mass produced parts aren't the heartiest and seems like chain auto supply parts fail at a fairly high rate but yeah always accuse and insult the customer. Anyways agreed to pay for shock mounts. I'm like $2400 into repairs now. Get a call shocks replaced and mounts replaced. But now told it needs rear CV shafts.... So your mechanics worked in the area 2 days ago and there wasn't a CV boot issue but now both sides have torn boots odd but ok. Anyways we get it on a lift to look at their repairs and recommendations and wouldn't you know the cv shaft boots look like someone ran a torch across them. Not saying it was intentional but come on. If you dont work in tight spaces alot with a torch things happen get a mount bolt hot pull the torch down and it goes across a rubber boot i mean it happens. But to instantly go at a customer that your car needs cv shafts now after not needing them 2 days ago i mean cone on. Like we made a mistake you buy parts and we'll eat the labor some type of give and take. "Like either our mechanic opps when working on the vehicle or our Saturday mechsnics were incompetent and missed torn CV shaft boots either way seems like the customer service way of handling this. Anything other than quoting full price at that point was a mistake. Anyways in my experience place seems like a franchised money grab that i can't in good faith tell another person to go there. Did find a good shop in the area that i trust but it sure isn't this one.
