The older lady patiently waited and when I called back an hour later- I ordered another taxi for the lady thinking they forgot about her and he said they have one for my address already. In times like this with Uber and Lyft, which I suggested to the customer to use for now on- you would think that Dan the Taxi man would be more professional and courteous. I would like to use zero stars but to post this review- I have to use at least one.

A few weeks ago my family member got a ride with home team transportation; the customer service that we received blew me out of the water. Our driver, David, was so nice and so experienced that I knew I had to at least give him a good review. Luckily I'm the first one to do so on yelp! He was caring & everything you should expect from a transportation company. He even told me they have an APP to book transportation. The Van was clean and he kept a polite conversation with us the entire ride to the appointment. And let's not forget to mention the fact that he was on time! We were a party of 11 and they moved us to two different locations over a two week period and dropped us back at the airport - seamlessly. I found this shuttle googling and booked in advance and got Joe as my driver. He called me the night before (though I missed the call) and well in advance of my landing to confirm that I had arrived and when he would pick me up. I could not have had a better driver for the ordeal we went through. There was a major accident on the highway with delays of two hours. Though it took us almost three hours to get to Ocala, it was not within his control, but he tried his best to take an alternate route which likely got us there in more time than we would have if we had gone on the highway. Joe was friendly and knew a lot about the area. I felt badly I was so tired, but he took it all in stride and got me directly to my destination. Though I was nervous at first booking a shuttle I didn't know anything about, and wasn't sure if it would be reliable, I was left pleasantly surprised. Would recommend.

I ended up staying another night in the hospital because I had no way home. (I was taken there by EMT and my family is not local). I called all over the place the day after Christmas (12/26/20). At 10 am, I got in contact with one taxi service but they said they wouldn't have anyone available until 12:30 PM. They said they'd call me back in a little bit to confirm. They never called back. I found Excalibur Taxi Service in a Google search around 10:45 AM. It had no reviews. I was very skeptical. I didn't want to end up in some skeevy car with some sketchy driver. When I called, it sounded like a teenager answered the phone. This didn't help me feel better. He was polite and took my information and answered my questions, but he sounded so *young*. I still made an arrangement for a pickup because no one other taxi services were answering. I was supposed to be picked up at 12:30 PM. They said they'd call me when the driver was near. I ended up calling them at 12:15pm to make sure they were still coming. (I was so afraid that they wouldn't show up because it was hard even finding someone to pick me up.) The same person answered the phone and assured me that they were. The driver (female) arrived on time. Turns out that it *was* a young adult answering the phone. It was her son. Lol. In the taxi ride (a cute Kia Soul with her company logo on front) she explained that they are a small company owned by her and her husband. They sounded relatively new. Her son works for them. I will use them again. She was on time. She charged a reasonable rate to take me from Ocala to Dunnellon. The vehicle was clean and didn't small like smoke. I gave her a $20 tip for being prompt and professional. Give them a try. Support a small business. Also, don't freak out if the person who answers the phone sounds young. He is, but he will make sure your ride is arranged.
