I went to Ocala for a wedding in December 2019 and I was surprised to see how challenging it was to get from any airport to Ocala. I found this shuttle googling and booked in advance and got Joe as my driver. He called me the night before (though I missed the call) and well in advance of my landing to confirm that I had arrived and when he would pick me up. I could not have had a better driver for the ordeal we went through. There was a major accident on the highway with delays of two hours. Though it took us almost three hours to get to Ocala, it was not within his control, but he tried his best to take an alternate route which likely got us there in more time than we would have if we had gone on the highway. Joe was friendly and knew a lot about the area. I felt badly I was so tired, but he took it all in stride and got me directly to my destination. Though I was nervous at first booking a shuttle I didn't know anything about, and wasn't sure if it would be reliable, I was left pleasantly surprised. Would recommend. read more

I have used the service from my home in Ocala to the Orlando airport twice. Going to the airport I had an excellent experience both times. Also excellent returning from the airport to Ocala the first time. However, returning from Orlando to Ocala on December 14 was a HORRIBLE experience. My flight from JFK was delayed about 90 minutes. Even though I texted the driver three times with updates, when I landed he texted that he had left after a half hour of waiting. I called the office which said I needed to find another way home. I did. I spent $200 on a Lyft ride. I called the Shuttleliner office the next morning. The man I spoke with was very rude. He said they are not taxies or private cars, they are a shuttle service on a scheduled basis. OK, if that's the case, I get it. But if so, why did I not get a refund for NOT using the service??? It was $125 plus $50 pick up at home plus $20 driver tip. I should at the very least get the $20 driver tip refunded. After spending a total of $395 to get from Orlando to Ocala and being rudely treated by the man at their office, you can be sure I will NOT be using them again and will NOT recommend their services. And fair warning! If you use Shuttleliner of Ocala be sure to ask ahead what, exactly, is their policy if your flight is delayed. read more

Decided to use Shuttleliner for transport to Orlando International Airport. Very pleased to find that affordable passenger vans were available 6, 8, 10AM, noon and 3PM at various locations throughout Marion county. You are able to book one way or round trip service online. We opted for a private car. You text at least 48 hours before and Shuttleliner calls you back promptly. You pay in full with a credit card and receive email confirmation. The night before pickup we received a confirmation text from Victor our driver. He arrived 15 minutes early and assisted with our luggage. Driver was courteous, professional and safe. The vehicle was impeccable. I will definitely use Shuttleliner for all my future airport transportation needs. read more

Haven't used SL of Ocala since pre-covid & am happy to report the service is still stellar & though I didn't think possible has even improved over time! I booked both a personal black car & the shuttle bus for my recent FL trip last week. The black car (driver Cesar) was UHmazing, they texted me from the moment I landed. I am so glad there is a shuttle from Ocala to the Orlando airport (and to Ocala if you fly in). I was visiting my senior mother and didn't expect her to take me to the airport. I usually rent a car but it was a last minute trip and I couldn't get a car so I didn't have the option of taking myself back to the airport. Once I booked my return flight I got on Yelp and found Shuttleliner. Booking was easy and the email communication lets you know what to expect. James was my driver and he called the night before to let me know what time he'd pick me up. I paid for house pickup. He was right on time. The shuttle only had 4 customers and the ride went rather fast. I thought I'd be on the shuttle all day but I was only on for about 2 hours. I got to the airport nice and early. As long as my mom lives in Ocala I'm glad there's an option to get there and back. It's cheaper than renting a car too. read more

I really can't say what I think except I started out at just shy of $50. The price went to $70.00 for home pickup. Then I'm told $70.00 per person one way. Twice the price of a car service for just two of us vs a van pickup with multiple passengers. Actually the cost is $75.00 for two with the car service. $150.00 for Round trip service. Sure beats paying $280.00. Again I have not tried the van service & must guess that it takes many many people to the airport or to cruise ports. read more

On December 23, 2023 I left my computer bag with the laptop and some important documents on the back set of the shuttle. One day after I realized the bag was missing. I called the shuttleliner office and was told that no one bought in any computers. The driver scheduled for the route that evening was very rude and unkind. He saw me struggling with four suitcases plus carry-on and my elderly mother ( who was sick because we had to sleep in JFK Airpirt overnight because we were bumped from American Airlines 7:30AM the day before) We had to purchase new tickets with Delta Airlines to leave JFK early in the 23rd). That driver stood behind the van door and never came to assist us. We were travelling from NY to Orlando's MCO. The shuttleliner would then take us to Ocala. This is my second time using the Shuttleliner of Ocala and both times I have had excellent drivers. This trip Sebastian was polite, helpful and awesome. Excellent customer service from the driver. My only problem was the cold way I was dealt with by the supervisor on the phone. My flight was delayed so I arrived after 7pm which was the time for the shuttle to leave. The driver said he would wait for me. To add to my stressful journey my bags did not come down on the belt. My phone is not connected to the US system since I am from Jamaica so when I was disconnected from the wifi at one point, I had no way of communicating with the driver. I was sure he had left me. He spoke to his other passenger and that passenger told him she was okay waiting. I was grateful. After 1 hour I knew they couldn't wait anymore so I left WITHOUT my bags and went with the shuttle. On the journey I was called by the supervisor who told me that I needed to pay $50 more. I explained that I didn't have it and would have let the shuttle leave me if I knew there was an extra cost. He insisted and I explained that I really couldn't afford it at this time. He rudely said okay they would not charge me but DON"T CALL THEM BACK. I WAS BANNED BECAUSE I COULD NOT AFFORD THE EXTRA COST. I think this was cold and inconsiderate. If I had it, I would have paid it. Excellent driver. This was probably the most horrific experience a customer could ever have. Background: I was travelling from New York to Orlando and then taking a shuttle to Ocala. My flight landed at around 9:30 AM. I was supposed to meet with a friend at the airport at 11:30 AM. Therefore, i booked the Shuttle to Ocala from Orlando Airport at 1 PM. Bad experience: The owner or someone from the shuttle service calls me at 11AM (2 hours BEFORE the actual shuttle departure) saying that he knows my flight has landed and all the other passengers have arrived; so the shuttle was leaving. I told him about my plans to meet with my friend and the actual timing of 1 PM and he starts arguing with me, saying that he can't wait until 1 PM. The person on the phone started raising his voice and telling me that I was being inconsiderate. I mean WTF? If you have specifically mentioned on your website that the shuttle departs at 1 PM, why would you call someone two hours early and start giving them crap? I don't care when my flight arrives. If i have booked my shuttle for 1 PM, you have no right to push me to an earlier shuttle. I did end up leaving early, (12:30 PM) because i was worried that the guy driving might leave me hanging at the airport. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. NO ONE SHOULD BE GOING THROUGH THIS. Our driver Jeff, was a hot-headed bully who threatened to kick the ass of an elderly gentleman in the parking lot for merely taking a picture of his family in the van. Makes one wonder why he's so concerned about having his picture taken .. This is the worst service ever! They are extremely unprofessional. I called to make a reservation and after waiting hours at the airport and calling 7 times to inquire about why no shuttle came a very rude woman called me up and barked that no shuttle will be coming and so I asked for customer service complaint number and the person's name They only said I'd get a refund then abruptly hung up the phone! They have an answering service that they don't tell you that when making a reservation, however just because you have a reservation and give them your money, no guarantee that you'll get any service at all. I was quite pleased with the energy and attitude of the driver. During our ride, he would provide a few facts/updates (similar to that of a tour guide) of what's going on at different points of the ride. However, I did not appreciate the fact the driver was playing with his mounted cell phone while on the highway. In fact, one instance he received a text and read it and another instance he showed a text to a passenger sitting next to him. While I couldn't view the speedometer, it felt like he was driving over the speed limit and I'm not sure why we stopped off to gas up upon arriving in Ocala. read more

They force you to book in advance or there's a $10 fee. You can't pay the driver, must use a card. Agent didn't explain additional charges and I was charged $30 more than expected. After a limo, this is by far the most expensive way to Ocala from Orlando, with the worst schedule. Terrible for business travelers on short notice or late arrivals. Last mile fees are higher than a taxi. Other companies do it for almost half the price. read more

Good morning fellow consumers where do I begin. I made this account as of today to make sure no other human beings do business with this company. I wish there was a negative star option to accurately represent my experience. I made reservation on the 19th of February for point to point private driving service from my residence to the Gainesville airport. that original phone conversation was spent being told my flight time was inaccurate instead of telling me the early time would be hard to accommodate. I then inquired about veteran discounts which Mr. Giovanni avoided a direct answer and segwayed to telling me that my early appointment was a boon or favor to me instead of a veteran discount that the time of my reservation isn't a normal accommodation. 5 days after booking I received a second email based on my original inquiry. Not only as a customer but a first time customer with them makes this concerning since at this point they already have my money. so in my mind I think I was just scammed or this company is woefully inefficient or maybe mismanaged and may be foreshadowing a future experience as in my driver not showing. I send a email explaining my concerns granted I didn't ask any questions but I did express a concern in this email that to any good business owner would be excellent talking points and opportunity to display customer service skills. Instead I receive a email with no apology or any presence of concern in said email that was how do I say this kindly poorly worded. I shoot another email off this time asking questions and expressing what I would consider to be normal concerns. That email leads to a follow up email saying sir call me mind you I'm at work luckily on break a couple of minutes after which I receive multiple phone calls. The second call comes through I answer no proper greeting of the day starts the call with is this Jonathan I responded Good evening yes then asks me what am I confused about because I made everything clear the first time we talked I responded no sir you didn't, my concerns are I don't know who my driver is as in name what vehicle make model color is picking me up is the vehicle large enough to accommodate my needs. He responded with you don't need to know that I don't know whos coming to get you but I assure you the vehicle will be big enough to fit all of you and your stuff I then asked how do you know that if you don't know what vehicle or driver is coming to get me he took a deep breath mind you he was talking over and through me the whole time then said what's the deal with this veterans discount I'm a veteran I was a navy seal Marine for 15 years which he quickly corrected to just navy seal and then explained he's owned and operated this business for 10 years. I said okay I can respect that where did you do your training? what was your mos? Mr. Giovanni quickly said okay ill give you $25 off still no response to my questions about his clearly BS navy seal claim and to my original concerns I then satirically thanked him for his quote un quote service to which he then ended the phone call by hanging up. It was clear from the beginning of the phone call that he was more concerned with preserving his ego and retaining his image on a personal level then providing customers service and offering a good experience. This is classic Ocala a poorly managed company with zero customer service skills lack of regard for others that wouldn't know how to run a company if a step by step manual on how to do it hit them in the face and full of you know what.This is a true sign of the times customers nowadays are nothing more then a number! Riddle me this Mr. Giovanni you look id say early to mid 40's after your 24 years working at your family restaurant 10 years of being with this company per you meet the owner info you provided on yelp and having to meet the minimum requirement of being 18yrs to enlist how did you fit being a navy seal for 15 years in your life? Steer clear of this company and the ego maniac Mr. Giovanni, do yourself a favor and go with another company I would suggest Signature Taxi they also offer the same accommodations for the same $125 fee and I assure you the customer service will be a world of difference. My mom was convinced she could just show up and get a seat but luckily I booked her seat in advance and even then, the most convenient time for her was full. For the return flight she was to land at 2:30 pm and we reserved a 7pm bus incase there was delays leaving NY, but there wasn't and they let her on the 3pm bus when she arrived. We left Dee Dee's before 8am. Went to Hilton for a pick up... then Four Ranch.... and we're still in Four Ranch. The driver did not have good directions. We fully toured Four Ranch for over 1/2 hour. AND .... we still need to stop again at the Belleview exit. FINALLY AT 8:49 we're on I-75 heading to the Sleep Inn for the last pick up. This is the most frustrating ride ever!!!! I didn't have much of anything positive to say about this company. 5 years ago I had to wait at MCO for another flight to come in before heading to Ocala. Four hours! I made a complaint and it was not addressed. It was just ignored. This time, my family said, "try them again!" Today, I did. Joe provides great driving even when schedule was changed. Dispatcher called and even with some confusion- all went well. I appreciated being listened to as a customer and getting to my destination. I had to give a star to post but quite honestly, if I could give this sham service a negative rating, I would. I booked a 10am shuttle for my husband. We drove to Ocala from Gainesville and arrived 20 minutes early. My husband received a text stating the shuttle would arrive at 10am. When that time came and went, I called and spoke to an EXTREMELY rude woman who proceeded to tell me their 10am shuttle, left at 9:15am. Although the website states that additional pick up locations are 15 and 30 minutes later than the 10am pick up location, this woman berated me on how I figured they would pick up 7 other people and leave Ocala by 10am,smh...WHAT? I was then told the only thing they could do was put my husband on their 3pm shuttle, (which was to leave at 3pm), for a 3:30 flight. When I told the woman that was unacceptable and that I would like a refund, she literally hung up on me. Low class... how does anyone do business like this and think it's OK?
