We went to so many nail salons before I finally found "my people" and I absolutely adore every single one of them. She put me at ease, by telling me that she would not use the dremel. Oh thank goodness. The shop was very clean and very pleasant and very friendly!!! I tried M Nails on Baldwin road in Orion Township for the first time today. While the staff was…read morevery nice and my tech did a good job, I watched as they "cleaned" the footbath after my pedicure. I did not see any kind of disinfectant used, all I saw was a tech who used what looked like a Mr. Clean white foam sponge to wipe out the footbath, followed by a hand towel to dry it. He then refilled the footbath and the next customer was seated. They don't use the plastic liners that other salons use. When he was done with the white sponge he tossed it back into the drawer my nail tech keeps her tools in while it was still dripping wet. Sorry, but that doesn't sound like proper cleaning to me. If they cleaned and disinfected properly I would be a return customer, but I won't take the chance of picking up a fungus when there are other salons to choose from.
